I am staying at Hotel Playa de la Luz right now. It is midnight. There is so much noise, swearing, yelling, and drunken reveling right outside my door and echoing through the entire courtyard that I can't even think about getting to sleep. Four hours ago, I went to the front reception desk and told them that I could see...

Dear Client, Thank you for your comments. We are really sorry about the noise, there was a party at the hotel and clients coming out of the party made some noise at the gardens. We are really sorry about this. Best regards, Sophie

My partner and I spent the first ten days of September in this delightful hotel. The stay was very much made for us by the lovely room we had - No. 58, first floor with wonderful panoramic sea view and very quiet. The food was well prepared, fresh and quickly replenished. The gardens around the pool had a lot of...

Agree with previous reviewers: the hotel trades on its setting right on the beach. We arrived on 3rd September, a treat to ourself for our wedding anniversary. Not a good start, reception staff said they had no record of our booking and a very rude receptionist who kept waving paper in our face saying we had cancelled. Explained that we...

This hotel is almost perfect, the swimming pool is quite beautiful, the beach too, the food is delicious and varied but, the only bad thing is that the Internet connection is very bad and slow. So if you want a hotel with a good internet connection, please don't choose this hotel ! The rest is really perfect, Rota is a...

Very nice hotel in Andalusian style with a beautiful garden. We stayed here for two weeks in a junior suite and enjoyed our stay very much. The room was spacy and clean and consisted of two large single beds side to side and a large sleeping couch. The two areas could be separated by inner doors. Each area had its...

Stayed at the Hotel Playa de la Luz for 3 nights while visiting friends. Made the booking well in advance requesting sea rooms. Upon arrival was pleased to find a nice looking hotel, but with a tiny car park for the number of guests which leads to problems parking (possibly only at peak season). Check in was reasonably painless, however...

We traveled to Rota for an Infantil Baseball Tournament at the end of May. (yes! Baseball in Spain, it's fantastic!) We were a group of 12 families, all with 2 or more kids. The hotel is in a fantastic location; on the beach, plenty of free parking, walking distance to a handful of restaurants, etc. Breakfast was included in our...

The hotel is a bit old but well maintained. It was extremely clean. The facilities match with a 3 star hotel. The food was great. The beach was average. There are other much better Playas nearby. The rooms were sufficient but not very cosy.

When entering the lobby, you might think this is a small hotel, but in fact it is rather big! My room looked as if it was brand new (not sure how long it was there, compared to other parts of the hotel. It was a large, bright room with even a small corner where you could cook yourself a meal,...
