First Time Holiday in Zanzibar Coming from an African Country, my expectations were honestly not set high. I knew most of the things here will be familiar to what I had back at home...boy I was wrong. Upon my arrival in the wee early hours of Sunday morning, I was greeted by the friendliest smile. Nahid checked me in swiftly and made sure my bags were taken to the room (did not even ask for this to be done). The next day was met with more friendly smiles from all the resort staff. It remained like this though and through. Some other mentions; Food is good. Housekeeping is some of the best I have seen. Mango and Jetty Bar is always fun. Entertainment and jokes are a plenty. The spa is a must go to experience. I will reccomend all to visit this lovely resort. It is my first time but definetly wont be my last. I wish I could thank all the staff personally one by one for giving me the best holiday but I know the amazing management team will do that for me. All my love and best wishes. A really amazing place, I offer to everyone who would like to have a perfect holiday. Bungalow was clean and tidy, all inclusive was perfect, either food or drinks, staff is very kind and helpful, they organized us all of our excursions, like Spice farm, Prison Island with Stone town, Cuza cave, Rock Restaurant, swimming with dolphins and snorkeling by Nakupenda. The beach and sightseeing is wonderful, but the pools are super, too! Wifi is not available everywhere, but at the reception is perfect!
We organized a group holiday to Zanzibar, we contacted Reef and Beach directly rather then dealing with third parties. We dealt with a staff member called Loveness who was incredible to deal with and helped us organize everything perfectly. The amenities at this resort are exceptional you will want for nothing it has amazing rooms and breath taking views with pools and a very short walk to the beach which is off the back of the dock. All of the staff at the resort were so helpful we had such an amazing time there. One of our party lost an item in the room at check out and it was returned to us by the time we traveled home. Amazing service, I would gladly recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Zanzibar
We decided on this hotel for our honeymoon. There were many others to choose from, but the Jetty Bar sold it for me. Everything was amazing and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were great, there was a good variety of food at every meal and always tasty. The pool areas were fabulous, although it was sometimes difficult to find a lounger at the smaller pool. We spent most of our time at the bigger pool and of course, the Jetty Bar for a swim. We also loved the Mango Bar and the lovely beach next to it. The monkeys were so adorable and of course, the cats too! Thank goodness for the A/C in the bedroom! I don't think I could have slept without it. Zanzibar is really very humid, but it was an amazing experience and on the days that we didn't go on an excursion, which was organized by Roja, we simply relaxed at the pool and it was absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend this hotel and if we should ever go back to Zanzibar, we would happily stay there again.…
We stayed a week at the beginning of March. It is pretty isolated so perfect for a relaxing holiday. The resort is super clean and tidy. Food: they have only one buffet restaurant (2 floors) and set times for meals. There is always something for anyone (vegetarian, vegan) and the food is tasty. Drinks: there is a fixed time for drinks too. The cocktails on the all inclusive package are based on exotic fruits - not bad. Local beer is available and soft drinks too. Entertainment: there is always something organised for the evening like live music or traditional dance and the animators organise activities during the day. Rooms: modest but clean and spacious. Air Conditioning working perfectly. Highlight: Jetty Bar. It is located at the end of a pier and its simply amazing at all times of the day. You can drink, listen to music, sunbathe, swim, sleep, play their board game... it has all! People: everyone is very nice and they greet you with a smile. I am not giving 5 stars only because of a couple of things: electricity was off for like 30 mins every day and at some point only air conditioning was not working. They got it fixed pretty quickly though. Wifi is good only in certains areas. Coffee is a big disappointment. Beds next to small pool are always busy and there is not enough shade. After 11pm they stop serving drinks unless you pay.…
That was an amazing experience! Everything: food accommodation, staff service was on very good level. Super friendly people working there and that was making our stay really comfortable. They are kind smiling and always happy. Also very helpful with all topics that you need. They offer also a lot of activities like streaching, valleyball, they offer to show you local village in good price etc. I wish to back there soon.
Amazing hotel, Beautifull wievs, Super tasty food, kind personnel. I really recommend and I hope I will come back. Tony, animator is amazing parson who care about guest as a super friendly host. Rooms are humble but clean. Funny is that there aren’t doors to the bathroom :p
Our family had a fantastic time at the Reef & Beach resort Jambiani! Overall - Fantastic hotel, fantastic people, fantastic location - would absolutely recommend to friends and family. A week is good, 10 days would be better but looking forward to visiting again in the future! People: The resort is staffed by warm and wonderful people willing to go above and beyond to help ensure a great holiday. All the staff - from reception (Farid, Mr Maasai, Rajeb), to entertainment (Tony, Selena), to restaurant (John and team) and the chefs (Sebastian, Hamad and teams!) and the Mango Bar (Jackson and crew). Besides the core hotel team, the on-site excursions team (Roja, Julius and Captain), the Diving (Salim) and the Spa (Tamer and team - including Miriam) - every single person we met was super helpful! Not to forget Biatta and Catia who have done a fantastic job with the team and the resort! As one of our group had limited mobility, we were able to borrow a wheelchair from the hotel which really made a huge difference as we could all be together and enjoy the family holiday. Location: The hotel is located about 1h20 from the airport. It is relatively secluded there are no directly adjacent hotels next to it The hotel is very close to the Jozani national park area and as such has a few walkways through mangroves and also the red colobus monkeys are local residents and regulary visible on the hotel grounds! (do not touch them please) Accomodation: The accomodation is clean, has all the basics you need. Air condition is good, and in the evening, the tuck-in service ensures they spray the rooms and set the mosquito nets to ensure you have good sleep. We did have a couple of issues with some water leakages in the bathroom but these were fix fairly promptly once we reported at reception. In one of the rooms we got assigned, the bed was too high for limited mobility family member and the hotel kindly adjusted to ensure we had a better room and on the ground floor to make the stay comfortable. The sea-view rooms are definitely worth the extra - to wake up to and see the turquoise blue waters every day was simply awesome. Food: Being vegetarian (and no eggs), we were worried prior to the trip that we may not get much choice of food - how wrong we were! Chef Sebastian ensured we were looked after. Beyond the buffet which already had a lot of vegetarian selection daily, he would make special dishes and have them sent to our table at each meal (in the end we had to tell him not to as we simply couldnt eat so much!!). Cuisines are varied regularly - african, lebanese, chinese, indian. Daily live-cooking for custom made pasta dishes and local specialities. The cold-room had a good selection of salads and deserts. The one slight comment would be that some guests would mix the spoons for veg and non-veg salads which, as a vegetarian puts you off from then eating the delicious looking salad. I'd suggest keeping all the non-veg dishes on the opposite side to avoid this. Entertainment: Tony and team were always ensuring guests were engaged, having fun and had a smile on their face. During the day there would be a range of activities - from aqua aerobics, to swahili lessons, to weaving, local games. The hotel had something going on every evening to keep guests entertained. Top quality acrobats, Maasai shows, live music at the jetty bar, dance troupes. Extras: Excursions organised with Crab Tree tours (Roja and co.) were excellent and very reasonably priced. Don't miss out the stonetown/spice/prison island tour or the mnemba snorkelling excursion - both are worth the long drives and a good break to the holiday routine. Diving with Salim's team and Abdul is also fantastic - Salim was especially helpful to provide all the needed information and detailed training for beginner like me - putting your mind at ease in a calm and collected manner. Definitely recommend doing some dives - in the Kizimkazi area - no tourists and great instructors! Massages - Tamer's team were able to give us some very reasoanably priced multi massage packages - these were excellent as was the full 2hr incl. Hamam experience that some of our party had! Again - definitely recommend!…
We spent a week at this resort and had an amazing time. The staff at the hotel were fantastic and very friendly. There were lots of activities to do at the hotel and they had a specific animation team who managed the activities. With two pools and two bars and ample grounds, we were very comfortable. The rooms were in good condition. As we were vegetarian, the kitchen staff and chef went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after for our meals. There were plenty of choices. Within the hotel there is a spa facility - we took a few treatments which were fabulous. The hotel also had a tour company within the grounds who arranged some excellent private excursions for us. All in all - a fantastic team of people. We will definitely go back to this resort.
we spent a week in october 2021 in this resort, and it was great. the rooms were clean and neat, the food was great, and the staff very helpful. salim, who works at the excursion desk, was amazing. he helped us obtain a zantel simcard, booked a scooter and even helped when we ran into trouble with the local police. we did some scuba diving and snorkling.
