Room was OK plenty to see nearby castle and cathedral next door for just a few nights for a tourist on a budget great hotel and if you want to explore further training station is few yards away and local buses are frequent

Clean and presentable room 11 overlooking the highstreet. Comfortable night stay. Bathroom virtually in darkness with a very low wattage bulb. The shower pressure is very poor, though at least it was hot. No bedside cabinet to put your glasses etc so either on the floor or pull up a chair. This was a bit surprising as their was room... Rochester high street retains much of its 19th century character. This applies to the kings head which is small and badly designed for a restaurant, there is wheelchair access and access for prams but it is tight. Children are welcome. Sunday is carvery day although there are some off menu items, vegetarians are not well catered for with only the... More

I paid £80 for my partner and I to stay in a 'Superior' room. Frankly there is nothing Superior about these rooms, I use the plural because we changed our original room because the bed collapsed in the first offering and we were given an alternative. The both the rooms we used were the ones featured on the website, so... More

Arrived to find a nightmare of a stairway, decorated by someone with no arms or right foot it would appear. Broken furniture apparently goes to die on the first landing and gas bottles, tables and various pieces of equipment clutter every spare corner. On entering our room 'Bill Sikes' number 10, we found a slow to heat shower, a sticking... More

Stayed here and was very impressed. Rooms recently refurbished and very clean. All the staff very friendly and welcoming - food also highly recommended. Great central location with the new train station only a few minutes walk away. Will definitely be returning.
