My husband and I recently spent one night at the Cityhotel on a trip through Austria. We had no idea what to expect of Sankt Polten and were delighted to find a very attractive, mostly pedestrian historic area which is just 5 minutes walk from this hotel. The hotel itself was a really positive surprise. The front portion is a... More

A nice hotel in a good location. Room was a decent size and also quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food at hotel prices. Great buffet breakfast selection. Secure car parking is also available for 10 euros per night.

We stayed here for first stop of a week Europe business trip last June 2016. A very basic accommodation. Newly refurbished rooms. Very clean facility. There is a bar/resto near the lobby/reception. Food is okay. The morning breakfast has good hot/cold selection. Friendly hotel staff.

I ve stayed many times in this hotel, it is very quiet and clean, perfect place to spend some nights in Sankt Polten. The service is good and fast. The wi-fi connection could cause you headache from time to time.

We stayed here for a week straddling the end of June and beginning of July 2016 and what an enjoyable week it was. I should add, based on other reviews for this hotel, that, by chance, we selected a week that was very quiet and the hotel was not particularly busy. The hotel is modern and clean, well designed and... More

Nothing bad about this hotel. Super quiet rooms and very clean. My only complaint was that the Internet struggled to work for myself and all my work colleagues during our stay and it was due to the fact that the hotel was at near maximum capacity.

I arrived at the hotel quite late in the evening and was received warmly by the friendly staff. The checkin process was quick, and I was given very clear directions to my room. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities that one requires on a business trip. The wifi was good. As an early riser, I... More

arrived late at night and left early in the morning before breakfast was served but they offered me a packed lunch/snack which was a nice touch. Bed super comfortable, slept like a baby but may have been due to driving 1400kms in one hit. Word of warning your GPS might have you driving in circles, I had the latest map... More

The hotel is comfortable with rooms that are of a high standard. Its part old and part very modern. The reception staff were taciturn and unhelpful. They did not advise that it was necessary to reserve a table in the restaurant thus when we arrived to eat we were told it was full and had to eat in uncomfortable circumstances... More

Yes, there is no air-conditioning, or at least none in many rooms with an air-conditioner, leading to false hopes. this makes it unbearable in Summer. We were a large group and many of us did not sleep much...the staff are helpful, the decor is pleasing, the breakfast is ok, nothing lavish. The fact that you need your card to enter... More
