we love this quirky hotel, it was the 2nd time we stayed here, people are friendly, the place was quiet, the small hotel was quirky, we love how they keep the original characters of the house, it was a great renovation with modern touches. the location is great, just 15 mins drive to the airport and is on route to El Tiede, We will be back if we are in the area.

Looking for something within striking distance of the South Airport, we stayed here for three nights. Old property within the old area of the town, modern beds and bathrooms, TV and dependable wifi in the rooms.Interiors/ corridors/ guest sitting room left as authentic as possible.Probably 8/10 rooms and 18 tables in restaurant, where breakfast also taken. Outside courtyard with raised areas and some seats in the bar area.Host/wife and quite a lot of staff always around - all friendly. Parking on road nearby, we found to be no problem. Dinner was good although sauces slightly on the rich side - simple breakfast but very adequate. Reasonable prices. About ten minutes north of the Golf del Sur roundabout, or should be, other than the roundabout seems more busy than ever- there are extensive road repairs/changes just off the roundabout going to San Miguel (April 2017) : easy way round this is to use the next junction going towards Los Cristianos and head to Buzanada / Castillo San Miguel. Couple of other eateries in San Miguel so no need to be on the road in the evening

We stumbled on this restaurant inside the hotel whilst driving down from the mountains. Stopped in San Miguel for a look and although it was empty, a person in the courtyard called to us and suggested we eat there. Mid-afternoon. Quite dark inside but very clean and attractive restaurant. The menu was for local Spanish food and we opted for pork and chicken dishes and a fish dish, with local wine . It didn't take too long to prepare and was very tasty. The ladies were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our long lunch and laughed at our communication skills! We would recommend a meal here for something different. A pretty courtyard outside for coffee.

About 15 minutes from the airport this family run hotel and restaurant is in an old rambling building. It is rather like staying with an elderly relative with sitting rooms full of 'nick nacks'! The bedrooms are large with lots of old furniture. The restaurant serves excellent local food - our dinner was very tasty (local ingredients cooked 'Canarian' style). The breakfasts were simple but with some superb confiture and quality coffee. The local town is surprisingly unspoilt by tourism despite being only 20+ minutes drive to the 'madding crowds'. Try the local vegetable shop & bakery - yummy food. Parking about 100m. down the road, where there are usually places. The only issue was solving the mystery of how the shower control worked.....in the end I had to 'cheat' and ask. We were shown how to use the control with 'eyes raised' and some tutting otherwise the staff were very friendly. It is right by a main road but we are early risers so the noise didn't bother us.

Huge room but very dark and the bed was solid. Nice breakfast but they charged us extra which we hadn't been made aware of. Lovely little courtyard for a beer when we arrived. Not too far from the airport. Plenty of restaurants in the town to choose from - I wouldn't recommend eating at the hotel.
