This was a holiday of our dreams to visit this wonderful island and he wasn’t disappointed. All the management and staff were fantastic and the resort views wonderful. My only disappointment was Jet 2 my wife and I pre booked seats on the plane both ways and when we boarded both times we weren’t sat together. Not what we asked for
We stayed at Regina Mare for a week, the rooms are clean and tidy with stunning views. Breakfast delivered to your room, with great selection for the snack menu at great price! Costa and Jenny and all the staff do everything they can to make your stay perfect! Thank you!
A hotel is as good as it's staff and Kostas and his staff are the best asset for Regina Mare. We booked a Superior room but upon arrival late in the evening we were very disappointed with the room. I could not find a lot of info on room sizes etc. before booking so expected a Superior room to be of a reasonable size but in fact it was very small with an equally small balcony. It was so small that there was not enough room for two suitcases. The bed was uncomfortable and against the wall which is something I detest. The bathroom was very small and had a strong sewer smell, the toilet was heavily stained. Overall the first night was a total disaster, needless to say I did not sleep at all. My husband spoke to the manager Kostas, the following morning and we were moved to a Junior suite which was twice the size of the Superior room and just about ok. The bathroom in the Junior suite was still not up to the standard that I would expect from a 4 star rated hotel. The toilet was heavily stained and the shower hose was rusty. The balcony for the Junior suite was unfortunately very small as well. The other point to be aware of is that there is no privacy on the balconies as the steps from the reception/pool area lead to a number of rooms, the upside was that we got to meet most of the other guests! I have traveled extensively and only stay at 4/5 star hotels so I have a reasonable bench mark. The sad thing was that in such a magical location it could be so much better if the beds were more comfortable and bathrooms could be maintained to a higher standard. The above is meant as constructive criticism and in no way takes away from the overall experience. Santorini is a magical place and I am glad we did it and we enjoyed our stay. We booked according to availability with no previous knowledge of Santorini so took a chance on Regina Mare. To summarize: book nothing less than a Junior Suite if you don't like small rooms. Be prepared for communal balconies. Breakfast is served to your balcony and is excellent. Sunsets are fabulous. Staff are brilliant and will do anything for you. It is expensive so is it worth it? Yes, but be aware to avoid disappointment.…
As has already been said here, the team at Regina Mare will do absolutely everything they can to help make your stay as wonderful as possible. Kostas the general manager met us at 2am and carried our suitcases for us and even served up some Greek Desert wine as a quick welcome, before offering up his WhatsApp number in case we need anything during our stay. We genuinely believe that our holiday would have been much the poorer without Kostas - his restaurant recommendations were spot on, his local knowledge second to none and general friendliness and helpfulness were like nothing we’ve encountered before. All staff were (or at least seemed!) genuinely invested in making sure our stay as good as it can be and we can’t speak highly enough of them. We generally watched the sunsets at the hotel and then went out for dinner as you can't beat the sunset view from the long balcony area by the pool. In Imerovigli, we highly recommend eating at Anogi, Dear Elie and the Aegean particularly. Another one to recommend would be the 4 Seasons, which is nothing to look at, but serves up excellent food at a very good price. We will definitely come back one day as there is truly something special about the island. The people, scenery, food and drink were all fantastic and we can’t recommend the Regina Mare enough!…
It feels like a copy and paste of previous comments, but what a hotel ! Kostas and the staff won't let you lift a finger - From bringing suitcases down a million steps and taking them back up again, to breakfast, drinks and snacks delivered directly to your balcony so you can enjoy them in peace. There are only 19 rooms, so this is a boutique hotel where you're made to feel like royalty. If it's your first time in Santorini it's well worth taking half an hour and letting Kostas give you some information on where to go and how to get around. He will offer up his WhatsApp number should you need anything at any time and you're elsewhere on the island. Last but not least the views of the Caldera are spectacular. There is no better place on Santorini to see the sunset than the Regina Mare. The rooms are basic - I've seen some negativity on here, but if you've been to Greece before, you'll be expecting that. They're comfortable enough, the aircon is good and there's a fridge. Some of the ground floor rooms are very close to the pool and have a small table to sit at. If you can, try and aim to be a little higher up. We had a double with whirlpool (honeymoon room) and that had a private terrace, comfortably allowing for two sun loungers and a table and chairs. We would recommend this hotel and it's amazing staff to anybody.…
My wife and I recently stayed here for a week's holiday from June 16th. This is by far the friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in where the staff are so attentive to your every need. Kosta the general manager of the hotel took the time to explain the places to visit on the island, provided a map and also explained a bit on the history of the island from the volcanic eruption to the ancient civilisations. Jenny the assistant manager was so helpful with everything and nothing is a problem plus she makes the best Greek Mohitos on the island. The hotel is ideally situated at one of the highest points with unrestricted views of the sunset every evening. All of the staff are so friendly and with there being only twenty rooms the service provided is very personal and your not treated as a number as you would be in a larger hotel. We chose to eat in most evenings as the food is of a very good standard. Breakfast is brought to your terrace or balcony every morning at a time of your choosing and, like everything else about this hotel, is excellent with plenty choice. I was fortunate to have my birthday whilst at the hotel and the staff pulled out all the stops by providing a surprise birthday breakfast. We will definitely be returning to Santorini and will look no further than the Regina Mare.…
Very good location in Imerovigli for sunset view away from the most busy area. Superfriendly staff organizing everything for you from booking restaurant to sailing trip. Comfortable clean room. Delicious breakfast served outside the room. Good quality small dishes and snacks also served during the day. Do not forget to order a drink by the pool😉
We spent a wonderful time here. This resort is just excellent. The charming hospitality of Kostas and his team are really outstanding. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and look forward to come back some day soon!
Excellent all round service from the airport pick up to leaving. The staff are so friendly and would have done anything to make our holiday feel special. Perfect location with tranquility and amazing views. Kosta is a fantastic addition to the hotel - he helped us to book days out, gave us so much local information and is a very lovely person. We miss talking to him. What a wonderful week on a beautiful island, in a top class hotel. Lindsey & Mark
We have stayed here many times, it's alway been superb. This visit was no exception. The hotel is positioned on the cliff face so there are quite a few steps to navigate down to it. However, porters are always on hand to carry luggage for you. Once down at the hotel the views are amazing. Our room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable, with effective air con for the warm nights. We had our own balcony looking out over the bay and breakfast was delivered there for us each day. The whole hotel is kept spotless, and the pool is crystal clear. Absolutely NOTHING is too much trouble for the staff here, they are so attentive and welcoming. We also had snacks by the pool on a couple of days and these were exceptionally good... I simply can't recommend this hotel enough!
