My wife and I came to RP to celebrate our honeymoon together and we cannot recommend the experience enough. The staff is incredible, the views are immaculate, and the days are full of unparalleled experiences. We highly recommend the all-inclusive dining package as part of your stay, as the meals are an experience and highlight in and of themselves. Each night’s 4-course dinner is truly an event and an occasion to look forward to. The servers Andrey and Marlon as well as the bartender Vianney ensure that every meal and drink is accompanied with the best service in Costa Rica. Our trip was 5 nights, with 4 full days for activities. We felt this was a great amount of time for us to be able to do everything we wanted on our vacation, while also allowing us to enjoy time together at the resort. The spa is a MUST visit. Costa Rica has amazing excursion options for the adventurous and he concierge staff can do a great job of helping you select what activities would be best for you, as well as arrange all transportation if you don’t have a rental car. We relied on RP for all our transportation and were always satisfied with how they had a car waiting for us. We also loved that we were able to be passengers in the car as the driver made the trek up the mountain each trip, which is no small feat! On our trip, we enjoyed the waterfall repelling and zip-lining, which were both excellent excursions for us. In addition, we enjoyed trips to Whale Tail Beach and the private waterfall trail that RP has on-site. Whale Tail Beach is cool to see from the dining platform and we did enjoy hammocking along the beach there, although I wouldn’t say it is a must-do if you’re a beach lover. Going down to the private waterfall was a fun way to spend an hour or so one afternoon. We also enjoyed being able to relax poolside in the lounge chairs. The best thing about RP is absolutely the service that the entire staff provides. From before we arrived, the concierge staff (big shoutout to Dylan, Noelia, and Arbid) was super accommodating to arrange transportation from San Jose and book a couple’s massage for our first full day before we could have the chance to get sunburned! We enjoyed amazing food, lovely coffee/cocktails, and always had fresh water with lime for when we were lounging in the main area. Vianney makes amazing cocktails and it was always our goal to make happy hour each day to spend time watching the sun go down over the ocean, enjoy the new concoction of the day, and sample a small bite of chips and dip before the main dinnner event. Every time we ventured up from our treehouse, there was a staff member who would greet us and ask how our day was. Steven noticed our love of coffee and sent us home with some authentic grounds from his family’s coffee farm. The main deck has a handful of games you can borrow but I’d recommend bringing cards or a book to be able to sit and enjoy for extended periods of rest. The rooms themselves are all unique and iconic in their own way. We enjoyed staying in the Puma treehouse with a private jacuzzi and two lounge chairs on our patio deck overlooking the rainforest. I seriously don’t think I’ll ever have a shower with a better view. For our June stay, the sun would rise early and the howler monkeys would start their morning congress usually along with it, typically around 5 am. While earlier than we’d normally arise, the natural sunlight as an early alarm clock worked well for us, as our offsite excursions usually began at 6:30 or 7:00. If we didn’t have a 7am excursion, we’d join breakfast right at open at 7:00 and enjoy the amazing breakfast and coffee bar. If we did have an excursion, RP would pack granola/yogurt in our mini fridge the night before so we could eat before or on our ride to waterfall repelling/zip-lining. The housekeeping staff comes often and they managed to keep our Treehouse almost completely bug free! You are in the rainforest so critters are to be expected but they did such a great job of making sure towels and sheets were replaced multiple times each day and the floors were always clean to return to. If you choose to book with the honeymoon package, you will love the perks! The private dinner is truly special and we loved being treated to mimosas at breakfast the morning of our first day. I could go on about how much we enjoyed our stay. It was an ideal honeymoon and Rancho Pacifico showed us the meaning of Pura Vida. We hope to return one day and make new amazing memories!…
