this was a third visit to Rust but the first time staying in the town. previously stayed a few miles away. Hotel was ok with an indoor pool, and a short walk to get a boat for the lake. But nowhere near as good as St Martin's Therme. Breakfast was chaotic, with the junior chef trying to prepare omelettes but... More

We arrived here without a reservation and they found us a room - which was great, but after all, that is what hotels are supposed to do. The fact is that this place is really set up for week-long stays for Austrians/Germans who come here for the walking, riding, use of the lake etc. It is not designed for the... More

This hotel is a really nice place to stay. Some improvements could be made, indeed. However, it is clean and humanly big. What I mean by that?! Well, if you are a busy person, travelling a lot and sick of "glass and steel", than this is a small hotel with just few floors but enough space for your rest. I... More

I had lunch alone here on the balcony. The waiter seemed "tired" to say the least. The food was really great, which made up for the service. I had the spinach soup with coconut mild and a flan- out of broccoli with fresh tomatoe sauce. Very very good. plus a glass of wine- made less than 20 Euros which was... More

First things first, we'd stay here again and wouldn't stay don't. It's a well appointed hotel, recently refurbished to a good standard, particularly the bedrooms. There's a new leisure centre and nice grounds Rust is a quiet, very pleasant town well positioned for walking/cycling. This Is reflected in the Hotel itself which is quiet. Our reservations would be centred on... More

Went to the Seehotel in the middle of November, great and quiet place, was driving a Burgenland tour with guest from Switzerland. We had lunch there, very good kitchen and my guest had a excellent wine from the city of Rust, a Grün Veltliner - you should try it out

Amazing location on the bench of the lake, 3 minute walking distance from the main square in Rust. Hotel has it's own berth, where you can rent an electro boat (€13 per hour). Also bicycles are available for rent (€12 per day, kids bikes are free of charge). There is a big playground near the hotel. Hotel was renovated in... More

One of the prettiest towns in Burgenland, real Storks nesting on many rooftops with fine wine houses to taste and buy wines plus the Neusiedlersee for boat rides, sailing etc. Our 3rd visit to eat at the Hotel. Sorry couldn't resist another wiener Schnitzel €12.90, bio pork - Schwein ( they served 2 per portion ). My partner was more... More

I was lucky to get a perfect room with lake view, appropriate wifi signal and balcony with parasol& 2 sundecks (room number 204!) - I truly enjoyed there a sunshine during the day and stars during the night! Room was clean, well equiped. Breakfast with, let say, limited selection, but what was available, were fresh and tasty. Surrounding very quiet... More

I stayed in Seehotel Rust in July 2013 and once earlier in 2009. Since Rust offers only a limited number of things to see, the hotel must be very good to attract people. The hotel is located right next to the Neusiedlersee. Rooms went through a dramatic change since 2009, all furniture is brand new, AC in rooms, new bathrooms.... More
