Where to even start about our stay. Absolutely loved this B&B, it was well worth the money. The Carter's were lovely hosts, and the view that you get eating breakfast is second to none in this world. Our pictures from breakfast look like a wallpaper you would put on your computer, and that's just the start. It is a little... More

All the good things previous reviewers have said are true. I can't add more except that I wish we have stayed longer to explore the walks more and enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful location. The hosts are fantastic and suggested a nearby attraction in view of our long drive back to Edinburgh. It just shows their hospitality... More

This is exactly what we were looking for in skye. The location is beautiful and quiet. Easy to get to the different hikes we wanted to do around the island. The hosts we great! We needed to check in late and do laundry and julie and steve were extremely obliging. The rooms are beautiful as well. Everything was perfect.

My partner and I had an amazing few days at this B+B. The hosts were so lovely and sweet (and always wanted to make more food at breakfast in case we were hungry haha). The view from the house is absolutely breath-taking. Since it is in such a lovely untouched area, restaurants are somewhat far to get to- however, the... More

Anything we add feels like gilding a lily. You should stay here. The Carters are charming, helpful hosts: The very reason you stay at a B & B. The Guesthouse is in a lovely rural area, with sheep and shore nearby. The rooms are new and clean, the morning meals are filling and delicious. Excellent wifi connection--connecting you to the... We had a night at Carter's rest over Easter, the start of the tourist season for the B&B. What a wonderful place. We should have stayed longer. The hosts Steve and Julie are lovely, so very personable and friendly, proper hosts and make the best full Scottish you could ever hope to have. Immaculate spacious rooms, a gorgeous remote rural... My mom, daughter and I stayed and had the apartment. it was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for 3 adult women. The view was amazing! Even though it was a little remote - a couple of miles from the lighthouse, it was well worth it. There are plenty are restaurants close by and there is a kitchen.... More

We loved our 2 nights at Carter's Rest. All the glowing reviews are accurate and there is genuinely nothing I can add to improve them. I can't think of anything that could be done to better Steve and Julie's offering. The room was perfect, the facilities were comprehensive, and the breakfasts were lovely. We've always wanted to eat at the... More

There is a lot of B&B competition in Skye, making it hard to choose what you hope will be the "perfect" place. But after a wonderful 5 night stay at Carters Rest, I know we made the right decision, and our stay here was perfection. B&B hosts will totally make or break your visit, and Julie and Steve were the... More
