My husband and I stayed in room 26 (over the restaurant) in late July this year. It had the most amazing view of the Tuscan countryside. The Villa is conveniently located and while staying there we traveled to Sienna, to Radda, to Greve, and even followed the Itinerary No.2 recommended by the Villa. This started out on a rather rocky...

We stayed here with a group hiking through Tuscany for two nights. This old property is a gem in the countryside. The property is so beautiful - the views of the countryside, the pool and rose gardens are wonderful. The on site restaurant has excellent food and wine - a great selection of Super Tuscans! The various common / sitting...

Dear Sunnydreamcanada, I am very glad you enjoyed Villa le Barone during your hike in Tuscany: you are right, Villa le Barone, its gardens, its restaurants make it the ideal place to unwind after a long hike in the hills or after a day of sightseeing. May I ask what prevented you for not giving us a 5 out of...

We didn't make good use of this place. It's a wonderful retreat...scenic, friendly, sophisticated....we toured during the day, ate in local restaurants when this place is better suited for those who aren't going to move about like we did. The staff was friendly...the Count and Countess personally greeted us and made us feel welcome. Lots of history and all of...

Two couples traveling together stayed for three nights. Our rooms were small but serviceable. Pack light because there are many steps up to the rooms in the main villa. The grounds are gorgeous, with fruit trees, flowers, vegetable gardens, and expansive lawns with stunning views of the Tuscan countryside. Dear KayZee1313, Many thanks for the comments on your stay at Villa le Barone. I smiled at the suggestion about packing “lighter”, because I see, year after year, that suitcases become larger and larger and heavier and heavier “monsters” (two comments: 1) we have people to help carry the luggage 2) there are some nice articles on packing lighter that...
