The good: - the hostel is located in a quiet area about 10 mins walk from the main street - big kitchen - friendly host (the grandma, rest didn't really peak to me) - near the waterfall (about 15 mins up hill) - near a small creek The bad: - near a small creek: mosquitoes galore - kitchen with little...

A fantastic place to stay close to the waterfall. Very clean and well kept, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, the kitchen is large and well equipped, the owners are incredibly friendly and there was even a resident baby sloth when I stayed as well as visiting toucans and hummingbirds. There´s a cheaper rate for long term stays, too.

I stayed here for almost a whole month, and it was extremely convenient in every way. They gave me reasonable weekly rates. Plenty of people came and went for just weekends, though, so it's good for short term or long term stays. It's right down the road from the town of Uvita, so it's a good choice if you're in...

We just returned from Uvita from a service trip to work at Forjando Alas, the student center run by Kids' Foundation for Uniting Nations, which is right around the corner across from the school. This year, we had 13 teenagers and 4 adults and Mari, Dalila and Julio all took such great care of all of us. She is the...

I've read the other reviews and nobody seems to have mentioned that it is so hard to find!! The building is about another 100 down the road from where Google maps implies, and on the other side. It's set behind a large 'barn' full of timber. Once you have found it the rooms are big and clean. Set next to...

We had a wonderful time here! Other reviewers have described it well. Julio and Mari were amazing hosts and really made us feel welcomed and comfortable in their guesthouse. They even invited us to sit down for coffee and a chat and helped us practice our limited spanish. It was so nice to have a chance to get to know...

Very Quite and lots of friendly people. I was in the right place to rest, Mari-Sama is very sweet and she knows a lot about the town, so she was kind like our guide through the jungle. We were in a perpetual state of peace.

We were looking for place to spend a day and a night on the way north from Osa and this was a lovely place for this. It took us a couple of passes by the place till we found it, because we missed the sign. The hosts are a very nice family (the elder daughter was staying at the room...

Mari & Julio are amazing hosts, very friendly and we felt like at home. You'll be surrounded with toucans howler monkeys - among...

Mari is simply super nice, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are clean and the common area is large and makes for a great place to congregate and meet other people. I highly recommend this place based on the price, location, and overall experience. The beaches in the area are great and check out Uvita Waterfall which is an awesome blue...
