Perfect Location in the center of Orebić and the promenade, helpful and welcoming service. Inside terrace and garden are great for a summmer lunch or dinner and street terrace with a sea view is used for breakfast. Private parking is near by and is a great bonus.
Orebić is a charming town and the hotel Mimbelli is a small charming hotel near the centre of the town. The rooms are charming and clean. We enjoyed our stay on the Pelješac peninsula. The staff in the hotel is friendly and helpful. If we are talking about drawbacks, rooms are suited above the restaurant so if the restaurant terrasse is full it could be noisy, Also the parking place is unusual and difficult to find. It is also very difficult to find the hotel as it is located in the centre of the town where you can not get in with the car!
My wife and I had a fantastic time in Orebic, and this hotel played a major part in it. We took a family holiday in Orebic, to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday and 32 of us decended on this little village. We were scattered in various hotels, but the 2 of us stayed here. It is a nice quiet hotel with a great restaurant, to which the whole family came to, one evening for a party for my wife. Lydia, super waitress, organised everything, including getting a cake made on the premise, for the party. We ate, drank and were merry, as the saying goes. We all had a ball, and our stay here was just perfect. Great food, great staff and an all around great place to visit.
This charming hotel is perfectly located on the waterfront, with clean comfortable rooms and a nice restaurant below. The service was excellent and we felt like they truly cared about us having an enjoyable stay. A friend had left a bottle of birthday wine for placement in our room and not only was it left, but it was artfully arranged with a sign and glasses - a really special touch! The breakfast at the restaurant was big and delicious with made to order eggs and all the sides. Our server Lidija was so much fun. Her sense of humor was the highlight of our stay. When in Orebic - definitely stay at Hotel Mimbelli!
Great little hotel right across from the water, and also has attached restaurant. "Lydia" (spelling not quite accurate) was a great, funny, and charming waitress who also checked us into our hotel. As in most cities we visited in Croatia, pretty much everyone speaks good English and Hotel & Restaurant Mimbelli were no exception! We travel quite a bit to Europe and from our experience, we would definitely stay here again if planning to visit Orebic!
We stayed at Mimbelli Hotel for 7 nights. We spent our family vacation here, 4 adults and a 19 month old baby. Our stay at the Mimbelli was OUTSTANDING! Extremely clean rooms, the most wonderful staff, excellent food and above all waterfront view made this vacation unforgetable! All accomodations were superb, towel service, room service, hospitality, all we needed was right here at the Mimbelli! We will be back for sure, Orebic is wonderful and the Mimbelli hotel is our top spot at Peljesac from now on! Bursac and Vidojevic family
I bit difficult to find as neither my GPS nor Google Maps could find it, but if you are driving just get to the waterfront "street" and it's near the middle of that. Nice clean hotel with excellent service. My room was a little small but the bed was comfortable and dinner and breakfast were very good. Recommended.
We were extremely please with our lovely lunch we had at Restaurant Mimbelli. I tried something that sounded so unusual yet was so very tasty that I had to ask the server to get me the recipe. It was a spinach Tagliatelle with chicken, oranges and raisins. Yummers!!!! Most other restaurants along the waterfront were closed as we were there off season, but we were lucky to find this one open. My husband had the grilled squid and raved about that too. I would highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Orebic.
We stayed in rooms 2, 3 and 5. All rooms are very different, in shape and colour. If you like pink, choose room 3. If you want a view of the promenade, choose room 2 (probably the nicest room of the three). I stayed upstairs, room 5, and it was perfect. It also has a big bathroom, which I like. You take breakfast in front of the hotel; one can choose whatever you would like, fruits, coffees, any style of eggs, bacon, jam etc. at no extra cost.
First the pros--the hotel is very much in the center of wherever you want to be in Orebic. The staff, the cleanliness, the restaurant, and especially the breakfast were all excellent. The cons--the room was the size of a postage stamp. Once our luggage was laid out, we could hardly move--and we are not large people. Trust me, I have stayed in some very small hotel rooms in 50 years of travelling Europe, but those were were low budget places. Here, you're paying top dollar, and getting bottom dollar size. We planned to stay longer, but decided to move on.
