We stayed here for 2 nights for our honeymoon/babymoon. The hotel has so much charm with lovely antique furniture pieces, paintings done by the owner (sadly not for sale!), and amazing views! The rooms are each different & in my opinion so much nicer than the rooms on offer at other hotels that all look identical. When you walk through Imerovigli you will notice that many of the more expensive hotels have pools and hotel room decks that look right onto the walking path, not very private. However, Heliotopos was very private, but still situated so centrally with a Caldera view! It is very reasonably priced for what you get! The hotel has a family personal feeling because the staff are so kind. Joseph was a lovely host who was always available to help us with recommendations/bookings/taxis. The breakfast was homemade by a lovely lady & always delicious - simple very good Greek food! Loved the leek and eggplant pies! Fresh fruit and yogurt, homemade cakes & pastry, omelette/eggs, salad. Great coffee and fresh OJ each morning! The hotel is small so you can often have the pool to yourself (although we were there early June, quieter than later in the season). Imerovigli itself feels much more quaint and charming and peaceful than Fira and Oia which are more touristy. We loved staying here. The rooms/bathrooms could be better ventilated for steam/humidity, that’s my only small complaint, but I suspect this is an issue in all Santorini buildings! I’d still give it 5stars and stay there again.…
We stayed in Heliotopos during our honeymoon and it was an incredible experience. The views over the Caldera are breathtaking and Hope and the team coud not have been more attentive! I would definitely recommend staying here in Imerovigli for the views and the more calm atmosphere vs Oia or Fira. Hope helped us organise easy transfers to the hotel and an amazing half day boat trip where we were picked up and dropped off at the hotel. We would love to come back one day
Perfect stay with amazing Caldera views on a perfect island. The room was decent enough for our family of 2 adults 1 kid. Our room had a balcony with stunning caldera views. The food at wine bar was good while the ambience of the wine bar was just too dramatic..Nice and cosy. Joseph at the front desk was helpful right from the beginning. He even helped us plan our outings as we stayed here for almost a week. He suggested places to visit based on the weather each day. Clementini at the restaurant made some on demand breakfast for my little one. Overall quite a satisfying experience. Highly recommended.
We were staying up the road from here and found the wine bar, which we enjoyed most nights during our week's holiday! Joseph looked after us and the wine and beer was delicious. Highly recommended *******
This was everything and more that I expected on our recent visit to Santorini. From the minute we walked through the door, we were greeted by the most lovely lady who was so warm and welcoming, she checked us in and then walked us to our room and went over our darling accommodations. The room was super cute, clean and very well appointed and the views were spectacular. We chose to dine in the restaurant that was in a cave, we had the most wonderful service, great food and drinks our waiter asked us about our plans for the following day and made some great suggestions and told us he would be working the front desk in the morning and would make sure what ever we needed for our sight seeing was taken care of. The following morning we had a lovely breakfast in the cave along with even more Wonderfull service. The nice gentleman who was our waiter the night before asked us about our plans for the day, gave us some suggestions and ordered us a rental car and had it delivered to the hotel and he made sure we were well taken care of. Our accommodations were not Ritz Carlton however they were cute, clean, well appointed and very much what we expected for Santorini. The service level of everyone we came into contact with including the lovely lady from Advance Rental car were so wonderful it made our stay five star.…
Awesome experience. From the welcome by Joseph to the wonderful well appointed homely room. The view is spectacular. Breakfast was lovely and very satisfying too. As I said, the room was homely and a bit rustic, but exactly what we were looking for. The service was exceptional at every turn. The wine bar and restaurant was awesome and the food was so good. Especially the Fava beans and their bread. Their pizzas were fantastic as well. We loved our time here and would highly recommend the hotel to all.
The excellent view to the caldera. The excellent sunset view. The excellent staff. The excellent breakfest. The excellent cleaning Service. The standard of the room on the medium level. The quality of the bed very poor. Sometimes smell of the sewage water - unfortnatelly during sunset.
Very well located in Imerovigli. The place is clean, beds are comfortable breakfast is top - the view is really good. And the Greek hospitality is no legend - Joseph was up to our every need. Would definitely go back
Perfect location over looking the Aegean Sea. Exceptionally clean & well maintained beautiful facility. The staff and service are excellent all the bags & meals as you desire are delivered to your suites. The food & bar services are equally wonderful you will not be disappointed. They arranged afternoon sailing, swimming sunset dinner cruise. Guided tour of the ancient city excavated site which was outstanding. Winery tour is a must especially their unique Gatos & desert wine. Many Restraunt’s & shopping within walking distances of 30-45 min. They arranged transportation as needed for more distant sights. You will never tire of the view & sunsets & morning Dawn’s.
Spent a lovely 4 days here. The team were excellent and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect. Eleni and Joseph especially made us feel so welcome and their customer service ethos is superb. Add to that, we had a large suite with amazing views of the caldera and the sunsets. What’s not to like! Chris and Carol
