We loved that we chosen Kapari. There is a lot of options in Santorini, but Kapari has everything. Location ( Imerovigli, which is the place to be in Santorini), wonderful views of the caldera, pool, delicious breakfast and our room ( Vanila) was so nice.

We had a fantastic stay at the Kapari. Santorini really is a special place and although the photos are unbelievable it is even better in real life. We stayed for three nights in one of the suites which we were upgraded to as things were still reasonably quiet when we visited due to the pandemic. The staff were friendly, professional, and the service was excellent throughout the stay. The room was beautiful and had everything you needed. The bathroom was in the cave part of the room and was special. We also had an excellent outdoor area and semi private jacuzzi to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset each night. The hotel is in a great location, views are incredible, it was quiet at all times, and easily walkable to Thira if you want a busier atmosphere. The restaurant was great without being silly prices - we had breakfast daily and dinner one night. Beautiful and fresh food with top service. The guest pool was reasonably small and the day beds sometimes difficult to get but was still lovely and not really a problem. Highly recommend if looking for a place to stay in Imerovigli. Do something special and spend a little extra and stay here - amazing memories that we will never forget

We loved our stay at the Kapari Natural Resort and found Imerovigli to be the perfect place for us to explore Santorini. We were on the fence about coming to Santorini in July as we thought it would be unbelievably crowded and touristy, but we felt we couldn't go to Greece without seeing Santorini. Imerovigli is perfectly situated in between Oia and Fira and is significantly less touristy and crowded, and the sunset view is so similar to what you see from Fira. I highly recommend staying in this location if you want to explore all that Santorini has to offer, but in a more relaxed, quiet, and serene setting. Kapari Natural Resort was our first stop on our Greek island hopping adventure and it was a great way to kick start an amazing honeymoon. We were greeted by the exceptionally friendly and accommodating hotel staff, who were happy to assist us with any and everything. Our cave room was so unique and felt luxurious and we loved seeing the caldera from our room. Although our room was just above the pool level and below the outdoor dining patio, it felt very private and was generally quiet. There are a few rooms right on the pool deck which seemed like they would be less quiet so make sure to request different room if noise bothers you and you're looking for more privacy. The food at the restaurant is exceptional. If traveling during the high season, definitely reserve a table for dinner far in advance if you want to eat during sunset. We loved the tasting menu. It is pricey but a worthwhile splurge. Breakfasts are included and the menu has a lot of variety and tasty options for everyone. The only unfortunate thing about traveling during the high season is that you need a dinner reservation for most places with a view of sunset, even in Imerovigli. All in all, this was an amazing place to stay in Santorini and made for a memorable part of an amazing honeymoon trip. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for luxury and beautiful views away from the hustle and bustle, but in a location perfectly situated for exploring! We would love to come back here in the future.

Kapari was an amazing resort to stay at. The service and view was incredible. Frequenting a high end club in America, the concierge is supreme at this location not to mention the dinner menu was the best food I have ever had in my life. The room cleaning service was spotty in our experience, and the breakfast was okay for the price you are paying. After getting married on the island and getting to know the other hotels and vendors on santorini, you can get cheaper and if not equal accommodation for way less price (roughly 2000-1500 less). Even some of the staff told us the same and that we were really just paying for the view…which is beautiful, but after staying in other places in Greece, we felt money could have been better spent elsewhere, and we didn’t even go during high season. Note: it IS WORTH attending their 9 course tasting menu. Best food I've ever had in my life.

Our overall experience of Kapari Natural Resort was excellent. The location is exceptional and, having visited both Fira and Oia during our stay, we were thankful for having booked in the quieter Imerovigli. The views from the hotel (in particular the pool and dining area) are out-of-this-world. The staff were attentive and happy to make dinner/activity reservations on our behalf - their advice with respect to day trips was also very helpful.

We booked a Spa Premium room and were very happy with it. Our room was up a few steps to the side of the communal pool - this was a big plus as a few of the rooms opened up directly onto the pool area where there would definitely have been less privacy (and more noise!)

The breakfast offering was good. The tasting menu at the Kapari Wine Restaurant was fantastic - expensive but value for money given the quality of the food.

The only negative from our perspective was that the hotel did not offer ongoing complementary water (only the first bottle of water in the room was included) or any free transfers from/to the hotel. These were both offered by the other hotels we stayed at in Greece, and providing free bottled water seems like it would be an easy win. There is however a supermarket very near to the hotel where guests can stock up.

We had a Premium room for one night as a treat for my birthday. We really wished we hadn’t bothered. The hotel on the other side of the island was much more friendly and welcoming and much better value.
The furnishings were fairly basic: a straight sofa and a small shelf to put things on but nothing else. No dressing table and very little room for cases. This is supposedly a room for three and I can’t imagine how you’d all fit in if you had to use the sofa as a third bed. There was a coffee machine in the room which was free but there wasn’t any milk or cream for it. We could have asked but as we were there only one night we didn’t bother. However at this price we shouldn’t have to ask. I have also just noticed on reviewing the room amenities that it says bottle of wine, pool towels and turn down service. We didn’t have any of those things.
Our balcony had to be crossed by the residents of the next room to get into theirs and they could look straight into our room which was awkward when they did so and one of us was getting dressed.
There were very steep wooden stairs to the mezzanine bed. The bed was pushed up to the back of the room because the space was tight so one person had to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. The bed was comfortable though.
We enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the sunset with a glass of wine.
The swimming pool was tiny and had only 5 loungers so when we went down at 5.30pm we could only get one.
Breakfast was very nice with lots of choices.
The location was pretty good near the centre of Imerovigli, and you can easily walk along the coastal path to Fira.
I know rooms are expensive on the caldera front but this just didn’t feel like good value for money at all. I really regretted the whole experience and should have spent the money on a handbag instead!

We are still thinking about the most amazing stay we had at Kapari towards the end of October.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were very well taken care of and had an incredible time. We had a spa room and very much enjoyed having that hot tub bath to relax in after wandering the island.

The hotel was perfect location for us as a couple wanting a fairly quiet weekend exploring at our own pace.

Coming towards the end of the season meant it was much quieter and this suited us best, not wanting the busy chaos that you hear Santorini can get in the high season while still having atmosphere. We enjoyed a walk to Thira and spent an afternoon wandering around Oia where we got more of a sense of what high season may be like, very touristy and very busy.

The views however don’t depend on the time in the season and the hotel did not disappoint in providing those beautiful Santorini views from our rooms and breakfast.

The food was just as impressive, with a whole selection for breakfast providing something for everyone and the restaurant is not to be missed. We had a very tasty meal on our first evening and as big lovers of food we were very impressed.

We were incredibly impressed, have been asked for the name of the hotel by all our friends and we have no doubt we will be back as soon as we can! Thank you so much for a very special holiday!!

Santorini is one of my favorite places in the world to travel, so I have been returning over and over again for nearly 20 years. I've been fortunate to stay all over the majestic island in many different places. However, I find myself returning to Kapari every time possible now, as there is no comparison to the overall experience anywhere else. From the lodging, to the service, food, facilities, amenities, location on the island and, of course, the ultimate sunset views, it exceeds expectations.

Kapari is a family owned and one of a kind gem. If you seek wild pool parties, this is not for you. It is located in the quietly elegant and tranquil village of Imerovigli, which is centrally located on the cliffs of the volcano's caldera. It sits on a high point of the cliffs, between the two largest villages on the island, Oia and Fira. This is a big point, as not only is Kapari in a good location on the island itself, but it is also at the top of the caldera. If you aren't familiar with Santorini, you should know that the island has steep cliffs and the hotels can be very difficult to access with many steps. Kapari is located at the top of the cliffs with direct road access, so you won't have as many steps to navigate as most of the other hotels on the caldera side.

My trips: I brought my mother here for a mother/daughter trip, my boyfriend and I have returned multiple times, I came with a small girls group another time, and I have even returned on my own a few times. Every time has been memorable for different (and some of the same) reasons, and we all look forward to, and reminisce and dream about, returning. ( I should also mention that I am an actress and filmmaker, and filmed an independent feature film on the island several years ago. One could definitely describe me as an admirer of the special island.)

Each room is unique, as no two caves are the same. I recommend staying in the Private Residences, but they really are all remarkable. You have your own terrace with a table and private cave jacuzzi, overlooking the caldera and Santorini's iconic Skaro's Rock. Watching the sunset from the Private Residence is one of my favorite places on the island, as there are no crowds or concerns... just the quiet, mesmerizing beauty of the sun as it melts into the sea.

I'm including some photos from my trip this summer. I hoped to return in October (one of the dreamiest times to travel to Santorini), but it didn't happen this year. Hopefully, next year though. Whenever it is, I will definitely be back again. Thank you for being my oasis, dear Kapari Natural Resort family!

The hotel room was magical! The view was one of a kind. Truly a dream come true for someone who lives in the city. The jacuzzi was just a great surprise and a unique feeling! The restaurant in the hotel was very convenient and of the best meals I have ever had. The hotel is in a very convenient location and is right next to Skaro which is the ideal location for sunset pictures. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke fluent English which was extremely useful! I highly recommend!

I cannot say enough in regard to our experience at Kapari. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our experience surpassed my expectation in so many ways!

We arrived very early in the morning yet Kapari staff gave us a very comfortable room to rest in until ours was ready and we were grateful to rest until then. We bookedi the Vanilla room on the private terrace. These cave like rooms are simple but so comfortable. The views from this hotel are magical and sights of Skaros rock and the caldera were breathtaking. I am so happy we listened to friends and stayed in Imerovigli instead of Oia.

The staff went out of their way to bring us anything our hearts desired and we were surprised by afternoon treats such as beautiful fresh fruit platters etc. The breakfast spread here is amazing and the chef even made gluten free pastries for my husband!

We could not recommend this hotel and their staff enough. We are discerning travelers and the WAY we were treated and cared for was what will be our new bar for lux travel experiences.

Bravo and thank you Kapari!

Yes there are rooms directly opening onto the swimming pool. There are quite a few stairs, this is commonplace with the majority of hotels in santorini as you mention. However if you have a room that opens out to the pool there is only one set of stairs from the room to take you up to the restaurant for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel
