Returned yesterday from the solana, upon arrival was pretty shocked how basic apartment was, but found it too be in perfect location 300 steps to and from bars but this wasn't a problem and really only took ten mins to get too centre, weather was fab, my only advice would be too take some ear plugs as was woken every... stayed here in October. After reading the reviews we knew what we were going to. In reality couldnt really fault the place. Yes very basic, but very clean and lovely pool area. Nice staff. Met some lovely people, had good weather enjoyed the area, beach is lovely. yes its hilly and lots of stairs but at 3euros for a taxi... More

Me & my partner are staying in the solana just now, we are in room 121 which is below the pool with around 30-40 steep stairs to the reception and road/pavment. On arrival the reception was opened to we where giving keys and had to carry our heavy suitcases all the way down those steep stairs to which I nearly... More

Clean, that's the first thing, very clean - and basic but comfortable enough given that in this climate, it literally is going to be used for breakfast and sleeping. Just come back from the Solana apartments Puerto rico, basic apartment but clean only promblem was the steps leading down to pool or apartment very steep one poor lady fell down on her first night there !! Holidayed here for a week mid September and having read the reviews more or less knew what to expect. Like others have said arrived quite late and no-one at reception - key in door and note in window saying so. Apartment was basic but nice and clean and perfectly adequate for budget accommodation. Cheap and cheerful 5min walk from all amenities steps all way down managed this got taxi back 3euros so all good,our room overlooked nightlife if light sleeper not for you,pool great for meeting people we met lovely couples and family's that we wont forget made our holiday who say irsh, scots,english dont mix, barman was fantasic very friendly done mostly...
