This campground is only minutes away from the Town of Oliver, yet it’s quiet. It really gives you a feeling of being outdoors. The only thing we missed here is the camp fire fueled with wood. They have this sort-of fire pit fueled with propane for rent. I will upload some pictures with this review and hopefully they will show up. Two of my reviews with pictures didn’t show the pictures after I posted the review in here, so fingers crossed.

My wife and I stayed here for a week when we were in the area visiting family. The campsites are a little tight together for extended onsite camping but for our purposes as a home base for day trips it was very good and overall I thought the service and some of the facilities were rather nice. I was rather impressed with the herb garden that was available for guests to use. It was very quiet, in part because of the relative lack of kids in the campground. It seemed to be a older crowd.

First off when I contacted them about pet friendly I was told yes. When we arrived we were informed that our dog could only be in the upper camp ground and that there was no fenced in dog area for dogs to run free. Our puppy had to stay on leash the whole time. He was not allowed on the beach. I understand. We understood even better when we walked down to the lake to discover a very small beach area. I mean there is no way the beach could accomade everyone who staying here. The water was nice. Large groups would take over the beach and also form groups right on the edge and in the water making it difficult to come in and out and limiting the area that small children could play. As for the camping area, it was cramped. You could reach out and touch your neighbours trailed from what we could see. It felt very clautrophobic. We were lucky however as we had booked one of their little cabins. It was good for us. It is small however and 2 adults do bump into each other and toss in in 2 kids, it's tight for moving around in but it worked. The mattresses were nice and we enjoyed the porch swing. It would have been nice if the outdoor light was seperate from the indoor light so that when the kids were sleeping we still had a light outside. The last thing is when we first arrived the 2 front desks ladies were complaining about one of the camp residents, Very unprofessional. As well as, while we were there, a call came in from a lady who had questions. Apparently it is not her first call and this warranted more negative comments about this person. I did not like how they were treating their clients. There were 2 older gentlemen who work here who were very friendly. One of them did clean up and always had nice things to say. The other always had a treat for dogs in the area. As for our use of the lake we used it the first day and the second day we went to Lake Okanagan where they had fenced area for dogs, right on the beach with the water for the dogs to run into. Will not be returning nor reccomending.

I have been to all types of sites in Canada and the USA. It was one of the worst I have experienced. It was so jammed people could not move their units in and out. We watched a camper try for over 1/2 hour before he got his trailer into his spot. I do understand the season is short and filling your pockets is important. It is probably 30% overpriced. It was tidy. Pay attention to their booking policy, not to customer friendly.
