The hotel is well situated near the main thoroughfare of Corte.

You enter through a old door in a traditional building which doesn’t look very promising at first. Then the facilities are mostly on the 2nd floor.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful.

In terms of my room, it was quite spacious with a fairly modern bathroom. However, please note that if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the hotel for you. Sound proofing is appalling between rooms and the corridor. I could hear neighbours very clearly and also the slamming of doors. If you’re in the breakfast room you can hear stomping upstairs. Not what you’d expect for a hotel at this price.

Breakfast was quite good and at €7, good value.

Hello and thank you for this comment. Indeed, the hall is not very welcominfg, but we're working on it... The reception is on 1st floor, not 2nd. Concerning the noise, upstairs, you're right, this old hotel in this old buildings, doesn't have the standards required on new buildings...so, sometimes, you can hear the neighbours walking upstairs, and may be disturb your breakfast, we can conceed that...but there's nothing we can do. Thanks anyway for your visit. Amicizie A prestu. LC

We loved this hotel. Part of a old and gracious building in a delightful square, it occupies part of the first floor. The staff were young, professional and sorted us out effortlessly. The rooms have been very nicely refurbished and are very comfortable and a cut above the typical Corsican Hotel. Breakfast was buffet style continental but included just about the best coffee we had in the whole trip. For a three star hotel this was brilliant.

The entrance hall is very off-putting, but as soon as you reach the first floor reception there is a vast improvement. Our room was quite modest ,but had everything you could reasonably require.it was spotless and with excellent service from the young staff.Breakfast was perfectly adequate .Overall the hotel had a charming atmosphere, and if I return to Corte, I would look no further.

This is a very nice place to stay. Well located in downtown Corte. Clean, even if the building itself is old, major renovations took place recently. Breakfast is very generous and diversified. I recommend to anyone who's spending a few days in Corte.

Note that parking is not included, but we were lucky to find a free spot next to the hotel.

We were booked into the Hotel Duc de Padoue for one night by our travel agent. It was a delightful experience with lovely staff, albeit without too much English and a lovely room. Small but well appointed bathroom with loads of hot water. It was the only hotel on our whole trip that provided kettle, teabags and coffee in the room. Excellent. The hotel is ideally situated close to the main street of Corte. We enjoyed a very plentiful breakfast prior to leaving. It will be the place to stay on our next visit.

Pleasant, friendly and helpful reception staff, all of whom had good English skills. Well appointed and cool room. Good location. Poor bathroom facilities: don't flush the loo without putting down the toilet seat, otherwise you'll get splashed; 'daisy' shower didn't work; riser for other shower head was broken; extractor fan didn't work; soap bar and shampoo not replenished. When you want a shower, turn it on to hot, make yourself a cup of tea with the kettle etc provided, drink it, by which time the shower water might be hot!

Ideally located to explore the interesting town of Corte and its immediate surrounds like the gorges of Restonica and Tavignanu. Situated just off the Main Street, ten mins walk from the citadel and the main square of Place Gaffori. If you have a car, parking can be difficult. Try the space directly at the side of the hotel down a level or you may be lucky outside the front door!
The hotel itself is a fine 3 star. As so many reviews comment on, the entrance is initially not promising but the actual rooms are fine if basic. Most things worked but irritants like a sink that wouldn't seal properly, a TV remote which would not work, no obvious soundproofing despite the hotel's claims, inadequate toiletries/drinks sachets, no expel air system in the en suite. Issues which for the most part could so easily be avoided.
Breakfast was very good, the usual continental choices and all very fresh. So, overall Hotel Duc de Padoue is okay for a reasonably priced town centre hotel.

Excellent service, great location, a solid choice for a good price in Corte. Staff was friendly and bilingual, hotel was recently refurbished and is well located downtown. Easy online booking. I have stayed at the Duc de Padoue 3 times and will definitely do it again.

The Duc wasn't quite what we were expecting as we arrived, with the large entrance door into a townhouse in the centre of Corte. However initial reactions can be deceptive as we were greeted and show to our room in record time. The rooms were clean, comfortable, but unspectacular. However, the service was impeccable with the girl at the desk not only giving us great recommendations for corte (free parking, food, sites), but also further on our journey around Corsica as well. Many thanks, a great place for a night in Corte
