The lavender was in full bloom, sweet fragrance greeted us along with the friendly hostess more than accommodating to our young family...and on very short notice, as well. Complete tour of the super cute, functional 'hobbit' houses! Very comfortable for our family, and great atmosphere. Wonderfully void of a TV (but lots of reading material provided) to encourage the exploration... More

Just one night but the reservation process was flawless, Joan was there to greet me and show me around, the location was perfect - walking distance to everything, a grocery store (open on Sunday) is right next door and several restaurants close by. The dome was a delight - fully equipped, right down to dish soap, anything you'd need in... More

I have just returned from the most relaxing and refreshing trip I have been at for a long time. The destination was New Denver British Columbia, a charming village on Lake Slocan. The residence we stayed in was the Vila Dome Quixote. What a place, what a hospitality we received from the owner and the staff. We are looking forward... More

This quaint dome cottage was just perfect. From booking to heading home, our stay was wonderful. The cottages are delightfully absent of technology and welcoming of pets. We had all we needed to dine in and if we needed some groceries- the store is right next door. Make Dome Quixote your home base for your New Denver adventures.

To be fair, we never actually got a chance to experience "cute & cozy" or "home away from home" because after weeks nobody returned our calls or emails concerning reservations. We appreciate this is not a winter operation but you shouldn't promise a timely response if you're not able to do it. Here's some news for you hosts: folks making... More

We booked one night and stayed for two…and would have stayed longer but time dictated our reluctant departure. Our journey was to visit the places our 31 year old son had spent time in over 20 months of living in B.C. He tragically lost his life whilst hiking in the nearby mountains a year earlier and visiting this beautiful region... More

New Denver is just a spit of a town and you can walk it all in short order. These "Dome" cottages are a unique opportunity. I had booked three well in advance for our trip and the staff was most helpful both in making and adjusting reservations and in check-in when we arrived. We discovered that food in town is... More

Our 'Dome' was clean, comfortable, quiet and spacious. The staff were 'small town friendly' and the grounds were well maintained. Pet friendly is an understatement, the lovely lady in the office always remembered and greeted our 100lb lab cross traveling companion by name! We've already recommended The Dome to our friends and family when visiting beautiful and historical New Denver.

Very deceiving - so spacious inside! A one in a million unique little spot! We stayed in Cottage #1 for 3 nights (right next to office.. Highway traffic did not pose a problem for us and nights had very little vehicles driving by. Kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything you need to do your own cooking and prepping... We stayed overnight on our way through on a north-south trip through the province. It is an interesting place to stay, well maintained and quite clean. I found the domes quite airless at night as the a/c seemed to have been switched off, and the only window in the bedroom only opened a small amount. The furnishings are very basic... More
