Very clean, spacious and bright, our very large room had three comfy beds for three exhausted sport-crazed guys. There was ample room inside for our road bikes. Our host ,Trevor, is an avid athlete with tons of local knowledge for road and Mtn cyclists, hikers, hang gliders. He's passionate about where he lives and shared his love of the Slocan.... More

We made a reservation for a room with 2 beds, but the owners decided someone else needed it more than we did, and provided a leaky air mattress on the concrete floor that we had no room for except in the closet. No additional bedding was provided beyond sheets, and so it was cold. The owners / operators took off... More

I can't really remember the specifics of your stay as it was so long ago. I assume the 2nd bed was for a child. When demand is very high in the summer for the Valhalla music school we often have kids sleeping on the air mattresses and have not had a complaint. Last summer my ex-wife and I split up... More

My family and I stayed in these cabins and there are 5 of us. We all had space to be apart, the kids in one area and the adults in another. We stayed in the family cabin and would definitely return there when we are back that way. The owner was so very accommodating and even helped bring in our... More

This is the dirtiest and worst accommodation we have EVER had in all our extensive travels. Had a friend not booked it and we were on bicycles so it was not easy to try to find another place, we would not have endured the night there. The room was FILTHY and I hope that health inspectors close the place down.... More

You are correct the cleanliness was below standard. The windows were neglected and this situation has been corrected. The carpet and other problems are being corrected as we speak. My apologies. I know that it is too late for you but I do welcome you to inspect the cabin again and would offer you a free night for your trouble. More

Although this property looks clean and charming from the outside, I would advise you to drive on by and find another place to stay in the gorgeous surroundings of New Denver and Silverton. The following are the facts about the inside of our cabin, which thankfully, we had only booked for one night: Microwave: grimy and food-splattered inside Stove: truly... More

You are correct that the facilities were not up to standard. My apologies. I had a work crew staying with us for the spring at a discounted rate for a longer term rental. When their contract was up the summer season began and you stayed with us. The regular spring cleaning of the cabin didn't get done before the season.... More

Nice quaint cabins but leave more to be desired. We loved the town of New Denver but the Glacier Cabins were a disappointment,. There were no washcloths. Only two bath towels, no bedside lamp and the smoke detector was hanging out of the ceiling by the wires. We finally asked the owners if we could have a bedside table lamp... More

We had our family reunion here and everyone had an amazing time. The cabins are clean & tidy and well stocked with basic utensils. The owners, Trevor & Sara, are super nice and friendly and very helpful and always available. They know a lot about the local area so feel free to ask questions. The fenced yard with picnic tables,... More

Our family has stayed here twice now and we love it. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but that's not what you want here in the Kootenays anyway. The cabins are quaint, clean and equipped with everything you need. The former gravel parking lot has been replaced with grass so kids can play lawn games or you can enjoy eating your meals... More

These cabins have been taken over by a young friendly couple with children. They are working hard to upgrade their property. Recently they fenced the parking lot in the front and planted grass. It is a great place for children to play safely and for the adults to sit outside and visit if they wish. We stayed here for a... More

These cabins were probably quite nice about 25 years ago, but they could use some sprucing up now. They have a musty/ mildew smell that permeates everything. The parkay flooring is dated as well as all the furniture. Having seen inside two cabins, it looks as though everything was purchased at garage sales - a long time ago. One cabin... More

Sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Glacier View Cabins were first built in the 1950's and were known as Rowe's AutoCourt. The cabins were completely rebuilt from the studs up in 1996 including rewiring, plumbing etc. Since we took over in 2005 we have removed a lot of the furnishings that were cluttering up the cabins, repainted...
