I have been lucky enough to have spent a week of cycling in the beautiful Pyrenees. Staying at my favourite place, Les Sorbiers. Run by Robert and Rachel Wiliamson, situated in the village of Bareges. As a beginner to cycling, I was amazed on the many miles of perfectly smooth tarmac available to ride in the area. Im no mountain...

Lovely hotel situated in Bareges which is a good central location for hiking or cycling the Pyrenees. Rob and Rachel, the owners, are Brits which is great if you are not very skilled in French. The rooms are simple, with ensuite available, and their weekly price is a bargain with breakfast and dinner included. Rachel is a closet vegetarian, and...

Our annual visit delightful as ever. I recommend a stay at Les Sorbiers if you are a cyclist or walker as this is an ideal centre. Rob and Rachel are very knowledgeable about the area and will sort you out. Nice home cooked food too!

My wife and I recently spent a fantastic week with Rob and Rachel Williamson and family at their little gem of a hotel in beautiful Bareges, on the slopes of the iconic Col du Tourmalet. As a cyclist, the week I spent climbing some of the great cols of the Tour de France under Rob's expert guidance was a highlight,...

As promised, our return to Bareges and Les Sorbiers this summer! Greeted with the usual warm welcome back at Les Sorbiers for a week. We have spent another wonderful time with the Williamson family. This week we have experienced a week of activity, with walking, exploring and a day canyoning. Our hosts have again gone above and beyond the expected...

I suddenly realised I had not written a review of les sorbiers or at least not recently, so I am making amends. Not that I can say anything that others haven't already about rob and Rachel's warm welcome and wonderful company. If you are a cyclist, a walker or a skier you cannot stay in a better place. Do look...

Just back from a fantastic week at Les Sorbiers. Guided cycling trips every day to suit a range of abilities and amazing 3 course meal each night. Rob and Rachel were great hosts and did everything they could to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Fanatastic value for money and we hope to return one day.

Where to begin?...a series of firsts for our family, first Christmas away from the traditional Christmas, first time skiing and first time to Les Sorbiers as a family. Collected by our host, Rob Williamson from the airport of Lourdes, a short 40 min drive up into the mountains to the beautiful, picturesque Pyrenean village of Bareges. Bareges is a playground...

We spent several days at Les Sorbiers this summer with our two small children and had the most relaxing, enjoyable break. Nothing was too much trouble, our room was perfect, the food was amazing, Rob and Rachel were the perfect hosts... Highly recommended! The village is beautiful and has plenty to do, even when your significant other has disappeared off...
