Basic comfort for 100 €/night, no lounge, no real choice for breakfast, VERY weak shower, no bulb in the bathroom mirror lamp, landlady absent most of the time - felt strange to be alone in a permanently unlocked building. Otherwise kind reception.

We LOVED our stay here! It's modern and clean, amazing views, kind folks, and delicious food! Right next to the water and green pastures. We were able to see the sunrise every morning from our window. The home is so peaceful and quiet you feel as if you're the only folks there until breakfast and you see the other relaxed... More

I stayed here to be close to the Skellig boat docks. It was by far the nicest place I stayed during my vacation in Ireland. The good: Very clean and modern Comfortable bed Decent sized room and bathroom, much larger than the previous two places I had stayed at in Galway and Killarney. Great breakfast Friendly and helpful hostess Easy... More

I'm just now getting around to reviewing all the wonderful Bed and Breakfasts we stayed in while in Ireland this past June. Portmagee Heights was the very best of the best. Not only is the place immaculately clean, beautiful, and modern, with great views of the water and surrounding hills - the breakfasts are gourmet quality, and the hostess, Monica,... More

We booked Portmagee Heights on the strength of the reviews we found, and based on its location so close to the dock in Portmagee. Like many others who visit the area, we planned to visit Skellig Michael, but had been running into some difficulty finding a place on the boats. When we let Monica at the B&B know, she said... We spent 1 night in Portmagee Heights. We booked that place on the day of arrival and we were lucky enough to find an available room in this B&B. Our room was tiny but very clean and in super condition. The host was very nice. Breakfast was very tasty.

We loved our stay at Monica's B&B! From the beginning, she was incredibly helpful via email with booking and details. We naively didn't realize that we should have booked tickets to the Skellig on a boat months in advance, thanks to the increased Star Wars publicity, but Monica came through for us and arranged passage on a boat only a... Our trip to Portmagee was due entirely to our enthusiastic 14 year-old grandson, who wanted to visit the island of Skellig Michael where the end of the latest Star Wars movie was filmed. My wife researched that extension of our trip to the islands of Inishbofin and Inishturk, and selected the Port Magee Heights B&B. She had corresponded with the... More

If you come all the way out to Portmagee to see the Skelligs, this is a lovely place to stay. (And when they say it is 600 meters away from the docks, Americans need to remember that 600 meters is longer than it seems!) The rooms are very comfortable, very quiet , & very pretty. We stayed in room 4,... More

The rooms were comfortable, relaxing, private, and had a great view. Breakfast was delicious! Monica was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She even stayed up late at night to see if she could get us on a sold-out trip to Skellig Michael. It worked! HIGHLY recommend.
