Have been to several thermal spa in Slovenia and I need to admit I am still surprised how great spa Dolenjske toplice is. Excelent food (local, delicious and great variety), outstanding spa ( saunas, whirpool and hot tube, not to mention relex room with water beds), swimming pool. The staff are very professional, helpfull and nice. The rooms very clean. A great spa for weekend escape, business purpose or a holidays. There are a lot of cycling trails and hiking around. In winter there is also a ski slopes called Gače. Definitelly will return very soon.

I stayed here just one night, luckily. I was alone so I had one bed in the small room. The room is even more narrow at the window so it gives additional feeling of a small place. Place was clean but, the soap smells nicely but you don’t get sleepers and a sponge to clean the shoes.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for the second time and it was all perfect. Very relaxing atmosphere, the room was clean, tidy and cozy... just all you need after a full day in the spa. Staff at the reception were helpful and polite, maybe a little smile-less but that didn't affect the stay at all. The buffet is always very rich and satisfying. The spa is just amazing...Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, Japanese bath, relaxing area with water beds... come on, what would you like more?!? Surely we'll be going back again!!!

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks while my partner was in rehab. The room was cozy, the AC worked well so it wasn't too hot. We were a bit disappointed as we got a room on the top floor and therefore only had 1 rooftop window in our room (and 1 in our bathroom). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is amazing, the food delicious and you have different menus and types of food every day. The area around the outdoor pool is vary spacious. We loved the evening swimming - they set the atmosphere perfectly. It is all very clean and tidy.

We stayed at Hotel Kristal for 2 nights in October, to enjoy a spa retreat. We were very pleased with our experience. Firstly, it was very easy to reach. We came by bus from Ljubljana and the bus stop was right across the street from the hotel. Reception was very speedy, warm and friendly. When we were not quite certain what we wanted in a room, she let us check out 2 different rooms and make up our minds. The elevator was a little cozy. The room was a generous size, with a love seat and a large desk. And 2 reading lamps. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower had 2 types of shower heads. The bathroom had lots of shelf space for toiletries and a heated towel rack, which was delightful. The room had two window, which opened to allow fresh air. There was a safe in the closet. There were 2 closets for hanging clothes in our room. Along with our room (for about $150 CAD a night) we had half board (breakfast and dinner), one day use of the sauna complex, and free use of the spa pools. This seemed to us a terrific deal. The food was quite good and plentiful. Breakfast featured one of the nicest breakfast buffets I have had, as it included nutritious, healthy food along with the sinfully delicious. And we were thrilled to spend hours in the spa pools, including a fitness class. I did attend a Yoga class but since it was conducted totally in Slovenian and mostly in the dark, I wouldn't recommend the yoga. We availed ourselves of the spa services (facial and massage) and enjoyed them. We strolled around the quaint village (Lots of hiking opportunities) and could easily have stayed a week.…
