we have been staying one at villa Stings. it was our lucky star that drove us there while desperately looking for a restaurant, then, thanks to the charm of the Villa, we decided to cancel the reservation we had elsewhere and book a night there. food is excellent, French cuisine with a twist of innovation (we had wonderful ravioli with lobster and mushrooms) run by the owner, a french / swedish couple. restaurant room is very nice and service is accurate.
there are just a few rooms on the first and second floor of this nice villa facing the river. second floor has been already renewed, first will come. rooms are simple and clean, wuth excellend value for money. opening the windows and facing a pleasant river in a small French village is a real plus!

If you want to go to the beach, like we did everyday, it took about 30 min. to get to either Capbretton or Hossegor. Dax is at 30 min. and Biaritz about 40 min. The dinner offered at the hotel was available in 3 set “menus”; 36 €, 50 € and 80 €(drinks not included). We tried the one for 36 Euros which we thought was good but you can do better if you’re willing to hunt around the surrounding towns. The rooms were clean and OK shape for the price. I... More
