The golf plazza is a lovely friendly hotel the staff are amazing and the food was beautiful every night we were spoilt for choice.. the entertainment team were exceptional espessially Miguel and kirstin can't wait to go back
Don’t bother wasting your holiday money at this place. Food is a shocking. The owner of the hotel don’t care about ur health or concerns. And watch what you leave behind in your room. It’ll either get stolen or used. I wouldn’t class this place as an all inclusive as you don’t have much to choose unless your willing to pay more.
Probably our fourth stay here and given what is happening at the moment our most interesting. We were booked in from 27th February till 19th March so caught the back end of the Spanish Lockdown. As usual service from all quarters was excellent whether it be reception, maintenance, cleaners entertainment team and waiting staff. We had a number of friends and family stay with us over the period and they were all impressed by the resort. We normally only use the room catering facilities for breakfast and lunch, eating out every evening in the many excellent restaurants but had to use the hotel restaurant for the last 4 days which is the first time for us. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety, quality and amount of food, from a starter buffet and various themed meals Chinese Indian Italian etc. A big thanks to all the staff and hope that when all this disruption to our lives subsides all the staff are there to greet us next March…
Impressive reception and the welcome was great , th e reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Great free bus to la s America's surprised its not used more. Pool area was nice vie s of the mountains and lovely comfy cushions on the sunbeds. Good to see the sunbed cemetery was tidied away ;-). the apartment was very spacious and clean . Finally have to say Miguel on the animation team is great I have worked in the industry and he is one of the best lovely voice too always so happy, clearly loves his job . The young lady who was training with him was great too. We hope to return later in the year and wish you all the best in these difficult times.
Hotel looks good, modern and stylish. We were given an enormous room with a huge balcony with views of both the sea and the mountains - really fantastic space. Kitchen was small but functional (though the oven was pretty hopeless). Bed was large and comfortable, the sofa bed less so, but acceptable. Shame there weren't more soft chairs when the sofa bed was in use. Staff were, overall, friendly and efficient. Cleaning staff were excellent - overall cleanliness was very good. Nice pool, but cold. Plenty of space around it, plus the pool bar. We only used the restaurant once for breakfast - which was fine, but not exceptional - and once for lunch, which was very disappointing, most food was cold. Might have been better had we been there at the start of services rather than an hour later. Biggest problem, though, is the location. While conveniently close to the airport (<10 mins by taxi) it means significant aircraft noise. Great if you're an aircraft fan, less so if not. They are very low and loud. And this was a relatively quiet time. But even that is tolerable. Golf del Sur, if you're not a golfer, is barely a resort. A handful of restaurants (some pretty good), no beach to speak of, and no character or life. San Blas, nearby/walkable, has a commercial centre which is a bit livelier, but it's probably 30 mins walk from the hotel. Shame, really. Lots to like, but too much to dislike.…
