2 adults and 2 teenagers just returned 1 weeks holiday at Solana, apartments are old and dated but clean, much better than I was expecting. if you have mobility issues Puerto Rico is probably not for you all apartments set in the hills, many steps, but taxis are very cheap to Shopping centre 2.50 euros. You do get noise from...

The Solana apartments are directly behind the bottom shopping centre and so the first problem is the noise of music, that is very loud and continues till 3.30am. Secondly you have to climb two very long and steep flight of stairs that would challenge even a very fit person, so they no good if you are unsteady on your feet...

We got here to find no-one about. Asked guests where reception staff could be found and the barman appeared to check us in. He gave us basic directions to our apartment and left us to it. We carried out luggage down 68 steps to get to our room - shattered by the time we got there. Went to put the...

Arrived at the Solana to no reception open. A sign on the window told us where we were staying. Not a hotel, the apartment was clean but unless you ask they only replace the towels once a week. On the first night we had great difficulty opening the door with the key because there was a knack to it. Other...

We have been travelling to Puerto Rico for over 20 years and have stayed in the most popular hotels. We were looking for a cheap pre-Christmas break and found the Solana. Apartment was clean, maids very friendly and everything we needed. Yes, no kettle but just heated water up in pot no problem. Returning in February for another cheap week.
