This B&B also offers a wonderful dinner menu. A wide variety of items on the menu would please everyone in your group. Service was great and the dining room is part of this early 20th century home. Nice jazz music was quietly playing - just loud enough to hear yet soft enough to allow conversation.

This B&B is right on the water in Grand Bank, which is an interesting small town. We arrived on a foggy, rainy day at the end of September so we did not experience the full benefit of the excellent location by the ocean. One doesn't expect to find this level of excellence in a place as far off the beaten track as Grand Bank, but the Thorndyke was by far the finest accommodation we had in Newfoundland on a recent trip. I stayed here enroute to St. Pierre for one night with my 88 year old Mother. Everything was lovely. The Dinner and Breakfast were superb, and far exceeded our expectations.
