Stayed for 5 nights in a combo of yellow and pink room. Hotel is a gem amongst the dozens of hotels both large and small along the caldera in Imerovigli. There is no restaurant or bar but you do not need these things, there are plenty of options a stone’s throw away. Room was a good size and well decorated with a good bed. View particularly from pink room front sitting area was…sublime. The sitting area around the pool was excellent with good views towards the sea and the infinity pool was very comfortable. Almost never had to share either. Staff was charming, both the two gentlemen who rotated at the reception and the maids who prepared daily breakfast and cleaned rooms. The recommendations for activities and restaurant were all perfect. I highly recommend this hotel; truthfully there is an option for everyone’s budget and this place falls right in the middle of the extremely broad price ranges. For what we paid, I couldn’t have imagined a more relaxing and welcoming stay.

Where do I start with my review Senses Boutique Hotel(Airbnb) Bear in mind that this review would be very short if I only wrote about the great accommodations, but Thomas and his staff are what made this visit unforgettable. Getting from the airport is a very short ride, about 15 minutes. Actually, finding it was much more difficult since Imerovigli is just a very long cliff of villas that are all painted white. We arrived very early from Athens and made to the villa by 8am after 2 unsuccessful attempts to find it with our transfer driver. When we arrived the staff was just serving morning breakfast and the manager(Thomas) had not arrived yet. We set our bags in the small office and sat up by the pool area enjoying the breathtaking view. Thomas arrived around 9am and came up and introduced himself to us and offered us water and towels. We asked a few questions about the “boutique hotel” which is made up of eight different room/suites all attached to each other and connected by staircases. We knew that check in was not until 3pm but our plans were just to relax for three days and literally do NOTHING. That very quickly change when Thomas arrived because he said, “You can do NOTHING anywhere in the world…you are in Santorini and you need to do everything.” With that, our entire vacation then took on a life of it’s own. Prior to the trip, we booked one private 6 hour tour of the island and that was it. Thomas started with the recommendation of renting a car to see entire island and within 20 minutes our rental car company dropped off a car for 40 euro per day. Thomas gave me a very simple map of Santorini, a magnificent crescent shaped moon and listed on there the places that we should visit. Our room was ready a couple of hours early and we dropped out luggage. The room could not have been more perfect with out little private cave pool/hot tub. The suite itself is tastefully decorated with a small living room, bedroom, beautiful bathroom and two TV’s and a small refrigerator. We then set off to Perissa beach area(the Black Beach). He recommended a restaurant along the beach Savvass Popeye and upon finding it realized that it was going to be a spectacular lunch. Santorini is very well known for its white wines, so we ordered a bottle that our hostess recommended. Thomas also said to make sure to get fish. Looking at the menu I wanted my first authentic Greek salad which I then continued to order at every meal for the rest of the trip. We asked what the “fish of the day” was and the manager said “Go look”, so we starting walking where she was pointing and I thought she was sending me by the bathrooms..she then came over and opened up a refrigerator with eight different drawers and 10 different kinds of freshly caught fish on ice. She described each one and the told us to choose which one we wanted. Ten minutes late the perfect grilled fish appeared on our table. Spectacular first meal in Santorini. We made our way back to the villa and we were really hot because the AC was not working in our car. When we got back we told Thomas what an amazing lunch we had and he was so happy that we did. We sat in our private cave and finished out bottle of wine while watching the cruise ships arrive and depart below. After the sunset, which you can not actually see from the villa, we walked about 100 yards away to a small market and take out restaurant and got some kebabs and a gyro which was the perfect Greek dinner, and of course a Greek salad. Our first day in Santorini came to and end and we were so happy that we picked Senses Boutique Hotel. The second day we awoke to another beautiful day on the Caldera and my girlfriend had planned a photo shoot that afternoon so we knew that we had to be back to the villa by 230. The breakfast that was served on our private veranda was unbelievable. Omelets, two kinds of bread, a a large bowl of fruit, pastries, juices, milk and yogurt with fruit and of course coffee all delivered to our doorstep and whatever time we chose. Thomas also went ahead and called the car rental company to tell them that the air conditioning was not working and they delivered a new car. We decided to go the beach for a few hours, and he recommended “Seaside Beach” which happened to be right across the street from Savvass Popeye. The king size sun beds were perfect and for 55 Euro we were a few rows from the sea and it included towels, water, and two glasses of prosecco. We also order a bottle of wine and they brought us cantaloupe and prosciutto. We were disappointed that we could not stay there longer because we had to get back to meet the photographer. Upon our return, once again greeted by Thomas asking about our day. He the suggested that the next day we go out on a catamaran to see “heaven on earth” from the sea. We agreed and said that we wanted to see the sunset and take the afternoon catamaran, but he changed our mind and said he would tell where to see it from dinner. When the photographer arrived he went to the office and Thomas came and got us at the room and told us that he was here. The photo shoot was amazing as we walked all the way to the end of the caldera and did photographs all along the way. When we got back we were exhausted from walking all the steps. Once again ordered dinner from the small market behind the hotel and set out and watched the views once again. The next morning, we were greeted again by our spectacular breakfast. The car picked us up right on time and then picked up several other people all along the way to get to the harbor. The catamaran ride was amazing seeing everything from a different vantage point. We stopped and swam and then had an awesome barbecue lunch on the boat of all Greek specialties. Everyone got on the boat to strangers and left as friends. When we got back to the hotel Thomas told us that he would meet us around 6 o’clock and walk us to the restaurant. It was about a 15 minute walk along the Caldera then two elevators down to a magnificent hotel and restaurant called Andromeda. He spoke to the hostess and got a table right next to the window. The food was amazing as s the wine and we watched the sunset over the Aegean Sea. Make sure that you wear comfortable shoes because you will do a lot of walking when you are staying in Santorini. We knew that we were checking out the next morning so we booked an afternoon tour with a private driver that would eventually drop us off at the airport for our return trip to Athens. The next morning, we woke to our last breakfast on our private veranda. We saw Thomas and told him that we were checking out around 11 and he made sure to come down and help us with our bags. This was the part that made the trip so special. Talking to Thomas we told him how beautiful the Andromeda hotel was and that next time we come we might stay there because the views are just a little more spectacular. And this is what Thomas said “you can say the Andromeda it is certainly beautiful. They have over 100 rooms along the mountain side with very beautiful views, but no one there will know your name you will only be another guest that comes in. The reason why we are so successful is because we treat our guests like family”. As we started to bring our suitcases out the door Thomas was up three levels mopping the floors and saw us and ran down to help with our bags. He walked us down to the pick-up point and make sure that the driver had arrived to get us. They were probably many other other things that I left out about Senses Boutique Hotel but hopefully this will give you a flavor what it was like to stay there.

We were given room number 3 and from the first night of our stay, there were big issues with the loud noise coming from the jacuzzi in the room above us. On a a positive note the breakfast was very good.

I had originally booked a stay at the Agave, but there was an issue and they moved my booking to Senses. We called it a happy accident because the room that they booked for us was amazing, the staff was great, breakfast every morning that was delicious, and as always the view was magnificent. We stayed for two days and explored the island on a 4-wheeler rented in Firo and I would recommend this place to anyone.

The location is fantastic right on the walking path to Fira or Oia. The rooms are clean and the views incredible. The breakfasts are amazing - brought to our room with more deliciousness than you can eat. Nothing but goodness.

We stayed at Senses Boutique Hotel for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon getaway. It was booked very last minute with just a week to go before our trip. We chose the green room which was clean and spacious. It had all the amenities we needed. It was on the top floor so it had the best views. We chose it because it had a hot tub. However it wasn't hot, and fluctuated with the outside temperature. Unfortunately it was too cold for us to enjoy as we had desired. The hotel staff said changing the temperature was not possible. Cons: be prepared to climb steps to get there. The main hotel pool is cold. Because of the lockdown breakfast was delivered to our room each morning which we ate on the balcony. Despite telling them we were vegetarian, we recieved meat in our breakfast on two occassions. It would have also been nice to have some variety in the breakast each day rather than the same thing for 5 days i.e. the eggs could have been changed up i.e. scrambled, boiled, omlette. Vagellis was very helpful and kind, however he wasnt always at the hotel and the maid didnt understand english. We had a phone number to whatsapp him but he was slow to respond on most occassions. We arrived during partial lockdown so all restaurants and bars were closed. It would have been nice for the hotel to be prepared with more takeaway options. The hotel is a short walk from fira on a single path, so went there to pick up leaflets for takeaways and deliveries ourselves. The bed was large and comfortable. We chose to hire our own car and self drive for 5 days, which worked out cheaper than the airport transfers. Parking in imerovigli is free and plenty (albeit we went in low season), so it was handy to have a car to do day trips to oia, the beaches etc. Despite all the pros and cons, it was overall a great place to stay in imerovigli.

This hotel is gorgeous! Senses is located in Imerovigli which is a gorgeous town not like the touristy towns of Oia and Fira. Senses outdoor area has gorgeous sun loungers at different heights which gives privacy and gorgeous little areas to sit. The hotel is located beside two great restaurants Angoi and Aegean, a few supermarkets ( get your iced coffees in Jimmys supermarkets ). The town also has car and quad rentals, A pharmacy, a bar and a bus stop - what more do you need ? . It is peaceful and the maids are really nice. The bed is comfy and the room was a lovely shade of blue to match Santorini!! The breakfast basket was very cute and we had a lovely private terrace to enjoy it on - the freshly squeezed orange juice is amazing !!
