DO NOT believe a word the manager of Alexander suites says!! The photos on the website i the exact opposite to what you get!!! We are newly weds and came to Santorini for our honeymoon the second we got through the door our honeymoon was RUINED!! We paid 3 thousands euros for something that was completely different to the website!! We booked for the mare suite which is the most expensive one they have only to come to a room that looks DISGUSTING dirty and NOT Private the owner specifically said we will have a private Pool and private balcony, he gave us a room infront of the reception and no pool only a small jacuzzi facing the reception also which is NOT PRIVATE. Only 1 person speaks Greek/English. The phone wasn’t working, tv wasn’t working, the floors were filthy, not private what’s so ever, food was plain simple which you would expect more for paying 1 thousand per night!!! was not Covid safe, jacuzzi was dirty, the chairs were dirty the pillows were old and dirty the photos does not do it’s justice and he won’t give us our money back either No water provided in the fridge, no alcohol, no frappe, extremely and the opposite to what the photos online!! Please do not book here!!!’ Please!!!

The driver Costas who met us at the airport was so friendly. Petros the owner met up with us and carried our luggage to our room. We had a little patio with table and chairs with hot tub. The view was spectacular and having breakfast delivered every morning was a delight. Axis who delivered our breakfast was quiet but friendly. When we arrived we had bubbly in the fridge, water and fresh fruit. Petros was so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Made a few great recommendations for dinner. Was always available for questions and information. Very friendly. The room was cleaned daily and always had a wonderful smell. The cleaner (I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten her name) was cheerful and friendly. We booked this trip last minute from Italy and we were so glad we did. This island is beautiful and we could never get tired of our view. Loved our visit. Would definitely recommend.

We had limited time in Santorini 2 days and our flight got in late Petros was a fantastic host! Waited for us and got us situated despite getting in at 1 am. Gave us great recommendations of what to do and where to eat. Breakfast I. The morning with a beautiful view. Awesome clean accommodation. A little small room But we chose that!

We didn't get off to a great start with our honeymoon as we were sold a 'double room with sea view' with Onthe beach, only to be told by the hotel it was actually a 'maisonette' (which is still a double but not the 'superior double room mentioned on their website). The hotel were really good and tried to give us other options but we had to pay extra for all these (this was miscommunication on the websites' part). There are only a few rooms so if there is a specific one you want then I'd advise booking early. We had the maisonette - which I wouldn't recommend. It has balcony but it's on a busy walkway and people always having photoshoots outside the room, which block the view and people walking past are looking in so you don't get and privacy during breakfast or in the evening. There were times when it was so noisy with people outside that we had to go in the room to hear each other. Whilst I like the cave style at the top, the ceilings are very low and is a hassle going up and down the stairs. Also, the room layout isn't ideal as there is only natural light if you open the front door - again not ideal with do many people walking past. My advice would be to get one of the rooms either on the same level or above the reception. Not sure what numbers these are, but it's quiet, no one in your views and privacy. The room was a bit smelly as well. It does include a fridge, wardrobe, TV, and good shower. There is also body lotion, showergel, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast is nice and delivered to your balcony/terrace The filter coffee is better than the cappuccino! Only problem is you have to order the evening before but sometimes you don't know what time you will want it the next day. However, we found them quite flexible of we needed to change the time. Staff were super friendly and always offering to help. We ended up booking our own trips as they didn't fit what we were looking for. But they always offered to help. They arranged the transport to and from the airport (40 euros each way) and on the first night the porter even showed us around the village do we can find some food quite late. Even the cleaner was friendly! What was really nice was that they let us use a large bathroom to change and shower despite checking out earlier that day. We could also store our luggage, which all meant our last day was so relaxing!! We mentioned on our booking it was our honeymoon but received no greeting, note etc which is disappointing, but I think this is quite common in Santorini. Location is perfect. The best views (which is why everyone is outside!) And within easy reach of everything: 15 mins to Firastefani, 30 to Fira, 40 to Fits bus stop where you get the bus to everywhere very cheaply - better than taxi. There's also a bus stop in the village to Oia and Fira (it's easier just to walk to Fira though). It's also on the scenic path to Oia. Swimming pool has great views. Almost looks like an infinity pool and nice and quiet, despite just being a level above the main walk way. Only 5 loungers though and could only fit one of two people in the pool at a time, so wouldn't recommend if you want to be constantly round the pool as you may not always have a spot. We were out and about lots so never a problem apart from one morning when there was nowhere for my husband to sit. It's the location and staff that make this hotel. If we stayed in a different room then it would be five stars.

I had the chance to stay in Alexander Villas for 4 days. I picked to stay in the Suite with hot tube for two days which was so serene, kind of isolated and comfy. I really fall in love in the place and the view from my room’s window and the hot tube. The staff were really helpful, friendly and responsive in every way. I could not have dreamed of any better! I also had to switch to a regular room due to budget limits. The new room was small and had its double bed on another level with a very low ceiling and very steep stairs which was not easy to use.

We were very excited to book 'Alexander Villas' and according to the bio it was exactly what my daughter and i were looking for. Although the views and the weather was incredible, the standard of the rooms and facilities were extremely disappointing. It definitely needs some money spent on the upkeep and some of the finer details which would make the whole place even more special. Overall, Petros and his small team were very pleasant and helpful. Santorini is extremely expensive, so word of warning, do your research on car hire and excursions before you get there. Santorini Airport is a NIGHTMARE, extremely small and very very disorganized. It is such a shame because Santorini and the surrounding Islands are so beautiful and have so much to offer.

On a positive note the view from the balcony was beautiful, the outdoor pool is lovely and the hotel manager was accommodating. The room, however, was very basic and quite dated. We had spent several days prior to our arrival at the Alexander Villas at another hotel in Akrotiri which was luxurious and beautiful. It was very difficult to adjust to the accommodations offered by the Alexander, particularly given the fact that it was far more expensive than the other hotel. Each morning we were served breakfast on the balcony which would have been quite nice if the hotel’s housekeeper was not simultaneously cleaning the floors around us while breakfast was served. I am not opposed to the smell of strong cleaning solution, it would just have been preferable not to smell it while eating breakfast. Also upon arrival, I had to clean several dead flies out of the bathroom tub. The live ones flew away. The water on the island is not potable. The hotel did not provide bottled water (unlike the Akrotiri hotel which made sure we had plenty of bottled water at all times). We were able to buy water bottles at a local grocery store but had to remember to do so before turning in for the night. To end on a positive note, however, it was nice to be able to walk to Fira (a little more than a 1/2 hour), to hike to Skaros Rock (about 20 minutes) and we also were able to take the path to Oia (about a 2 hour hike).

According to my request and my voucher we had 2 x superior sea view with bed and breakfast. We had paid for that and that was what we were expecting ....According to your voucher we had volcano view , rooms 1 and 2. We were incredibly dissatisfied with these rooms and my attempt to rectify the situation fell on deaf ears, the staff and manager were not Interested. The rooms never had a sea view but instead had domed roofs in front of us which everyone walking past jumped onto to have the photograph taken. There was no privacy as these rooms were on the footpath. There was foot traffic continually. The rooms were less than satisfactory, beside the beautifully tile floor and gilded mirror. To list just a few things : no soap holder in the shower or at the basin, no towel rails, no shelf or cupboard to place your toiletries, the bathroom cupboard had the geyser in.No dustbin in the room just a rusty old dustbin in the bathroom that was minute.Nothing in the bar fridge, no tea and coffee facilities, no notepad and pen. The bed was also a challenge as it was on a mezzanine level with a treacherous staircase. You couldn’t stand up and literally crawled onto the bed.We are not particularly tall and we couldn’t stand up.My daughter refused to sleep on the mezzanine level as she had broken her arm in December falling off a bunk bed. I also understood that the rooms would have a private pool for the 2 rooms, when I asked the manager about that he said anyone could use any pool .... we eventually used the main pool and had our breakfast there too as there was absolutely no space for us to sit together as a family.Magnificent deck but no one in sight to help put the umbrellas up which were difficult to put up ourselves. The breakfast was also a huge disappointment, you tick what you would like off on a list and we got the opposite of what we ticked. It arrived 1/2 hour late on both days ... cold tea and coffee. There just seem to be no interest, care or customer service from anyone at the Alexander Villas. On our trip to Europe we stayed in 6 hotels all of the same calibre ... not sure how they get the rating or perhaps it’s just the View...
