Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Tholos was chosen as it appeared to offer everything we wanted at a comparatively good price. Its position is superb, overlooking Skaros rock. As with most hotels in the island, initially finding it can be interesting but you will soon find your way around. The room was fantastic and was cleaned to a high standard by Triamtafilia, with a great breakfast choice delivered to the room at a time of our choosing. Our room was furthest from path so we had to traverse another room's balcony. Not a huge issue but worth bearing in mind if you end up with a room closest to the path. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic and very attentive, they were all good, but especially Amma and George. They arranged taxis, transfers and a sunset cruise. Poolside was great, albeit be aware that the sunloungers can be taken up quickly., so if it's busy you may have to wait. Again all the staff were great, but we had more dealings with Prodromus who was fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.

Our family spent three nights at this hotel as part of our trip to Santorini. We were impressed by the location, views and hospitality of the resort.
The resort is situated on a hillside in Imerovigli with many other similar establishments. We were staying in a spacious room with a balcony and in vicinity of a small pool, which did not get to busy during our stay in August 2022.
The resort provided some of the toiletries and fresh towels. We had to choose/order breakfast on the previous day and the breakfast was served on our balcony so we could enjoy the wonderful views ( I have uploaded a few photos with views from the hotel and Imerovigli).
I think this resort was our favourite place to stay on Santorini, but it might not be for everyone. If you have problems with climbing steps, you might struggle to navigate your way to and from this and similar hotels in Imerovigli. Tholos resort had a porter to help us with heavy luggage, which was a real “lifesaver”.
Also this might not be an ideal property for visitors/families who are looking for a beach holiday, since the nearest beach is not within a walking distance.

Santorini has been on my bucket list for over 10 years and I finally visited in April 2022 with family and stayed for 6 nights. After checking reviews I booked Tholos resort. Tholos Resort is one of its kind! Breathtaking views and the most friendly staff. The moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles. We had two very stylish rooms, a balcony with magnificent views and our very own hot tub Jacuzzi in the balcony. We were then treated to welcome drinks! In the morning we had breakfast served in the balcony. The staff made a huge difference, they made us very comfortable and always there to help and guide on what to do on the island. They have an amazing restaurant by the pool with breathtaking sunset views. Every day as we come down from our rooms to the reception we were greeted with smiles, something we just can’t forget. I can’t wait to visit Santorini again and stay at none other than Tholos Resort. Thank you so much Anna and the team for making our visit so special.

very disappointed. breakfast is never on time, always in delays of half an hour up to an hour - never happened in other luxury hotels in santorini (if you have excursions or appointments it becomes a problem), with mistakes every time in the products inserted. At the pool bar restaurant, waiting time for a hamburger: 1 hour. unacceptable. The room is nice, great view, but the services are poor. last important news: I tried to postpone my vacation for an eye operation. after several reminders, they proposed to move to 2023 (in low season) with a further supplement of 400 eiro, showing little sensitivity to guests and to welcoming tourists. the only capable and good people are the cleaning ladies. last thing: hotel full of children, who jump, and no one enforces the ban. there is no relaxation.

Beautiful resort with incredible views and location. No need to fight the crowds to watch the sunset if you stay here! The breakfast was amazing! The room was unique and charming, but not the most practical. There were no shelves or drawers to store clothing, or hooks for towels, and the shower was wide open leaving you feeling exposed, but it was clean and we had a fridge, table and balcony. They brought bottled water daily as well! We arranged airport transportation service (which ended up costing more than quoted on both ways) so you might want to arrange your own, but it was awesome to have help with our luggage up and down the stairs. Overall highly recommend. Oh - and be sure to try the Gyros at “Let’s Eat” nearby.

We went there and took the “honey moon” room, out of season it was 190 euros! We say to ourselves “great, we’re taking advantage of it”! The room is beautiful, the view is beautiful but there is the roof of the bar in front, so the view is not complete, for a honeymoon forget it right away! customers and servers pass slightly below so no privacy at all! The jacuzzi is at the bottom of the terrace so no view at all!!! We asked to clean the jacuzzi to enjoy it, we were told that it was cold, we insisted, they cleaned but poorly, we were told that the temperature was limited to 27 degrees ah well in Naxos it was 40!!! so it was not possible to stay inside with the wind blowing. We say to ourselves we are going to take a bath in the Spa bath, no hot water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are told to run the water but nothing!! For a honeymoon forget it immediately!!! The next day, I complained to the manager but no refund, I was given the Boss's email! So doesn't deserve 4 stars at all!!!!!!

I stayed here with my family. We had two separate rooms, the rooms were great sizes, beds were very comfortable and the view made the holiday for me!
Breakfast in the morning is delivered to your room so you can soak in the view every morning! Sadly the weather was not so nice to us so we did have to see the view out of the window rather than from the balcony… They have a great variety of breakfast to pick from as well!
The people are so lovely and friendly, they are eager to help with anything and everything.
We had a hot tub on our balcony which was lovely and warm with the gorgeous view in sight. It was cleaned regularly as well (which is always good to know).
It is a 20 minute taxi ride to Oia and a 30 minute walk/ 10 minute drive to Fira, perfectly in the middle of both towns.
Overall, a really lovely hotel and we would 100% stay again!

Everyone from the staff to the service was amazing. Anything I needed was supplied. The staff helped with scheduling excursions. The bartenders and room servers were amazing. They were available at the drop of a dime. The location had the most beautiful view of the caldera. This location is central to the island. You are able to see the most beautiful sunsets from this location. One thing I did not like and was not aware of was the number of stairs at the resort as well as on the island. If you have issues walking, ensure you make the resort aware of any disabilities so you are placed in an appropriate room.

Amazing stay at Tholos resort. From start to finish the entire stay was just perfect. The room was unique as was like a cave setting, it could have been slightly bigger but was fine for 2 of us! Breakfast on the balcony every morning was amazing, the views were out of this world and there was lots of options for breakfast - bread, croissant, yoghurt, eggs (not full English / fry up). The pool area was perfect with amazing views, there was enough sunbeds for everyone and we never had any issues. The staff at the pool/ bar, Maria and George, were so friendly and helpful. Maria made amazing cocktails. Reception staff Anna & Dimitris we're both great and so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble! Overall wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

We have just had 6 days at Tholos Resort in Imerovigli and cannot praise it enough.
Our hotel room was beautiful, and the views were amazing. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast is served on your balcony each morning and you can watch the sunset from your room or the pool - both give amazing views.
Anna on reception was brilliant and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Yes, there are quite a few steps to navigate before you get to most of the rooms, the pool and the restaurant unfortunately. But from what we could see, this was the case with all of the hotels facing the caldera and it's a small price to pay for the views.
There are more places to choose from in the Imerovigli area.
