I have booked Kura based on the amazing reviews that I have read online, but I had absolutely no IDEA HOW INCREDIBLE THIS HOTEL AND THE SERVICE WAS GOING TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't imagine it, nor picture it until you experience it. This is a 8-room Hotel, extremely exclusive with a staff that is at your entire service. They thought of every single detail possible!! For each excursion (whale tour, horseback riding tour) not only did they plan a car with a driver to bring you and take you back, but also food for you to take with you in case you get hungry, wet towels if your hands get dirty and welcome back drinks each time!! Sergio from the restaurant is beyond amazing! So friendly and so willing to do all that he can to make sure your dining experience is memorable. Manual is beyond amazing as well, I loved their banana cake in the morning and the morning of the day I left, the chef and him printed me the recipe without me asking anything! Douglas and Ismael (the 2 Concierges) are the most helpful workers and always smiling that I have every experienced and I do travel a lot around the world. The SPA is just a pure Blissful moment of relaxation in the middle of the jungles and you immediately feel taken to another world of serenity. We strongly recommend Yendry for hot stone, Marcella for Deep Tissue and Lisbet was good as well for Deep Tissue. The rooms are stunning and the housekeeping service is so discreet and amazing I have never seen this. The only and I would really mean the only downside, is the road to go up and down from the hotel. We don't recommend renting a car, it is way too challenging to do this road... and also if you are car sick, well, make sure you know what you are doing before booking at Kura, because the road to go up is quite long (20-25 min) and it's rocky and challenging. Thank you the KURA team for making of this long weekend the best we have had in a long time!!!

Hotel's Favorite
We recently returned form our stay at Kura and LOVED everything about our experience - except that we couldn't stay longer! We stayed in one of the 2 Master Suites with the infinity pool - and it was definitely worth the splurge. With 180 degree plus unobstructed views of the pacific ocean, it was difficult to leave the pool/poolside area! During the day, we had spectacular weather. Late afternoons brought a variety of weather systems, that we watched move across the ocean from multiple sides. Then, at night, after dinner, we star gazed. The pools are set to 'cool' during the morning/day and by late afternoon they automatically change to warmer temps. Delightful! Breakfast and dinners were delicious - fresh and varied. For such a small hotel the food was incredible. We also enjoyed the 'ceviche' class one afternoon. The staff from start to finish do everything & anything to make all aspects of your stay flawless. You had privacy when you wanted it and top notch service whenever you requested it. The room/shower were also terrific. Especially at night - when your turn down service included the white gauzy curtains drawn around the bedroom portion and the entire suite romantically lit by tall candles. We met several couples of varying ages and hands done - everyone was having a 5 star experience. We were there to celebrate my boyfriend's 60th and it was the perfect choice. Thanks for a wonderful vacation leaving us wanting to return soon!

It was our first time in Costa Rica and this hotel with its excellent staff and outstanding service made our trip truly memorable. I have no words to express how incredible this experience was and it exceeded out expecations by far. Its an adult only couple resort and perfect for an unforgettable honeymoon. Very exclusive and private property with only 8 suites. Our mastersuite was incredible with a plunge pool and stunning views. My favourite part was the double rainshower and the bathroom with a view. It offers all amentities that you need for an amazing stay. The food was delicious and the staff amazing. We felt at home from the time we arrived and sad when it was time to say goodbye. We will defo be back very soon. Pura Vida

Looking to escape from your everyday life? This is the place to achieve the ultimate high end break/vacation. I booked this place for our 20th wedding anniversary. First of all upon arrival you are greeted by members of staff that are waiting to welcome you in the most friendliest of ways, you get an insight into the hotel and a bit of an history lesson about Costa Rica (which is a really nice country by the way) All the staff are very professional and obviously very proud to work at the hotel (all local people) You get to know the staff personally (by name) and they go above and beyond in every aspect. This has to be the one of the most sensational hotels we have ever stayed in, Shangri-La in the rain forest. The views are outstanding and the hotel is set at the top of a mountain overlooking the southern Pacific coast (whale tail) All the reviews are absolutely 100% accurate. We spent our time relaxing in and around the infinity pool and bar area. Range of drinks and cocktails are impressive and the staff again will do anything to meet your requirements. The hotel has a fantastic spa and a first-class restaurant. Although there is a menu the staff get to know what you like and personally discuss your requirements with the chef. Fantastic service. The room is exceptionally clean and spacious. Very private and sublime views over the forest. The design of the hotel is unbelievable and very well thought out. We love you Kurà. Definitely will come back again. Ps: I know there is a lot of staff who I have missed out but special thanks to: Sergio Cindy Jay Douglas Ismael Laura Richard Silva Diana And all the receptionist, chefs, grounds persons and other staff (apologies for not naming you personally) Massive thanks for making this a memorable unforgettable holiday. Lots of love Ann and David from the UK

We had the great pleasure to experience the Kura Design boutique hotel during our stay in Uvita. 1 night clearly was too short but we nevertheless tried to make the most of our stay in this wonderful place! The adult only hotel spécialises in hosting couples and honeymooners. The lovely staff is really making sure all your needs are met and that you are having a fantastic time. The bar serves very good cocktails by the incredible infinite pool with a view on the sea and the valley. Watching sunset from there is very unique! The 8 rooms are each very spacious and well designed, all having a great terrace and a comfortable hammock to relax in. Regarding the food, both dinner and breakfast totally met our expectations, the menu having a strong Mediterranean influence and great taste! The place is relatively pricey but clearly worth the experience!
