We had Total relaxation for 10 days here. We were in the rooms ( 1 of 6 ) with fab views of sea . Took books & mags to read . Food really good and well priced V clean indeed . Staff v friendly and felt safe . The locals selling items didn’t come into the private beach however would try to sell items on other beaches. Not overbearing and if do take no fir an answer . Not a lot going on there so if you re easily bored take something like cards , books etc . We hired a car plus there were excursions so not a problem for us . Nothing a problem for staff Hakunamatata
Lovely bungalows in a nice setting. Bungalws are very spacious and clean. Staff are all wonderful , friendly and helpfull. Meals are good (best marinated tuna I ever had) and reasonbly priced. This a very small hotel (25 guests ,I think) . The place is very quiet, great if that's what you want. You will be in bed at 9.30 ! Better bring some good books. The whole area is very windy , some times extremely windy. Tides are a problem, you will need to rely on the hotel pool for most of the time. Great little hotel if you are a Vietnam vet and need complete R & R.
Excellent week in one of the best place of Zanzibar, quite, intime, good cuisine and excellent hospitality. A special thanks to the Manager Juma and the restaurant supervisor Anna, who really made the difference. They have always been available starting from the first welcome, following us day by day on each and every request, Solving problems or inconveniences , always with a big smile till the departure. Thank you very very much indeed Juma and Anna and wish you and your staff all the very best :)
What a gem of a location and resort. small resort with just 6 thatched bungalows and 6 apartments opening up over the pool and beach. No children, quiet and beautiful grounds Every property had its own sun beds, the pool was excellent, good size for a good swim. Breakfast was included, the restaurant overlooking to beach and sea, great choice and lovely friendly staff. We had dinner at the restaurant every night - the food was outstanding, great choice from menu with specials every day. Nothing was too much for them. The beach/sea here was very interesting, when tide was out local ladies were harvesting seaweed and brining it ashore to sell. Lots of small fishing boats - was so interesting We will definitely go back to this resort
Our stay at Belvedere resort was wonderful! It's a tropical paradise. The set-up of this resort is a pleasure to the eye. Wooden bungalows, big private beach, lots of beautify flowers and an infinity pool. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The bungalow was absolutely beautiful, had sea-view and an open air bathroom with flowerbeds and blossoms. A serene spa-like setting. The bed was super comfortable. You could hear the sound of the waves inside the bungalow, which was very relaxing. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals. It is such a picture-perfect setting that you almost don't wanna leave the property, and just wanna hang out on the comfortable sunloungers under full-shade parasols, gazing at the azure sea. When you finally are ready to explore more of the island, the staff can arrange all kinds of tours for you, like snorkelling, dolphin watching, spice tour, scooter rental etc. Or you can just take a walk or run along the beach. The resort has 6 bungalows and 6 rooms, which means has a very private feel. It's a very romantic setting. When we arrived at the resort, and saw how beautiful it is, we found this was the perfect spot for us to have a small private wedding ceremony. We told the manager about our plan, and they helped us arrange a simple ceremony, exactly as we wanted: with our feet in the sand, overlooking the beautiful ocean, in the pretty flower-rimmed pergola. We are so happy we chose this place for this special occasion. We enjoyed every moment at Belverde Resort, and we hope to be back!…
Quiet, tranquil and serene …… Bang on the beach sit several rustic, spacious, beautifully appointed beach huts. This small resort is well loved by its owners, the attention to detail inside the huts is first class, from the well manicured outdoor bathroom gardens to the crisp bedding and soft beach towels. The restaurant and bar served lovely food and reasonably priced. Only negatives was no AC but wasn’t needed and fans were available. Also be prepared when on the beach to be hassled by groups of young children asking for money. Highly recommended if you want a quiet, restful break …… there are a couple of more lively pool bars along the beach if you need more in terms of entertainment. All in all an absolute pleasure to stay here and would recommend to all.
The owner was the most rude an doesn’t racist person I ever meant in my life, she was very sarcastic to us as a black couples staying for 2 days in the place, the staffs were so scare of her that we won’t even talk to the guest. Zanzibar is a beautiful place but sad that management like her make our stay horrible… please be mindful before booking this property
I’m sitting on a sofa (old local boat) next to the white sandy beach of Jambiani; waves from the high tide and the wind in the palm trees the only sound reaching my ears and my relaxed soul. I used to live in Zanzibar 20 years ago, and was a little worried that the island would have changed too much - I was nicely surprised! Me and my husband have re-explored on scooter, by car and walking a lot. There are changes, but not too big, and we have loved every minute! And Belvedere Resort; what a gem! Have stayed almost 2 weeks now - don’t want to leave! We cannot find anything to complain about. Love the close- to- nature design! Top cleanliness! We feel totally safe, also on the long beach walks and in the village. The food is great! Staff … well, I wouldn’t mind working together with you! You are both friendly and correct! We appreciate the respect shown for the village , and we have so much enjoyed many interesting talks with the zanzibari and masai we have met. Thank you all! We will be back!…
Fantastic Hotel and staff We had such a great time there the highlight of our 3 week stay on the island. Great location, magnific view and the smiling staff.. The restaurant is also a must..I am missing already the seafood platter.. And overall we are already missing this place..we will be back for sure
Meh. Beautiful setting for sure but very sterile feeling. If you are looking for warmth, charm, authenticity, there are numerous better options in Jambiani. Also very exposed to the sun. If you want shade, you won’t find it here. Stop for a co cjtail maybe but you’d be better off staying elsewhere.
