What a fantastic location for a resort, punctuated by an amazingly accommodating staff, eager to please every step of the way. Couple of things to be mindful of.... - Staff is fabulous. The reason you come back to this place. - View is absolutely brilliant. Postcard from every angle. - Dinner restaurant deserves its Michelin Star Room for improvement, and other caveats: - There are a lot of steps here. Be prepared to climb up and down, a lot. - Did I mention the number of stairs? - You're essentially paying for the extraordinary view. Rooms are a bit tired, but seems to be "standard" for Santorini - "suite" not really a suite by normal hotel standards. - Bedding and linens are not up to Five Star quality. - Room amenities need to be upgraded, too. Still come back to the extraordinary level of service and view, which ultimately carries the day.…
Grace Santorini has the best sunset views in Santorini. The service was outstanding as was the 5 course breakfast each morning. Key names to mention are Konstantine (day manager), Stavros (table consultant), but all of the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. An amazing
The standard of service truly stands out and the experience was made one-of-a-kind through the warm reception, the personalised amenities, and the detail oriented thoughts behind all the staff's actions. Upon arriving at the beautiful location I was truly awe-struck by the stretching views and when it comes to finding the perfect spot to enjoy dinner or drinks the award winning gastronomy and carefully crafted cocktails, paired with the restaurant’s vistas make for an unforgettable evening. Already, I am looking forward to my next trip!
Amazing hotel, and the view is incredible (better than from Oia in my opinion, where I also spent three nights). This is an incredible place with great attention to detail, and the main pool is a masterpiece…also the breakfast is great, one of the best I’ve ever had. The rooms are pretty nice, but given the architecture of the hotel they are all different. Some may be larger, and with a better view, than others. A plunge pool is a must (it gets very warm during the day!), almost all rooms and suites have one. We had a great time watching the sunset every evening from our plunge pool…memories for life.
This is an extraordinary hotel. When you start wondering if the hotel is distracting you from the surrounding views of Santorini, you know you have found a great hotel. Our room could not have been better. We had an indoor plunge pool and an outdoor plunge pool on our very private deck. The shower had a steam function that was heavenly! Bedding and amenities were first class. More importantly, the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Every staff member we met was solely focused and making sure that we were having a magnificent stay. If you want a once in a life time experience at one of the best hotels in the world, stay here!
This is the best hotel in Santorini with the most amazing service. Everyone is so hospitable and accommodating. This was our proposal/engagement trip and the entire staff was super involved and helpful through the process. The views from this hotel are unbeatable with convenience of being in the middle of the island. It is a 20 minute walk from Fira and 1.5 hour hike to Oia (which many people do). Grace made our visit extremely memorable, we will only stay here whenever we visit. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for being so awesome!
This hotel and the service is outstanding. A beautiful property with incredible views of the caldera. The service was great starting form the staff who carries your bags all the way from where the cars drop you off to the front desk and all the people who are very firendly. George helped me with setting up the private dinner at the pool and a surprise proposal which worked out perfect. The dinner was incredible and so was the service. Walking distance to Fira (20 minutes) and to Oia by way of the caldera hike - 2 hours or so. Highly recommend this property if you're looking for the best place in Santorini.
First of all to put things into perspective we stayed at The Grace for 5 nights paying €3000+ a night. Welcoming arrival with a glass of champagne while we were checked in then taken to our room which we had initially booked, the superior suite. The ‘suite’ was tiny but the big problem was between you and your beautiful view of the caldera is a public pathway meaning any hikers walking up and down can see directly into your room. This would be ok if it’s a quiet pathway but we counted 40 people passing in 15 minutes. So we requested to change rooms, but other suites in our category were unavailable as was the next available upgrade. We ended up in a grace suite for an extra €1000 a night. The Grace suite is a lovely room itself, plenty of space for 2 people and much more private although you’re still overlooked from the hotel restaurant above, but some things can’t be helped in this style of hotel we understood that. The issues with the room came where there is only one mirror outside of the bathroom which is inside the wardrobe door and isn’t near a plug socket so you’re forced to use the bathroom mirror for blow drying your hair which isn’t ideal. ONE towel each was provided in the bathroom with one small bath mat for a huge bathroom with a shower and plunge pool so you’re treading on bare floor with wet feet. Cleaning service is not what I expect for a hotel of this category if you leave some clothes on the bed they don’t fold or put it away for you, the bin wasn’t changed one day in the toilet, used glasses were either not removed or removed and not replaced so we had to constantly call reception to bring us glasses when we needed them and they didn’t check the mini bar every day which caused confusion when we checked out. There’s also supposed to be some kind of tailored room fragrance if I recall correctly from booking but I didn’t see any sign of that. The service in the hotel restaurant is slow and not 5* The breakfast got tiresome and we were only offered champagne once after being told a ‘champagne breakfast’ is included. Things were often forgotten and it felt like a few of the staff were in training. 2 of the 5 nights the bar was closed for private weddings. That’s absolutely the hotels prerogative to have private functions but it would have been nice to have been advised in advance if a hotel feature is unavailable as I have in other hotels I have stayed in. It’s a lovely hotel in an area that is much quieter than Oia and Fira which is preferable for us and the views are stunning but the hotel doesn’t own the view & they’ve a long way to go to bring the hotel up to feeling like a true 5* before I would recommend paying what we did to stay there. Yes there’s cute little gifts every evening but most luxury hotels around the world offer free amenities (let’s face it that’s all they are) throughout the day. I’m not partial to writing reviews but I wish I hadn’t been blind sided by the rave reviews before we came. It’s also worth mentioning that there are A LOT of steps to get to and from the hotel which is not for the faint hearted. This is obviously not a reflection on the hotel itself but be prepared.…
Just marvelous. The rooms, the vistas, the service, the food! Even a tasting menu for breakfast that changes every day! The staff went out of its way to accommodate a special need of my spouse's with ease and grace. Thank you, Maria and staff.
We booked our stay at the Grace Hotel in Santorini for our honeymoon. What attracted us to stay here was the Auberge name as well as the incredible reviews, photos, and more. To say our expectations were high is an understatement! Our experience with the well trained and friendly staff at the Grace Hotel was incredible. Leading up to our stay, Silvia & Matina were incredibly helpful and gracious with their time to make sure all of our plans were set. Upon arrival, the friendly staff greeted us and helped us with our bags down the staircase. We felt welcomed from the very beginning. If you are staying at the Grace, you MUST experience the cuisine of the Santoro restaurant. George (food and Bev gm) and Stavros do an incredible job to make sure every experience is world class. They even went out of their way to make sure we had a great spread of food for our boat day as well as an incredible bottle of wine that we were able to hand select for the day. You can tell the staff really cares about the guests having an incredible time, and they are very successful in that! Giannis, Evi, and George are incredibly attentive servers and extremely friendly every morning and afternoon. The rooms were impeccably cleaned and the turn down service at night was exciting for us to see what types of gifts and treats they would provide to us in anticipation of the next day. There is no wonder why they received the title of the #1 hotel in Greece and #1 hotel in Europe! Simply a wonderful experience and we cannot wait to be back.…
