This hotel is very nicely located in a quiet village of Agia Pelagia.
The owner will do everything for you to feel comfortable. I made a mistake in booking days and we arrived one day early and he made necessary changes to welcome us.
There are couple of small beaches in a short distance.
The hotel is on a hill and it is quite a challenge to enter the parking. We parked down the hill and the owner was always bringing the car up:)
Also you can have a marvelous sunrise view from your balcony if you wake up early.

We’ve stayed a night in superior suite with sea view (4 adults). The room was big enough for 3 adults and 2 children and was very clean. The bathroom was very small and in need of some renovations (shower curtain, cabinets). The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We ate dinner at their restaurant and food was very good.

If you like to be treated like close family, have a superb place to stay at night, eat magnificent food all at a very reasonable fee, do not go anywhere else but Sunday Life. Come from anywhere in Crete, even come from another island or country, you must make it once at least.

Stelios and family will open their beautiful hotel/restaurant for you to enjoy. You can make the most of the surroundings of swimming pool with bar, fabulous ocean views from every point on the property, even workout with Stelios at the onsite fully equipped gym - if you can move after the enormous breakfast.

We probably have never stayed at a more wonderful place or met a more endearing family. You could be mistaken to think they do this just to 'get you in' but the welcome and friendliness lasts for the entire stay and beyond, totally genuine and is offered to everyone who arrives.

Certainly these are NOT luxury apartments. The photos are misleading and some rooms are completely different from what they look like. Also the plumbing is really old and we found mold in our room hidden behind a cupboard. (This was supposedly one of the priciest/best room according to the owners).
The owners seemed to know the problems but didn't care to hear the feedback, also they were very unhelpful.
In my opinion there are much better , decent & cheaper places than these scammy apartments.

Red flag!!! Don't go here, this is a scam. The pictures are fake, it is a disgusting place. I booked and found out when I arrived. This place is horrible, I just can't find more words to describe this, but I have to write at least 200 characters.

If there`s a place in the world we could imagine to stay forever it`s the „Sunday Life“ in Agia Pelagia.

It`s more like staying at a friend’s house for a couple of days, relaxing and taking some time off. Just about everything in this place feels right. It offers a mixture of a well serviced and clean hotel and complete regeneration during your vacation.

The hotel is run by Stelios and his brother Yannis. And no matter what they say, we`ve felt that their mom has a big influence on things too.

Stelios is the chef and owner. He was creating some of the most flavorful and delicate organic meals we`ve ever eaten. We even got to enjoy some of their moms Greek specialties, every one of them almost to die for. The Galaktoboureko and chocolate soufflé alone are illegally good! Yannis on the other hand is the co-owner and runs the restaurant. You won`t ever see him being in a hurry.

The cuisine of the hotel alone deserves an extra report and still you couldn`t imagine how good it is. You simply got to go there, try it, and never eat anything else. We didn`t have one dinner outside during our stay, that pretty much says it all.

We`ve had a great room right above the restaurant area, with sea-view right from the bed and a great look over the main bay area of Agia Pelagia. The room was big, bright and clean. Our canopy bed (the kind of four poster beds with curtains) was massive. You could even do pull-ups on the metal frame. Also you`ll find a king-size aloe-vera anti-allergic mattress instead of a box-spring-mattress they usually use in Greece.

The hotel offers a well maintained pool, a really big terrace, a harmonically lit restaurant, as well as a gym and the most recreational surrounding area you can imagine.

In the proximity of Agia Pelagia you`ll find different beaches, each one of its own beauty. Also there are a few shops to browse around. Just ask Stelios or Yannis, they will feed you info’s to the best places around.

There are only about 12 rooms so the place never feels crowded – even when fully booked. You know the other guests and occasionally get to talk to each other if you wish. But most of the time we felt almost like being alone. And that was great since we just came from a 500+ bed hotel.

Another big point is that you hardly won`t have any restrictions. You`re planning to do a trip to Irakleio and want to get up at 8h? Fine, we did that maybe twice. The rest of our vacation we didn`t get up before 10h or 11h. Asking Stelios about the breakfast times he replied: “You can only get breakfast, if you`re hungry“. So we didn`t have to worry about that either and received the biggest and best-priced breakfast whenever we wanted between 8h and 12h. Nothing more terrible than getting tired out of bed during your vacation. Forget about this here.
To cut it all down, this is what you will get at the „Sunday Life“.

Pool? Gym? Wi-Fi? TV? Mini-bar?
Yes all that and additionally:

You`ll get to know some of the most likeable people of Crete.
You`ll live uphill the wonderful proximity of Agia Pelagia.
You`ll eat the greatest food you can imagine.
You`ll have the best sleep of your life.
You`ll experience full recreation and recovery.

Stelios, Yannis and their mom are really doing a great job in creating this relaxed one-of-a-kind atmosphere we`ve never experienced before.

Now we`re in our day jobs again, but a part of us will stay there forever.
This was definitely not our last trip to Sunday Life.
Thanks for having us.

We have stayed at Sunday Life for a week and we have spend a great time here. The hotel is small scale (11 rooms/appts only) and family-run. We stayed in room 108 and like most rooms we had a marvellous sea view. Clean and spacious rooms, The owners are very charming, helpful and friendly people.
Moreover, the Sunday Life restaurant is very good and organic. Breakfast is outstanding and only 7 euros pp.,Fresh, home-made products. We have tried several other beach front restaurants at Agia Pelagia and Fodele but the restaurant at Sunday Life was better and more original.
The walk to the nearest beach (the central beach of Agia Pelagia) is only 5 minutes by foot. (It's down a small hill, so not very practical for people with small children in a stroller). If you want to explore other beaches like the lovely Psaromoura beach it's better to hire a scooter like we did.
This is the only small hotel in Agia Pelagia which matches three major advantages: it is close to the beach, it has a magnificent seaview and also a well-situated quiet swimming pool away from the road. These three things are not matched elsewhere in Agia Pelagia. Moreover, Agia Pelagia is only 20 min from the Heraklion airport. So it's a good choice for those who want to avoid mass tourism but don't want to go to the south of Crete because of the distance from the airport.

As a family of four, we traveled recently in Crete. Although the whole trip turned out to be a splendid experience, our stay in Sunday Life was so good that even some time after, it keeps turning in my mind and I just wish we were there again, for some more time. The rooms are completely renovated and spotless, huge. Wifi is free and each room has a huge flat-screen TV. The view is perfect, and the owners are just so helpful it beats me. Breakfast is extra, but at 7€ pp and considering what and how much you eat, it's a bargain. The hours we spent in their tasty, in every sense, restaurant upstairs were glorious: More than you can eat of local food made of their own local produce. We took a basket with us for the day and, frankly, had to skip lunch, we were that full from breakfast. Needless to say, we only ate there for supper as well: another feast, with excellent local wine. In the night, we stayed out in the terrace until late, and the warm breeze felt like an ointment for our rusty bodies, coming from the north... It was too early to use the pool, but we used the fitness and it was OK. The beach is at walking distance. If you are looking for value for your money and a personalized service, go for Sunday Life.
