You want an incredible experience on every front. The staff is stunningly thoughtful efficient kind authentic and fun. The quality of the food is as good as your favorite foodie restaurant. The presentation is beautiful, creative, local, healthy and interesting. The rainforest that you are literally looking out from your decks is hard to describe with its vitality and beauty, loaded with amazing interesting birds, butterflies, flowers and sounds. Yes this place requires four-wheel-drive to get to. But it’s worth every bit of the journey to get here. We have been blessed to have visited many hotels around the world. This one has created an experience that is hard to believe. The owners Mark and Marlo are truly wonderful hosts. They worked so hard with me with in my gazillion different questions I had pre-arrival. And since we’ve arrived they have been so thoughtful. Marlo also provided an incredible on-site yoga experience. We are yoga rookies and we had such a fun time with Marlo. They helped arrange a very active itinerary for us which has been stunningly fun. This location in Costa Rica has so much to offer. If you want to just hang out at the resort you absolutely could. We are pretty active in this place is provided us with lots of options. Get ready for an experience like none other. John

Hotel's Favorite
This was our third stay at Rancho Pacifico but it had been 10 years since my wife and I had visited. The two previous stays were outstanding so expectations were super high. We knew ownership had changed and the resort had gone through a few changes so we were a bit concerned our experience wouldn't be as memorable as our previous stays. Let's just say our 4 days at RP this time around far exceeded our expectations. We arrived early evening and were quickly met by friendly and familiar staff and escorted to our room. We stayed in the Pinuelas suite and everything about it was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower and tub were amazing, and we loved the wet bar tucked in the closet that included a small fridge. The small touches were really nice as well - beautiful flower arrangement, covered balcony, air-conditioning, umbrellas right outside the room. The best part about the room though was the view and privacy, yet it's only a few steps away from the pool and restaurant. We spent a lot of our time at RP lounging in the hot tub and pool while enjoying the wonderful fresh food and drinks at the restaurant. Those areas are right next to each other and have been remodeled since our last visit. They did an incredible job retaining the natural beauty and views while creating a very modern and open space that's extremely comfortable. What makes RP so magical for us are the staff members. They're truly like family. Steven, Maria, Vianney, Alex, Andrey, and everyone else we encountered are the absolute best. They're genuinely helpful and really took our experience to the next level. A few things to keep in mind. We always rent a 4x4 SUV and I absolutely love the drive up the mountain to Rancho Pacifico but it's probably not for everyone. It's about a 10-15 minute drive straight up from the town of Uvita. The dirt road is bumpy, steep, and winding. Also, the town of Uvita is great. Lots of good restaurants and amazing people. There are a few hikes around the property. The waterfall hike is a short, steep trail but totally worth it. We spent a good hour just hanging out in the river and playing in the waterfall. Lastly, keep in mind RP is in the jungle so you're going to experience critters, humidity, and other elements. It's all part of the Costa Rican experience.

Marlo and Mark have a gem! They are gracious, the views are spectacular, the food was delicious! Every member of the staff was exceptional. With Mark and Marlo’s recommendation, we did waterfall rappelling, yoga, sea kayaking and mangrove tour. Fabulous from start to finish. Loved it.

Rancho Pacifico is an Incredible Resort! I am not sure there are any words to truly describe our experience. We stayed for 6 nights in the Mono Congo Tree House. It was beautiful, waking up each morning to views of the Jungle and ocean were beyond Amazing. One of the most relaxing, enjoyable vacation spots I have ever visited. The staff were all amazing. Food was beyond amazing, so good we didn't want to eat anywhere else! And the grounds were just beautiful. We didn't do a lot of tours but the few we did the staff was great at making reservations for us. If you rent a car make sure it is a 4wd as the climb to the property is a bit harsh at first, especially in the dark, but after a few times you get used to it. Can't wait to return and can't wait to send family and friends!

We went back to Rancho Pacifico a second time, about 10 years behind the first trip. New owners Mark and Marlo took a place we remembered to be great to even better. Fresh new accommodations and common areas coupled with the highest level of customer service one can achieve in Costa Rica. If you’re looking for a spot to have a unique, classy, and peaceful vacation with someone you love this is the spot. Fabulous rooms, views, food, and drinks!
