I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. It is conviently situated across from the railway station and 15 walking minutes from the centre of Bethune. The hotel was clean warm and had friendly staff. My French is not so good but I managed with the help of the staff who whilst did not speak English we managed to... More

Good hotel. Enough for a short stay. Nearby the station. Parking available. Room is small (especially the bathroom) but nice. Friendly people. Only negative thing is you can hear people talking outside in the night.

I was on a trip to see the British WW1 Memorials and had supper with friends in Bethune - they dropped me off at the train station and although advertised my train was not running it was 9pm and the next train to my accommodation in Lille was 5.45am ! some 40 miles away - walking to the B Hotel... The hotels position next to the train station is great for getting around. The rooms are basic but clean and decor is fine too. There is a smell at the back where the rooms are, it is quite strong! Just a quick note bathrooms are small, but the shower was a great power shower. Breakfast was great, which was nice.... More

Management response:

Dear sir, First we apology about the smell which disturb you, we will be more careful about that thing from today. But if you want we have rooms which don't demand to go outside and then it should be better about the smell We hope to see you again in our hotel Best regards More

Stayed here as a couple March 2016 for 2 nights, just to visit Bethune from the UK, Brighton. Drove over so was looking for a place to stay where i could park. This hotel is great for that as there is a huge free parking area just across the road. It's not a secure parking area but felt safe enough.... More

We stayed here unexpectedly for a night last month (Dec 2015). We had a a family room and was impressed by the price. It was very clean, comfortable beds and considering its right next to a train station, we found it very quiet. Didn't eat there so can't comment on that. The receptionist was very polite and friendly.

Would not recommend this hotel. Dark untidy small rooms. In there restraint we had to start the "vintage sardines on slate" yes they came out on a slate but it was just a tin of sardines and they hadn't even opened the tin!!!!

The reason I booked here was the location - across the road from the train station, across the road from a huge free car park and across the road from the UCAR office, total convenience, plus the price which was very reasonable. They did take payment on arrival but this appears to be fairly common at this end of the... More

Breakfast was a disaster. We booked 4 breakfasts for 8am. On arrival there were 3 pre-packed breakfasts laid out 2 of which were partially eaten. We made the most of what was available but couldn't make coffee as there were no instructions on how to use the machine. No staff on duty & we were in a hurry to catch... More

At a bargain price for a double, I will certainly not expect anything else but a clean quiet room and smooth check in/out. This was exactly what we got. not more not less. The owner is chef at the restaurant next door and certainly does some wizardry in the kitchen. will go back there again and definitely pop into the... More
