After 2 weeks in hostel/dormitory we decided to spend a bit more money for a twin room to have our confort. During the night two cats jumped on my friend's bed and start fighting as hell. Imagine the sound during the night..! I grabbed one and put it outside, there the guard dog run after me and bit my pants.... More

Dear Clementine, thanks for your review! Here is my version: Yes, we do have cats in our hostel, yes, they can visit you in your room - we need them, we live in the jungle, they take care for snakes, scorpios, spiders etc. (killed a very venomous coral snake the other day)... That's why we send out a bilingual confirmation... More

We've only spent one night in Cascada Verde, but if we had known the wonderful place it is we would probably have stayed much much longer. It is like a gigantic tree house like the ones you've always wanted as a child. It is silent and immersed in the green, the sound of the waterfall and the forest are so... More

They told us on arrival that they would rather not have us. But we arrived late so we couldn't really go anywhere else. They named a list of 1000 rules and then allowed us to stay for a night. When we went for dinner at 21:00, we had to search for an atm and a restaurant for a long time... More

Thanks again for your review! I'm so sorry - we were the wrong hostel for you but I told you when you arrived. We would have helped you finding you another place if you would have asked. Please stop writing wrong things about us. I will report this review, too. Best regards. More

I would not recommend this place if you are a backpacker and looking for a nice place. Why? It's more like a family hotel with a lot of rules and negativity. To be honest; the rooms, kitchen and view were amazing. It's a beautiful place and that makes it even more unfortunate. The service was very bad. Even when you... More

When our taxi driver towards the hostel told us he did not recommend the place for multiple reasons we should have listened. As showed on booking.com we arrived to a beautiful lodge in the middle of the jungle, and even though it was raining we liked the place immediately. Having found the owner we asked for rooms to stay in,... More

I came here for one night. Wish I could have stayed longer. Seems family friendly and has a great kitchen and spectacular view into the jungle. Very affordable. Try the hammock after a hot day. The place has a lot of open space so be prepared to be social. Will come back some day if possible. Pura vida!

This is the kind of place that makes you feel like you aren't staying in a hostel. It has great bamboo and wood architecture and all of it is totally open to the surrounding forest. I was able to spot quite a few birds flying by including toucans from one of the many breakfast tables. The hostel also goes above... More

We stayed in a private room on the ground floor. It was clean and had a private washroom, but it wasn't anything special. What's special about this place is the common areas with their beautiful views of the surrounding jungle. The shared kitchen was big and clean, with all the appliances and utilities you could need.

This is for sure the most beautiful Hostel I've ever visited. The balcony is superb, and give a magnificent view on the beautiful garden. We were lucky to see our first Tucan here. Upstairs you are asked to walk bare-feet which adds to the great feel since all floors are polished. There are several cosy places to hang in a... More
