As soon as you arrive at Chalet AlpeLune you realise you're somewhere special; beautifully constructed (by the owners), idyllic location (with stunning views of mountains all around) and vast gardens around the chalet. That's just the outside! Inside is similarly impressive- tastefully decorated with nice touches (like photos of the surrounding landscapes and wildlife) and a warm ambiance - you start to feel at home immediately. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and offer another great view of the surrounding mountains. A private bathroom with all the usual amenities make this a very comfortable stay. The sauna and jacuzzi offer total relaxation, a lounge with comfy sofas, various patios both in the sun and the shade and a garden offering activities for the kids (from tightrope to trampoline) make the hours between activities fly by. And just when you thought it couldn't get any better...the food! Healthy, hearty, delicious and beautifully- presented, it really doesn't get better than this. The final plus is the crew. Both the hosts Vincent and Ilonka and their crew in the kitchen/leading trails/giving presentations are clearly experienced with and passionate about (mountain) sports, and happily offer tips and advice on where to go/what to do. We were even lucky enough to have them accompany us on several occasions, giving us insights into the history and geography of the area. All in all, a truly delightful place to stay…
We were delayed nearly 4 hours with a nightmare coach journey in heavy snow so didn't arrive at the chalet till nearly 2 am. We walked in and Vincent and Iionka, who run the chalet, greeted us with compassion, hot food, and cold wine. From that moment, till the end of the holiday, they went out their way to ensure we had a great time, while acting like their unswerving hospitality was no big deal. It has been the best chalet I have ever stayed in, by a considerable distance. It has been full of laughter and the most relaxed beautiful chalet imaginable. And the food has been incredible. I very much hope to come back - it has been that good.
A group of 14 of us ranging from 16 to 50ish (!) have just returned from a week staying at Alpelune. It is the most wonderful of places. Vincent and Ilonka make you welcome from the minute you make the booking until you leave. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand to help with anything. This year they were ably assisted by Dayna in the kitchen, whose cooking was excellent, and Nicola who is always smiling!! This was our second stay at Alpelune and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone!!
The Website states 'We’ll do everything possible to ensure you have an enjoyable stay, from tasty meals to exceptional service'. This is not an exaggeration, this is FACT. The team are fantastic, they are totally committed to ensuring everybody in the group has a great experience, we were a group of 17 and every one of us had one of the best holidays ever. Great food, great chalet, great support. Thank you all for a wonderful week in your chalet.
Ilonka Vincent erlin and Nicola were four fantastic hosts. Couldn't do enough for us. We were a group of 17, teenagers and adults. Erlin and Nicola fed us so we'll. All the good was well presented, tasty and plentiful. Highly recommended chalet with the added bonus of hot tub and sauna. Will be returning!
Chalet Alpelune in Puy St Vincent is a little slice of heaven! It is in a lovely location, the facilities are fantastic and the food is delightful. The owners Vincent and Ilonka and the chef Erlyn and is lovely wife Nicola made our stay delightful. They were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will definately be visiting again!
We joined in for a diner by chef Wout and we were treated on a excellent meal, topped off with home made icecream and baked potatoes. Great views and a relaxed atmosphere during a communal diner. Recommended!
This was our first stay during winter season in Alpe Lune. And what a great holiday it was!! Together with family and friends we enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms in this new chalet were very spacieus and comfortable. Each with an excellent view and of course a bathroom! Each morning a delicious breakfast was served. After a full day of skiing, we enjoyed a drink near the fireplace in the nice and cosy livingroom and at night a 3 course dinner was served which was as good as in many other well placed restaurants! Thank you, Vincent & Ilonka, for this unforgettable stay! Hope a lot of visitors will experience the same!
