This villa is everything I imagined of Tuscany and more. The villas are quaint and gorgeous, the view over the hills is expansive and beautiful. The gardens are charming. Every corner you turn, you find a lovely sight. We only booked one night, but wish we stayed longer. I will definitely return with family and friends!
Definitely worth coming back, a beautiful villa located in the heart of Chianti. Rooms are well kept and beautfiully decorated by Lady Maria Bianca, mostly her private collection, collected from around the world. If you have time, grab a book at the reception and read more about her and her life at Villa Le Barone. So much to explore within the property, whether sipping a glass of locally produced Chianti Classical at the patio, or grab a book to unwind at the library, a quick dip at the sizable pool with a scenic view, sunset watching, perhaps the best sunset i ever seen in Europe. We never dined there but the breakfast was good, classic Continental style. What I enjoyed the most was the serenity within the property, don’t get me wrong, the bookings seems to be full at all time but the overall atmosphere felt like being at a friend’s villa, intimate and personal.…
I had the most wonderful time at Villa Le Barone and highly recommend it for a memorable, authentic Tuscan experience. I recommend staying on the half board basis so you can enjoy the lovely food, especially the dinner which was candlelit, atmospheric, and delicious. For dessert, I loved the ice cream! The staff and service are impeccable. Paolo at reception was helpful and charming, allowing me to borrow books before purchasing them; Julia the head waitress was the absolute best, so meticulous and gracious; Francesca was extremely helpful in ironing my clothes for dinner. Staying here, you really feel like you’re part of a family in a very special ancestral home. I had the pleasure of meeting Corso and Jaquelin and cherish my time talking with them. The trees, the umbrellas, the green leaves, the moon in the daytime, the green hills, the bees, the lovely bedding, opening the door onto the warm Tuscan morning: I am so glad I got to be ensconced in this romantic world.…
We loved our stay here. Short, pretty walk to town of Panzano. The pool is super nice and the grounds are gorgeous and charming. Rooms were comfortable and stayed cool in the heat, I do wish conditioner was provided as part of amenities. Dinner at restaurant was great. Thank you :)
One of the most serene and beautiful places we have visited and stayed at. A real gem, rooms, staff, facilities and gardens are extraordinary. The owners were amazing in greeting their guests each morning and throughout the day. Truly a place to stay and recharge.
Spent 4 wonderful days in Tuscany in the apartments offered by Villa le Barone. Rustic well- kept apartments that transported us back in time and away from the hustle and bustle of the current times. Ate dinner there one night and all 9 of us enjoyed it. My daughters family ate breakfast there once and were similarly pleased.Even though we stayed in the apartments we were made to feel welcome at all the facilities and amenities offered. It did indeed feel that we were staying at a friends house. I want to specifically say thank you to the chef and kitchen staff who went above and beyond by making us some pasta when we returned from San Gimigano and found the Panzano restaurants to be closed. Conte & Contessa Aloisi Larderel are very lucky to have such loyal and helpful employees. If you are visiting Tuscany- this is the place to stay,…
My husband and I recently stayed for 3 nights at Villa Le Barone and we found this place to be truly magical. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners of the property and given a tour of the grounds. It was the perfect location to use as a home base for exploring Tuscany and enjoying the Chianti region. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed 2 dinners on the property as well. It was an easy 20 minute walk to the town on Panzano where there are charming stores and entoecas to enjoy as well. The highlight for us was coming back after a long hot day to the beautiful pool where we enjoyed a cocktail from the "honor bar" and listened to the birds chirping and the church bells ringing. If you are looking for an idyllic Tuscan getaway, look no further!
We first visited Villa le Barone six years ago, and we enjoyed it so much that when we booked a cruise leaving out of Rome this year we decided to come early and spend a few days in Tuscany. You always wonder if the luster of a great first visit will wear off and if the experience will be just as good the next time around. There was nothing to worry about! The hotel was as beautiful as we remembered it (even nicer!) and the on-site restaurant continues to delight with a tasty variety of Tuscan specialties. Some of the staff was still there and remembered us, which made the visit all the more welcoming. Villa le Barone is a special place with so much to do and see nearby. We are now looking forward to our next visit!
We were able to switch to Villa Barone after our agent mis-fired on Pensione in Panzano. We were warmly welcomed by the owners and staff @ Le Barone! The grounds are beautifully manicured, the pool was a nice reward after sightseeing and touring. Very quaint and nicely appointed. The food and beverage was excellent and reasonably priced. Bravo!
We’ve just returned from our third visit to Villa Le Barone, and are already planning our next trip. In a world full of noise and bustle, Villa Le Barone is truly an oasis of calm. The staff - many of whom have worked there for years, which I always see as a good sign - are always helpful and make every effort to make one’s stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Particular highlights for me are the infinity poo and the gardens. If you are looking for rest, relaxation and a restorative get away, this should be on your list.
