Absolute paradise. Beautiful views, very quiet, perfect to get away from it all. The hotel is set in the rocks, therefore, extremely hilly with lots of steps. Certainly not for the less mobile or for people with small children or babies requiring buggies. It’s well maintained, painting the white walls regularly as a touch up process. Very clean and well looked after. The staff are excellent and so helpful and polite - very keen to help. It’s B&B but there are lunch and dinner options. We were there for 14 nights and spent about £1,400.00 on meals and drinks. There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance. Whilst we stayed 14 nights we think 11 would have been perfect as the island is small. All rooms are individual. Ours room 6 is on two levels with a sofa, minibar and loo on one level, up steps to shower and wardrobe and up more steps to the bedroom. The pool is small and was very cold on entry, it’s shaded too. Our room didn’t have a pool or hot-tub but we didn’t feel we missed out. There was always plenty of space around the pool and pool bar as each room has their own loungers. We were there from 9 June and found it quite a busy island. Locals say it’s the best time to be there as July and August are very busy. As the streets are narrow around the island we would guess it would be quite chaotic walking and commuting. We were surprised at how windy it is, so if you go April - early June take a jacket or jumpers for evenings. Our advice would be to stay in Kamari and visit Oia. The sunset cruise is amazing. If you stay in Kamari or Persia you’ll find food significantly cheaper and that part of the island less busy. All in all - amazing holiday.

We have just got back from a week away in Santorini. When we arrived at the hotel, an employee from the hotel met us at the taxi and grabbed our luggage and carried it down the many steps to our room. On first view of our room, we though much smaller than the photos online. However, the views made up for it. After using the toilet a few times. We noticed when we flushed it, it kicked toilet water all over you and the floor. My partner informed reception, one of the receptionists asked had we put anything down the toilet which we hadn't. They said someone would come and look. The problem was still there so my partner complained again. Another receptionist advised they was aware of the issue with the toilet in room 17 and after him asking what can be done, they decided to move us rooms. GREAT 👍 The new room was a suite, loads of space, loads nicer and the toilet didn't throw dirty water at you. Only downside the shower leaked as the silicone had come away. That we could cope with. Clean water at least. The day of our departure I overheard an American couple speaking to the manager about their room. Room 17! They hadn't fixed the issue and then out someone else In that room and charged full price for it and not told them about the issue! Except for the toilet. The food was great 👍 The hotel staff lovely, location is amazing for views and only a 25min walk into Fira. I will say if you struggle to walk up hills or steps this isn't the place for you. Taxi from fira to imervigili is 15 euros roughly. Fira have a local bus station and its easy to get buses to perissa, oia and you pay on the bus. Quiet setting, pool is very small and loads of steps to the rooms. However it is a gorgeous hotel apart from the issues we had. I must say the receptionist with red hair was super helpful, sorted everything out and even checked up to see if we were happy. She was lovely.!

From the bar staff to the cleaners they were all so friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble… And probably the best reception staff we have ever encountered 10/10 they made us feel so welcome… Thanks Mark & Wendy 😎😎

Foreword: I have been a lot of places in the world, in order to tick them from my list. My girlfriend persuaded me to go here, as it wasnt on it, i reluctantly agreed, and it is the only place i've ever felt that i wanted to return to! Me and my girlfriend stayed 7th - 14th June 2022. Hotel : This hotel is incredible. The staff are amazing. "Im-air-oh-vee-glee" or imerovigli is the "honeymooners spot" as a local called it, quieter area, but within reach of the main capital (fira). We were greeted at reception by the manager, he took us to the room, showed us the view, and departed, did not even hover for a tip. The cases were already in the room by the time we got there again, the lads departed, no lingering. Complimentary local wine was given to us on arrival to enjoy the view. Room : And my god, what a view! we stayed in room 15,which is further down the cliffside just underneath the bar/decking area. The room was perfect, cave room, all amenities, smaller but perfect for a couple! Toilet and shower, seperated by frosted glass door into a sink and cupboard area with safe. then through an archway into the bedroom, and then onto the balcony which was big enough for a table, two chairs and 2 -3 deck loungers side by side and a small rockery. Cleaned daily, and SPOTLESS! the cleaners would even bring your bikinis into the room, to stop them bleaching in the sun, if they were dry. They'd leave extra water daily for you too! Breakfast : my god. Ive stayed in some outstanding hotels before, but this breakfast was the dogs danglies! omelletes, french toast, yoghurt and honey and walnuts, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, bread, toast, the lot! selected by form at reception or on the website (via QR code). Localities : firastefani - 5-10 mins away (downhill) - lots of restaurants, bars, and some gift shops. Fira (20 minutes away (downhill) - lots of restaurants, bars and thousands of gift shops and other places. Oia - 15 - 20 minutes away (by taxi/bus) or 2.5 hour walk. lots of shops and gift shops, incredibly busy at sunset. We caught a taxi (organised by the hotel) that took us to oia, for 33euro (pretty expensive) but we caught the bus back (timetable from reception) and it cost 1.6 euros. the buses are air conned national express type coaches! and regular! some every 10 minutes! or rent a quad or scooter! People : alot of americans and french visit the island (around 2 million) a year. But the locals cannot do enough for you, so incredibly polite, all with great english and knowledge of the area! ive not uploaded any photos, as there are loads on here for you to see already. But honestly, none of them do the view or the rooms, or the hotel justice the way only your eyes can by going to this hotel! this is a must visit gem of imerovigli.

We stayed at on the rocks in Santorini 8-13th June and it was absolutely gorgeous. We arrived and were greeted by staff, that immediately took out suitcases and brought them to the reception and then showed us our room. We stayed in room 19 which is at the top and just above the reception. The view was incredible!!! I have uploaded images of the view with this review. We were speechless! Staff brought complimentary white wine which was a wonderful gesture. The hotel is so clean, tidy, staff are friendly and work so hard! The breakfast is fabulous and you can either fill out online by scanning a QR code or by paper and there is lots of choices, omelette, banana bread, cereals, fruits, yogurt, croissants etc. We chose to eat breakfast on the balcony every morning and you can choose the time slot for breakfast to arrive, you can choose to eat by the bar by the pool too and the view is equally as gorgeous as it is from the rooms. We had bath robes, slippers, hairdryer, toiletries, fresh towels every day, mini bar etc, everything you could want/need. Iron available in reception but we packed our own anyway - just incase you wondered what to bring. The hotel itself is in a quieter area of Santorini as Fira and Oia can be pretty busy to stay in and most tourists flock there. Great to visit those towns but we were happy to stay just outside of the busy areas, there’s a beautiful coast walk from the hotel to Fira which we did 2/4 days there and it takes 20 mins each way, the views on the walk are out of this world and you pass some really beautiful restaurants like Gingers sushi (which is a must btw) highly recommend the volcanic rock cooked teriyaki beef…just wow!! Again I’ve attached an image if you fancy it. It’s a really quiet area on the night but still plenty of bars and restaurants to visit so you’re not isolated at all! Quad bikes are available 2 mins from the hotel and again staff are super friendly and helpful. We paid €60 for the day and €10 for fuel and it was worth it as Oia is 10km from on the rocks so a long walk really. Location 10/10 Food 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Only issue if I can call it an issue at all, is that our balcony had a side door which staff used to access their supplies cupboard I think? But you have to expect with Santorini, that with everything being on a hill, they have to have access to stores on most levels as it’s a lot to cart around to clean the rooms etc, really wasn’t an issue, just a heads up. We recommend with confidence and already have recommended to friends and family. Thank you so much to ALL the staff at on the rocks for making our stay to special and we cannot wait to return!!

I have just returned from 4 nights at this hotel and I can't fault it . We had room 7 which had amazing views . Loved having breakfast delivered Every morning to our balcony All the staff we came into contact with were really helpful and friendly Santorini is stunning and has to be seen to be believed It is expensive though so bring plenty of spending money There are some nice restaurants nearby and I also managed to walk into fira and back which at 7 months pregnant was no mean feat .

The Staff were excellent and the location very good with great views over the bay. It’s an easy walk to Thira if your reasonably fit and there are a few facilities locally. The reasons for the low score are primarily the rooms decor which was fairly rustic and effectively on a street passage which did make it a little noisy. The wi fi reception indoors was poor, although it worked ok outside. The bar/ pool area was down several flights of stairs which could present some interesting problems if you imbibed to much on an evening!

The hotel is quite quirky with much of the accommodation built into the cliff to an amazing effect. The breakfast served to the rooms or bar area was excellent and the views from all the rooms was amazing. The location sitting between Thera and Oia was ideal and the 2 hour walk from Imerovigli to Oia was hilly but fabulous What made the stay special were the staff, from cleaners to managers, who were wonderful and could not have been more helpful and friendly.

We arrived for a 2 night stay in between our stay in Perissa . We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade from a superior double to a suite . We literally couldn’t fault anything about this hotel . Every member of staff goes out of their way to help you . Breakfast served on our terrace both mornings was absolutely brilliant . Maria in the spa was a delight and we both thoroughly enjoyed our massages . The views were out of this world and in an ideal position to walk to Fira or catch the bus to Oie We hope to return at some in the future and thanks to everyone for an amazing stay 😊
