Guests at the Aminess Grand Azur Hotel have commended the friendly and attentive service, despite occasional delays. The hotel's serene seaside location is appreciated, though its distance from town centers is noted. While the atmosphere is celebrated for entertainment, some find it impersonal. Opinions on rooms vary, with both comfort and sea views as well as criticisms of size and lack of balconies. Cleanliness is generally upheld, and amenities like varied dining and 'doggie bags' are well-received, yet some issues with restaurant capacity and towels are mentioned.

We spent amazing week at Grand Hotel Orebic and had an amazing time. The hotel looks excellent and offers a very high quality comfort to its guests.

Our room has a lovely balcony and park view. This was great because it provided a lovely shade and the room was never hot (although outside temperature often reached 30 degrees Celsius). The airconditioning also worked very well. The hotel is surrounded by a large park and is great if you want to have a quiet sleep (as opposed to some other hotels, which were located 0.5 miles away on the busy sea promenade).

Despite at the hight of the season, the hotel did not feel "full" and every guest could enjoy their own space. Breakfast and dinner were provided in a buffet style and the food was always fresh. I would give the food a 4.5 star rating (5 being the best). Food was always fresh and very well prepared. The pool area was also great, with ample deckchairs and umbrellas.

There is also a possiblle near by daily boat service going to the Island Korcula, from the pier outside the hotel. At the beach area you can also rent sea kayaks and paddle boats. Other organized trips are offered by different agencies (buggy tour of Korcula, diving, cycling, hiking, etc), ask at the reception for details.

Overall, the experience we had in Orebic and at the Grand Hotel Orebic exceeded all our expectations and we had such a great time. Definitely a good value resort which has a lot to offer in terms of the diversity of activities and scenery. If you a looking for an active holiday this is definitely a place for you

We stayed in the period from 08. to 14.10.2020. at the Aminess Grand Azur Hotel in Orebic. The room was very clean with a beautiful view of the sea and the pool. The staff was extremely kind and especially Ivana at the reception which provided us with so much useful information and advice. The food in the restaurant was varied and great care was taken of hygiene at the time of the corona. The outdoor pool is beautiful, but we didn’t use it because the sea is still warm and comfortable for swimming. In any case, a great hotel, both in terms of location and equipment, as well as very professional and valuable staff.

My 8 year old Granddaughter and I stayed here (our holiday to Tenerife had been cancelled) . Nice hotel, the food was nice with plenty of choice on offer for breakfast, although limited for a fussy 8 year old.
We stayed B&B but had a couple of evening meals at the hotel and only had to pay for myself.

All staff wore masks but it wasn't compulsory for the guests to wear them although around the hotel we tended to.
Hand sanitiser was placed at all entrances/exits, lifts and the restaurant but this wasn't monitored at the restaurant but I feel it should be.

There isn't enough sunbeds by the pool and surrounding sun decks. Guests put their towels on the sunbed and go and leave them for hours on end. This should be stopped, if a towel has been on the bed for more than an hour and a half someone at the hotel should remove the towels to allow other guests using the pool to use the beds. There didn't seem to be any consideration.

All in all we had a great time, I would return but maybe book a room with a balcony.

Thank you to all the staff and entertainment crew...fab.

Really well managed hotel with consistently excellent staff. We were fortunate that the hotel was probably only about 50% capacity, this meant easy to get a sunbed to suit round the lovely pool and no crowding in the restaurant. Suspect the management have responded to previous reviews, as all the buffet items were served by mask wearing staff and guests weren’t allowed to touch any items or serving implements. Room was very clean and well maintained. Impression was that the hotel was well maintained throughout. Staff were all very helpful, with special mention for the welcoming lady at reception, the bar persons Jelena and Kate. We took the half board option as it was so little additional from B&B, we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of the food over the 6 days we stayed. We ate out much less than expected as the quality in hotel was at least equal to the restaurants in Orebić.

Myself and my partner enjoyed our 10 day stay at the Aminess Grand Azur hotel in Orebic, Croatia. Located right on the beach and only a 10-15 minute walk from the small town of Orebic the hotel is set in a very picturesque location and very close to the beautiful island of Korcula. We enjoyed being able to get the passenger ferry to Korcula which was only a 15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is around 2 hours from Dubrovnik.

The hotel food was of a very good standard and there were plenty of options available to cater for everyone. We were only half board plus with TUI but the staff allowed us to swap evening meals for lunch which was a nice gesture as we wanted to eat out some nights. The food didn’t change too often so it could get repetitive for some, but again plenty of choice. Good restaurant options in Orebic/Korcula too.

Our room was lovely and very clean and we enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean and nearby islands. The cleaning staff were lovely and do an amazing job! No complaints about the cleanliness or state of the hotel.
The pool and sun bathing area has plenty of room and is a pleasant place to sunbathe. The pool is also quite large and very clean, and we enjoyed spending time at the beach too which is a great option to have if you get bored of the pool. The only down side is that as the beach is a public one, local kids often tend to sneak their way into the pool which is for guests only. This then made the pool a lot busier than it should have been. However… it did not ruin or detract our attention from enjoying our holiday. The staff were aware of this and hopefully they will implement a solution to stop it. The gate to the pool area did not lock/unlock with our room cards as the device was not working, so perhaps this will be fixed soon. The staff also deserve a huge mention as they are incredibly kind, helpful and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble and they provided excellent entertainment for both adults and kids.

Overall we had a pleasant stay at this resort and will happily return in the future.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Aminess Grand Azur hotel in Orebić when I went with my class on a graduation trip. It was a wonderful experience, both for us teachers and for the children. The hotel staff were very friendly and very understanding of a large group of children who can be loud, and as we all know, cause trouble at times. If there are any problems, everyone is ready to help and resolve them as quickly and calmly as possible. We were accommodated in beautiful rooms that are spacious, have modern furnishings and offer a beautiful view of the sea coast on one side and a beautifully landscaped garden on the other side of the hotel. The maids regularly keep the rooms clean, and if at some point you decide that your room does not need to be cleaned, you can put a cloth bag on the door of the room, in which the maids then put chocolates. The hotel's restaurant has a rich selection of food and drinks, where a sumptuous buffet table is set up for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where everyone can find something for themselves. The hotel also offers a terrace, an aperitif bar, a massage room, a gym, outdoor swimming pools and beaches equipped with numerous sunbeds and umbrellas. Hotel employees try to attract and entertain guests and organize many activities for all ages. While we were staying there, one evening we had the opportunity to listen to the performance of a musical group in the lobby of the hotel. What also makes this hotel a good choice is its location, both within Orebić itself and throughout southern Dalmatia. This is why this hotel can be a great starting location from where you can organize trips to other places in southern Dalmatia such as Korčula, Ston and Dubrovnik and thus complete your trip. I am delighted with this hotel and would like to return one day and spend my honeymoon there. But wishes are one thing, possibilities are another. I am sure that he has a bright future ahead of him and that one day he will receive that last, fifth star. In any case, he deserves it!

I would say this hotel goes for average grade because:

PRO:
*the pool is kept clean all the time
*the rooms are very comfortable with modern design
*the staff is very friendly and they do speak english (not like all the other Croatioans I've been interacting with)
*Billy (the guy from animation) is one of the best animator I`ve ever met in my holidays. He always gathered us for pool games, volleybal and he knew how to change the mood of everyone there. Congrats Billy, btw use less steroids bro.

CONS:
*there are no drinks/snacks between meals (I was used to Turkish All Inclusive)
*the housekeeper didn`t replace the towels only if we called
*the food is not so diverse (I`ve been eating Gulas for 3 days out of 7)
*the drinks in the restaurant were awful (no coca-cola, no pepsi, nothing commercial, I drank water 7 days out of 7)

Overall, after I spent 5 summers in Turkey, I decided to give Croatia a try, but Turkey is waaaaaaay better. Hope this feedbacks helps.

Kind regards,
Marius

A real find this hotel is in the small friendly town of Orebic..sheltered at the end of the bay in quiet and private spot with a beach and beautiful sea views opposite the beautiful island of Korcula
The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere promoted by the polite professional friendly staff.
My room was a double fronted with wall to wall window views and balcony. . It was very comfortable and very spacious. The whole hotel was spotless and smelt so fresh. The food was a large buffet style with many different dishes dalmatian and European. Good choices and lots of local wines and beer.cleanliness and hygiene was carefully cultivated and practised by all.
Entertainment was aided by the huge personality of crazy nick whose real job was looking after the bar.. one evening we had the pleasure of listening to a male whose vocal range was a gift.
Indoor and outdoor activities were plenty as well as sunbathing and swimming both in the pool and sea.
My husband and I ended our week with a great massage if I'd known it was going to be so good I would have had more. We had many a pleasant walk both on the flat and uphill to a nearby monastery.
We arrived home today after a truly great holiday we will visit again. Thanks to the staff.

Upon arrival to hotel we entered a nice clean lobby area and were greeted by warm and friendly staff.
We were directed to the dining hall and had a lovely lunch.
The food was fresh and there was lots of choice both hot and cold.
There were also plenty of tables to choose from and the room was light and airy with outside balconies also available for outside dining.
Following lunch we checked in and our room was clean with fresh linen on the bed and nicely furnished
The room had a fridge but no kettle
We took a travel kettle so that we could have an early morning coffee in our room
During the holiday staff were helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and offered info about different trips etc , just really helpful
We enjoyed light all inclusive meals with lots of variety of tasty food lovely cakes and also ice cream drinks included at meal times and also a packed meal for our journey to the airport as we were leaving at 6am for our transfer.
Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels left or the option not to be disturbed if you so wished
I would just like to thank all of the staff for making our holiday a very pleasant stay

The rooms in the hotel are a little tired and could do with a makeover, our room smelt a little damp so we kept the patio doors open as much as possible., don’t think the hotel is worth 4 stars. We had a great view from our balcony overlooking the pool and the beach. The pool is big and kept very clean, there are plenty of sun beds to go round and if not the beach is right on the doorstep. We found the restaurant food adequate but a little bit like a school Canteen, if you can get a table outside it’s much better and quieter although smoking is allowed so you find yourself enveloped in smoke while your eating your meal, I really think smoking should be banned in all eating areas. We did enjoy our stay and overall the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hi, I could only give my probably uninformed opinion but there are a number of steps in and around the hotel although there are lifts to all floors, it would be best if you contacted the Hotel directly for more information as they are very helpful. The pathway along the sea front to Orebic and the harbour is not wheelchair friendly as the concrete path is narrow in places and has raised and broken areas which would be a problem. It is a beautiful place to visit and I hope you can find somewhere suitable, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Either or! We booked half board with the intention of eating out occasionally. There is not a huge number of restaurants but I thought there was sufficient whilst we were there in June. You’ve also got Korcula, a fifteen minute ferry trip where there’s probably too many restaurants but a great dining experience.

The hotel can but as the hotel is quite a way away from the hotel it can be expensive. I strongly suggest you book transport with your travel agency when you book the holiday as few agencies travel to that area.
