We stayed at the Iconic Santorini in May 2023. It was an excellent experience. The location is stunning - the hotel hangs from the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Every room had amazing views. The hotel is also spotless, with an extremely high level of maintenance. The furnishings are thoughtful and first class. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was excellent every morning. Extremely pleased with the stay.

My husband and I have just returned from a 5 day trip to Santorini to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have always wanted to visit this island and did lots of research about where to stay. The Iconic was absolutely superb and we could not have asked for anything more. The view from every part of the hotel is breathtaking, the rooms and facilities are immaculate, and the staff cannot do enough to help. Absolutely one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Thank you for helping to make my birthday one I shall never forget.

Santorini is renowned for its stunning sunsets, breathtaking views, and enchanting white-washed architecture and my wife and I love to visit. There is no better place than the iconic hotel. Nestled on the picturesque cliffs of this Greek paradise the Iconic is the essence of luxury and elegance. From the moment we stepped foot into this amazing establishment, we were captivated by its beauty, its unparalleled charm and amazing staff. The hotel's design perfectly complemented the island's natural beauty, evoking a sense of tranquility and serenity. Upon entering, we were greeted by a warm and attentive staff that made me feel very welcome and special as a guest. Their genuine hospitality and personalized service set the tone for the rest of my stay. The reception area, adorned with local artwork and tasteful decor, exuded an air of sophistication while still embracing the island's rustic charm. Marielena, Aphrodite, Gannis, Georgia, Curistos, are a great team. Thank you as always. Our room, a haven of opulence, showcased impeccable attention to detail. The minimalist design, adorned with touches of local craftsmanship, created an ambiance of modern elegance. The private balcony, offering panoramic views of the caldera became our sanctuary. Each morning, we woke up to the breathtaking sight of the sun ascending over the horizon—an experience that will forever be etched in our memory. We had the two signature breakfasts to share each morning. The kitchen team masterfully crafted a menu that celebrated Santorini's finest ingredients, expertly fusing traditional Greek flavors with innovative techniques. Thank you Petros, Enes and Andreas for your welcome, great service and great fun. The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. The infinity pool, seemingly merging with the Mediterranean expanse, provided an oasis of relaxation. Lounging on the sunbeds, sipping on refreshing cocktails, and being caressed by the gentle sea breeze, was perfect to unwind. The poolside bar offered a diverse selection of drinks and delectable snacks. Beyond the luxurious accommodations and exceptional amenities, it was the hotel's location that truly set it apart. Situated in one of Santorini's most coveted spots, we were steps away from the vibrant town center and its labyrinthine streets lined with charming boutiques, tavernas, and art galleries. Our stay at this iconic hotel was an experience beyond compare. Every aspect, from the hotel's aesthetic allure to its unparalleled service, was perfect. The memories I created and the emotions I felt during my time here will forever be etched in my heart. If you seek a truly remarkable and unforgettable stay in Santorini, this iconic hotel is undoubtedly the place to be. This was our second time to visit and will book for a third.

This was the perfect place for our 3-day stay in Santorini. We booked directly with the hotel (through their website), and were able to get a package that included transportation from the airport, to the port, breakfast, and a dinner at Pergola. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming - porters who carried luggage down 90 steps to our room, receptionists who provided dinner recommendations and other suggestions for getting the most out of our stay, cleaning staff, .... The room was well organized and well furnished, and clean. The bed was comfortable. The patio with lounge chairs was nice - particularly after they were in the sun. The views are stunning, and got better each day as we learned more about Santorini and saw more of the island(s) from different perspectives. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stayed in a Cave Suite for a week in April. Our review is as follows: ROOM - lovely and spacious with 2 bathrooms. I was worried it would feel a bit dark but it was more beautiful and light in the flesh than the pictures gave the impression. Beware that the steps down to the 2nd lower bathroom are a little tricky if you have any mobility issues. - I found the pillows hard. However, we were immediately supplied with additional soft pillows when we enquired after a pillows service. We were also supplied with additional blankets as I found the duvet too warm for the time of year - it felt like a 12 tog. The only minor feedback I would give to the hotel is that it would be helpful if additional bed spreads and blankets could be supplied in a larger size so that they cover the entire bed as the ones supplied didn’t really cover two people in a bed - the terrace, views and hot tub for the Cave suite were absolutely lovely. Some suites feel more private than others and the Cave suite was one of those as it was tucked into a corner and therefore your neighbours didn’t need to pass your sunbed to gain access to their own suite. We also noticed walking around that not all hotels feel as private as the Iconic Santorini, especially if they are near the main tourist paths. DINING - Breakfast is served on your terrace. The time of year, the location of your room and the time at which you have breakfast will impact whether you get sun on your terrace. We didn’t have sun on our terrace until about 11am in April. You fill out a menu card the night before and pick a time slot. The food was extremely tasty, although in April it was sometimes chilly eating outside. A cloche would have been helpful to cover hot food and a teapot to keep tea warm. We found that our drinks and food cooled down too quickly outside at this time of year. There is an option for you to dine on the dining terrace but our understanding was that you still had to order your food and pick your time slot the night before. I would have liked to have had the choice to be able to turn up to breakfast in a restaurant when I want, pick my food on the morning and be able to wave down a waiter when I want an extra cup of coffee. Filling out forms and picking time slots does still feel a little like we are still living in covid rules. - we had the dinner at the hotel restaurant on the first night. The food was very nice. There is a small room that has about 4 tables at the swimming pool level. On the night we had a table booked it was very windy and cold outside and not really suitable to eat out. I think the hotel could have pre-empted this and had some tables set up in the room as it wasn’t very inviting, despite the beautiful chandelier. There were 4 tables squashed into a small area - some with far too many chairs around them. One of the waiters had left a tray on a table and was charging his phone. The room would have looked so much nicer if someone had just put some candles on the tables, maybe had some wine glasses and place settings and also removed some of the clutter. We had a very lovely meal though and I liked the fact you could see the chefs at work. SERVICE - this is where the hotel really excelled. All of staff we came into contact with were extremely warm and friendly. They were extremely helpful at suggesting restaurants and booking excursions. We liked the little treats we found in our room at the end of each day and the bottle of wine we received on arrival and departure. There was fresh ice and water supplied free twice a day. EXCURSIONS - we would thoroughly recommend walking to Oia. We walked there and back 3 times. It takes about 4- 5 hours as a round trip depending on whether you walk to the far end of Oia. The views on the walk are amazing. Just make sure you take some comfortable trainers with a good grip. The walk is not suitable for sandles and flip flops. - we would also recommend the wine tours that can be arranged through the hotel. We did the one with Greek food and ate out in Oia.

We absolutely adored our stay at Iconic! The staff is among the most gracious I have ever encountered. Everyone was genuine, warm and helpful-it was very apparent that our happiness and comfort as their guests were of the upmost importance. They really go above and beyond. The views from the rooms or anywhere on the property are stunning, with unobstructed views of the caldera and beautiful sunsets. Every morning a delicious breakfast is delivered to your private balcony-you fill out the menu card the day before and the choices are bountiful. The French toast was scrumptious! Even on the one morning it was super windy a lovely man came to deliver our breakfast just the same (we ate it inside our spacious room) and he was so concerned because the wind had slightly shifted an item on the plate and he was so worried about the presentation. Yes they care that much! The beds were super comfortable, lovely bathrooms and amenities, most rooms have private indoor or outdoor plunge pools ( some have both!) We stayed in the honeymoon suite the first night and then for the last two nights we had a choice between the Cave and the Cliff suite -we chose the Cave Suite because it had less stairs and the bigger balcony-the Cliff Suite had a little more privacy and both indoor and outdoor private pools. But really, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the rooms here. We highly recommend this place, and are grateful to the Iconic and all its staff for helping make our time in Santorini such a happy one.
