My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Sunny Villas for our honeymoon and we were absolutely blown away by how professional and beautiful this hotel was! Timmy, Alex, and Erees ( hopefully I am spelling this right) were extremely accommodating in every way! The hotel arranged an airport transfer for us before we even got to Santorini and even carried our bags down all the stairs to the room. We stayed in the Executive Honeymoon Suite and I could not recommend it enough to stay in this room. You get a beautiful private sunset view in a hot tub that is literally on the cliffside of Imerovigli. Unlike a lot of sunset-view hotel rooms in Santorini, this one is ACTUALLY private and is not obstructed by the main footpath and hundreds of people walking by. Being in this village of Imerovigli is also recommended if you are looking for a quieter stay in Santorini. The hotel is a short distance to the "main" area of the village with small supermarkets and fast food places for souvlaki ( try Let's Eat! it was delicious) Oia and Fira were beautiful although they were always crowded - and we went at the beginning of the off-season! Breakfast is delivered quickly and is a good value for a continental - I could not get enough of the yogurt and honey! The staff is very attentive and will help you with any request you have: - Our hot tub stopped working and they sent someone to fix it the same day it was fixed - We had changes in reservations for dinner and they called the restaurants and arranged everything - They had recommendations for different towns and excursions to do which was a great help We did not want to leave because it was so good! You will be in good hands staying here. Huge thanks to the entire team for the most incredible hotel experience we have ever had!…
First of all, hotel staff is really nice, when we was waiting room check in, they explained and recomemded restaurant, landmark, museum and direction. This is very good for us at first time be there. The view is beautiful. I will recommend to stay a one day for sunset, cause it is very beautiful. For my opinion, the sunset is better than Oia. The room is very clean. Breakfast is very delicious. We love this hotel.
I don’t know that we have EVER been treated so hospitably as here at Sunny Villas. We have been here 5 days and there is not one thing I would want done differently. Irini and Jimmy at the front desk were a wealth of knowledge and advice. When our ferry was canceled due to weather, they found space for us for an extra nights. A delicious breakfast of fresh bread, fruit, eggs, yogurt, cheese, meat and coffee/tea was brought to our patio every morning by an ever smiling man whose name sadly I forgot to ask. He kindly schlupped luggage and breakfast up and down the myriad stairs and always had a smile on his face while doing it. Thank you all so very much for making our stay on Santorini and absolute delight!!
Traditional cave rooms/suites/apartments. We were in a cave suite with a sitting area, a “lofted” bedroom, a sink and fridge area, and a private patio overlooking the small hotel pool and the caldera, just above Skaros rock. Stunning views. No need to fight the crowds in Oía or anywhere else at sunset. We had takeout (from Let’s Eat – fantastic gyros, souvlaki and salad) and a bottle of Assyrtiko and some Graviera cheese from the nearby grocery store on our patio one night. Perfection. Our room and the common areas were immaculate. Some rooms/suites/apartments have private hot tubs/pools. The hotel pool was very nice, with funky beanbag sunbeds, and there was never more than us and one other couple there every day. The loveliest staff! Irini, Andreas, and Timmy could not have been more patient and accommodating with us first-timers. We encountered a couple of travel snags while there, and they helped us handle them so graciously. Really good people. And they made all the best recommendations. Pro-tip – don’t just ask them where to go, ask them where NOT to go. Very reasonable rates, especially compared to other similar hotels. Breakfast is included, very nice, and brought to your patio/room by the hardest working guy in Santorini, on request. I can’t imagine a more hospitable and relaxing experience in Santorini. Our compliments and gratitude to the the staff! Highly recommend Hotel Sunny Villas!…
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Sunny Villas. It was wonderful relaxing by the pool and enjoying a nice cocktail. The staff at Hotel Sunny Villas were very helpful and we are very grateful for all their help in organising things for us. Highly recommend
I hate to give this hotel 4* not 5, but some small tweaks could make it 5*! The positives - all of the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. - The views were amazing - real authentic cave rooms - rooms were very clean Negatives - - Breakfast was very basic, especially on our 2nd day. Simply adding some pastries and more fruits would add to tis breakfast. - Rooms missing things like hooks for towels and shelves. Both of these could be discreetly added without taking away from the design of the room. - air-conditioning was not that effective due to large rooms and small unit. This hotel is definitely worth a stay if you are looking for an authentic cave hotel in imerivgoli (which is a beautiful place!!) I hope they make the few small tweaks to the rooms to make it 5*! …
Had to write this review at the airport as we have been so impressed with Hotel Sunny Villas. They arranged transfers for us and met us from the taxi on arrival. One of the guys took our bags to our room and the lovely host went through everything we could need. We had a suite without a pool (most seem to have them) but this meant we had the main pool pretty much to ourselves every day. Alex at the pool bar was lovely; very friendly and happy to help. The guy who delivered breakfast whenever we wanted it was also very nice. The whole team couldn’t do enough for us, I’m so pleased I chose this hotel. The location was also perfect; quiet but walkable to Fira. Clean towels and bed made every day, a view to die for and exceptionally clean. Highly rate this idyllic hotel
Sunny Villas was perfection in every way. From the moment we arrived, picked up at the airport, our bags carried down to our rooms, we were met with phenomenal service and the best views. Timmy was so kind checking us in, giving us excellent recommendations, and helping us book a boat tour. The views from our room were 10/10 with truly the best sunset views on the island. We found ourselves leaving dinner before sunset to watch it from our balcony because the views could not be beat. Breakfast was delicious, extremely generous portions and delivered to our balcony each morning. The pool was refreshing, with convenient poolside drinks. Truly a magical stay with such amazing service and the best location. We will be coming back.
Sunny Villas exceeded our expectations. A beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of the caldera. Perched on the highest point in Santorini, in the beautiful little town (village?) of Imerovigli, this hotel was perfect for our stay. We weren't sure why people flocked to Oia, because our room/balcony had the BEST sunset and we had no desire to be anywhere else to watch it. Honestly, the view is to die for! Great location with plenty of amazing restaurants around with easy access. We recommend "Mama Lena" - maybe like a 5 min walk from the hotel toward town. The walk to Fira is about 30 mins from here. We are a family of 3 (parents with 10 year old) and we stayed in one of the Honeymoon (cave) Suites with an outdoor jacuzzi for 5 days/4 nights here in early June. On arrival, we were met by one of the staff (a young guy by the name of Ercy - I hope I have the spelling right) by the road in town and he carried our luggage all the way to the hotel - this includes a bit of a walk and quite a bit of steps. He managed it with such ease, that we were quite impressed. Timmy was the person who checked us in. He was super nice, helpful and friendly. He gave us a map and pointed out some places of interest to see/visit, recommended some restaurants to eat at and activities we could do. He then showed us to our suite. Throughout our stay, he was very helpful and would happily answer any questions. Our suite was just perfect! Very clean, beautiful, with a minimalistic approach and very spacious. We had a living space with a tv, couch, a little kitchenette, apart from the bedroom and bathroom. The nice ladies cleaned it every day and made sure we had enough fresh towels. Our balcony with the jacuzzi opened to the "path" (the one that people walked from Oia to Fira). So during high traffic time (mostly early mornings and late evenings) there are a lot of people walking through. It didn't bother us at all, some would just walk right by without looking, others would look at us, nod, smile or say hello, and others would openly comment on what a great view we had. We hung out in the balcony enjoying our breakfast in the mornings, or some wine in the evenings and time in the jacuzzi in the afternoons. There were curtains you could use to cover/close for privacy (see in pics). We hardly used them. The pool was great with the same magnificent views as all the rooms. It's not too big, but it was hardly ever crowded. Most times, it was just us in the pool during the afternoons. Timmy and Ercy worked the pool bar when we were there. They provided a lovely continental breakfast to the rooms every morning between 8:30 - 10:30. It was a great way to start the day, having some coffee watching the beautiful view. Did I mention that the view is extraordinary, yet? When it comes to staff, there is nothing but good things to say about them. They are all super nice, friendly, helpful and wants to make sure you are having the perfect time. Irene was one of the other staff members we met who was really nice. We did not get the name of the other gentleman there. He helped us book a sunset wine tour and tasting at Santos Winery. And at our request, scheduled a cab as well for us to get there and back. Ercy (during our stay) seemed to be the "Jack of all trades" there (as Timmy mentioned, they were short staffed at the time). He was honestly the most hard working young fella we have ever seen. He did everything, from carrying luggage (up and down the many stairs) to bringing breakfast trays to the rooms every morning, running the pool area/ bar, checking and maintaining the Jacuzzi's in all the rooms and so much more. He did all this with the biggest smile on his face always. He did not speak much English, but he was very friendly and tried his best to communicate and help out. We made sure to give him a good tip for all his hard work. Overall, our stay at Sunny Villas was nothing short of perfection. We would recommend them without a doubt and would surely stay here again should we return to Santorini.…
I was a little concerned when I saw all the stairs down to our suite, but the worries all melted away when we sat the suite and the view. Heaven! Irini and her team keeps customer service in mind every step of the way. They are their to answer all questions. I miss the breakfast with that amazing view of Skarros Rock. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
