NUMBER OF ROOMS
I stayed in room 13, which was the blue and white room in the pictures. The location of the hotel is fantastic--you have to walk across a bridge and up a hill to get to the Pousada from the town, but the benefit of this is the seclusion and the feeling that you're in a forest haven, not the city. Breakfast was fantastic--there was long dinner table covered in food, and a smaller table with cereal, yogurts and juices. Bed was comfy, and air conditioning worked great. I loved that they had a yoga area on the hill. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience a lot of the other amenities since I was touring every day with Brasilien Adventure, which is based out of the pousada (highly recommended). There was really good wifi in each room. The small bar/restaurant in the main area has a great drink menu (i didn't try the food, but it looked good). I felt very safe leaving my valuables/documents in my room and didn't have an issue. I only had some small complaints--the room doesn't allow you to latch the door shut, so if you don't lock it you can't shut the door. They're in the middle of building a swimming pool, so the room doesn't have a view currently (obviously this is going to change in the next year). I also wish they had an extra blanket available since it got a little chilly at night. There were two extra beds on the side that were oddly placed--I didn't need them and it gave the room an unfinished feel like I was staying in a storage room. If I stayed here again, I would probably ask for a different room, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!…
Everything was just PERFECT!!! The rooms, the breakfast, the kindness of the owner (He's european), the staff...The Vila is very close to the city center, but it's like to be in the forest. They organize guided tours in the Chapada Diamantina (some guides can speak english) and this was very useful for us, coming from Salvador late at night. We didn't have to bother about anything. I'd recommend for sure this beautiful place.
Had a very large, attractive room at the top of this steeply sloped property for two nights. Maybe the bridal suite?? Large canopied bed, nicely tiled bathroom, nice decorative touches here and there but not a problem, everything well thought-out, peaceful wooden deck to sit out on in the early morning or afternoon -- unless the mosquitoes become an issue. Good location for driving down into Lencois town for dinner. Breakfast on the patio at reception was excellent. I swear a cat came at sun up and meowed at our door to wake us up, then "led" or followed us down to breakfast, then disappeared. It wasn't about food!
Wow! Vila Serrano is one the highlights of my stay in Brazil ! This is the perfect place to enjoy Chapada Diamantina. the localisation is ideal, the staff is adorable and so helpful. the breakfast is healthy and the choice of the food is very important. the design of the rooms let you know that you are on holidays ! i loooved the decoration ! plus everything is clean and neat. i loved the view ! from the balcony you can see the whole village because it's lower than vila serrano. the atmosphere of this pousada is relaxing and comfortable. there is a service of massage, we did it together with my partner and it was so romantic! at last but not least, there is a tour agency in vila serrano so it's really easier to plan your visit of the sites. the agency is brasilien adventure. they have the best guides ever ! we spent the time of our stay with them ! so i hihgly recommend VILA SERRANO !…
This charming, colonial style set of houses are located a short walk distance from the town centre. During our stay we enjoyed the calm and quiet of the place which even attracted curious little marmosets in the evenings. You can hear they squeal and jump the trees in the early hours too! The staff was very nice and welcoming and the breakfast, all made locally, divine.
