The camping site is ridiculous over-crowded. The mobilehomes is placed almost on top of each other. There's no place for kids to play near the mobilhome as the "road" in front is very busy with cars and ATV's all day. Every morning there's hundred meter of queue in front of the supermarket and in the evening it's the same thing for the restaurants. The pool water is blurry and it doesn't seem like it's properly cleaned. People block five, six sunloungers each and then leave for most of the day. The staff is doing nothing about this and honestly doesn't seem to care much about anything than looking at their phones. Only good part about this place is the quality of the food at the restaurants. It's prober italian food compared to many other sites, though expect to wait for 30 - 60min. for a table. Would never recommend anyone to go here, you can find so much better sites for less money. …
Crappy and Old mobile of VACANTSELECT. The cabin is shaking even with a small movements inside, it feels like you’re on a boat. The parking area is small, the cabin area doesn’t have a street lights. It’s the worst mobilehome we ever have. Clean?
We stayed in a basic static home by Human Travel. Human Travel were excellent and the caravan was new, very clean and had great air con. The basic ones are positioned very close together but I don’t think this is the case with the bigger caravans. I’ll start with the good points.. Location is excellent you can walk to the lake and the nearby town. The choice of restaurants on site is good and there a lots of activities for kids to get involved in. Our girls loved the trampolining and “ “ Go ape “ type climbing frame . The site is well maintained and the staff clearly work very hard. We absolutely loved the restaurant which is at the top of the site. I can’t remember the name but it’s a yellow fronted building. We ended up going there three times. The super market is well stocked with plenty of selection. The pool slides were enjoyed by our daughters age 9 and 12. Negative points.. The scram for sun loungers every morning at 9am is dangerous. People queuing up and then surging forward as soon as the gates are opened. One lady and her child in a push chair almost got knocked over. She was visibly shaken up and upset. People just seem Happy to knock and barge you out of the way. The lifeguards say that they will remove towels after 30 minutes. However this was not the case. I saw rows and rows of sun loungers that were not occupied. Bella Italia either need to control this or get more sun loungers! We found a Sandy fake beach by the pool where you could pay 5 euros for two sun beds and an umbrella. We just did this every day as it was easier. However even with those ones you have to be up and in the queue by 9AM. The toilets by the pool are disgusting, dark and dingy . Someone had defecated all down the stairs leading to the toilet block and to my surprise ( or not ! ) there was a steaming great turd surrounded by a yellow hazard sign. It took them at least 20 minutes to come and clean it all up. Feel sorry for whoever did. All in all this is a good site BUT a I got the feeling that it was over booked as there was queues for pretty much anything. I get that it was peak season but it felt like peak season times about a thousand. I guess no surprise after the last two years of no holidays!…
This was our second visit to Bella Italia and prob our last. Although it claims to be a 5 star camp it would be a 3 star at most. Our first visit was so much better that I’m nearly sorry we returned because it has tainted it now for us. Pros The view in the camp is beautiful Reception staff are lovely The ice cream is cheap and really nice The pools are fantastic for kids and adults alike Supermarket prices were good Fireworks fantastic!!! Cons It is absolutely impossible to get a sunlounger without harming yourself or others While pool is great we did notice it was quite dirty Service is an absolute joke in the restaurants, you asked for something and you are told to “hold on” and nobody comes back, it was impossible trying to order another drink once you ordered the first time Staff are rude in the restaurants and bar The Lidl bus no longer runs but we were told that it did and stood in the baking heat for 30 minutes waiting Everything is gone up in price, the Bella italia train was 20 euro return for our family which is a lot if doing it every night, should be free. Gift shop extortionate prices Entertainment at night is terrible and kids club just do the same thing every day. We stayed with eurocamp and it just felt like we were so far from everything, the Bella train only does one stop, you would think with a camp this big the train would do 2/3 stops to let people off, especially those with young kid, instead you were passing your mobile at one end of camp to get off at the other end of camp and having to walk back. People shouting and screaming at 1 and 2 in the morning, we had a family from Northern Ireland beside us and they were a nightmare but security left them to it. We spotted rats a couple of the nights, I know in such a big place it’s prob impossible not to see them but it still made me feel afraid to sit out on our decking area. Terrace restaurant disgusting, food literally microwaved as it simply could not be ready in 5 minutes, no point complaining though because they don’t care, waiters too busy talking about the women in the restaurant, silly thing to do presuming others around you don’t understand Italian. The area is beautiful and Bella italia has so much potential but it needs a drastic make over, it’s like management can’t be bothered because they know that they will still get the custom regardless of what the camp is like.…
Georgia was our waitress. She was so accommodating, bubblerly, so happy and helpful and made my friends birthday special. She made our visit very pleasant. She was polite, kind and very easy to speak with.
Having read some of the newer reviews I was nervous about our stay. This review relates to my Bella Italia experience which was very good. Our stay last week of August 2022. This campsite is massive, over 1000 pitches most accommodated by families of 4 to 6. This place is bigger and busier than most small towns so yes there are times when you will have to que but staff are quick. I found the staff to be excellent and super polite at all times in all areas of the campsite. Yes at 9am there were people waiting to get their favorite loungers at the pool, but there would be around 20 to 30 people per gate but to put it in to perspective there are many hundreds of loungers. We would arrive at 1 min to 9am and get a great spot every day. All the loungers were taken by 10am but also they did rotate so there is opportunity throughout the day to get a lounger. Tip loungers are well uncomfortable if I went again I would take an inflatable lounger mat. Also at 10am each day the pool staff did walk around removing towels put there by people that just hogged the lounger for later when they wanted to arrive. Also if you point out to the pool staff loungers that have towels on but just being hogged they will remove the towels for you. Fantastic well done. One of the swimming pools you need a swimming hat to get in, this is great its a deeper pool where inflatables are not allowed. Food in all eateries was very good, be mindful that there is a small wait when ordering take away pizzas, crazy busy but staff do pump them out in good time. Fresh vegetables and fruit are very expensive. examples £6.40 for 5 nectarines, £4.50 a single avocado, £5.50 a single mango ect just be prepared prices are high for fresh goods. £4.50 a pint £8 a cocktail, standard. There is a local Lidl but its no cheaper. Very quiet at night everything closes by 11pm, be ready for screaming babies by 730am most mornings, take earplugs if you want a lie in. Check in is busy because there are lots of people to check in. We stayed with Eurocamp we paid £1800 for 8 days, our accommodation was filthy, very tired and old (rusty broken heaters, soiled pillows and bedding, filthy showers, no resolution offered by eurocamp staff we spent several hrs cleaning on arrival.) Accommodation opposite was run by Bella Italia and the family in there paid £800 for 11 days, their cabin was new and immaculate with TV and coffee machine. Save £1000 and book direct. Also Eurocamp charge £100 for linen and told us that you could not get linen on site. Talking to another couple they paid £40 when they arrived for linen without booking it. Again another £60 saving if you get your linen from Bella Italia on site. Its £60 for a taxi to Verona but we found another couple and shared the taxi so paid £40 each. Bus from Verona to the campsite was very simple £4 each Would I go back? Yes but i would book direct for a massive saving.…
2 weeks at bella italia August 2022. Wow. Check in at 4pm on arrival is 2 hours. 30 families deep. Ridiculous. Our vans were at the furthest point away from reception. Although a good tucked away location, no facility to get your luggage to it along the gravel road, literally about 1/2 to 3/4 mile away. Wheels came off suitcases, there should be a shuttle bus for this due to the site being so big. If you want to queue for everything at all times of day and night this is the place to be. Pool opens at 9am with gates locked. No good for families with young kids who are up at 6/7am. Access from multiple gates by security permitting access. You have to queue at 7.45am to get anywhere near the front and secure a sunbed. When the gates open, it's literally a sprint and i mean a sprint. People running in all directions, older people and children being ploughed and knocked over. People throwing towels and random personal items over your head and if they landed on a bed it was deemed theirs. Absurd. Needs sorting or there will be a liability claim. Its disgusting. The main Pool is so rammed you are not a foot away from the next person. The Pool area is filthy with mud between the concrete paving slabs. There is 1 x 15 minute qua aerobics some days, but nothing other than that. Boring. There is a beached area around one of the pools and you have to pay extra to have sand under your feet. Absolute joke, although we refused to do that. The staff are downright rude in the supermarket. The queue for when it opens for the bakery is at 7.30am and is well over a hundred people deep and 30 minutes to get in there. Although the prices are comparable to the local Lidl 10 minutes walk away ill give them that. The caravans are tiny, even the most expensive ones. You are no more than a few feet away from the next one. No privacy. No sunbeds at your van. Although the air conditioning is superb in them, the only positive thing. The BBQ provided - well don't even bother. Takes 2 hours to get it going and fits 4 hamburgers and a pack of sausages. No utensils provided. The Italian restaurant at the site was just OK but better food in Peschiera. There is no WiFi at the site, although it's advertised. Ocassionally at the pool. Only if you sit outside reception. The Lake is beautiful but it smells like rotting flesh around the area you get to it from the site. You need to walk 10 minutes further down to Peschiera to get rid of it. Pescheira is lovely and worth a visit. We are not snobs by any shot of the imagination and have had many eurocamp bookings (although we book direct with the site as its half the price) but this place is a disaster. Other sites are well organised, loads of room around the vans and far superior vans. It's advertised as a 5 star. You are kidding. Its a 2 star at best in every aspect. If you are contemplating booking this I really would consider moving your break. We were a group of friends with older teen children holidaying together, the kids weren't bored, lots to do but that's the only positive I can provide, along with the reception staff who are a credit to the site. Helpful, good English and other languages and responsive. They are let down by this site. Despite this we had a great time due to the company we had. This really is a serious, honest review by a family who have done many of these sites and this place takes the biscuit. They've got it all wrong.…
Booked a Bungalow with TUI, arrived at 12pm and were warned ahead of time that the accommodation wouldn't be ready, but to our surprise it was and we were very impressed. It was clean and had a lovely outside space and was close to all of the main facilities. Yes the pool is very busy and you have to get there early to secure a sunbed but on the days we didn't we still enoyed a swim and easily spotted one at some point as other families left. The restaurants and supermarket were a little more expensive than outside the park but everything we had was good quality and we were happy to pay for the convience. If you are prepared to walk 20 min to peschiera you have a wealth of options for eating and drinking. The lake is beautiful and so much to do in the surrounding area.
Booked a week’s stay through Vacance Select. The accommodation was clean & well presented. There's everything you need on site (at a slight premium). There’s a couple of larger supermarkets within 15 mins walking. Taxi return to campsite costs around 10 euros. The kids will love the 4 different pools that cater for all ages. For the more serious swimmers, bring a swimming cap. There's daily games and exercises in and out of the pool, for those that prefer a workout during the morning. The campsite backs directly onto Lake Garda. We hired pedalos and wakeboards (10 euros p/h each) as well as canoes (7 euros p/h) on the lake. The water temperature is lovely and warm, albeit slightly murky. Outside of the campsite, the local town (Peschiera) is walkable along the coastline of the lake. I would highly recommend the walk as the views are simply stunning and breath-taking. Peschiera is a beautiful small historic town with a few waterside restaurants. There’s also a number of touristy shops worth popping your head in. Sirminone is also well worth the visit. You can catch a direct bus and the bus stops directly outside the entrance to the campsite. We also had a day trip to Verona. Wonder down and up the many quaint streets and simply explore the wonderful shops and eating establishments Verona offers. You can catch a bus to Verona but do need to change at Peschiera train station. Alternatively, get the train which costs 7 euros return and is much quicker the taking the bus. …
This place is amazing - so much to do for the family & everything you could ever need onsite the staff were brilliant too and the evening entertainment was pleasant Our only issue was with Eurocamp to be honest - firstly we went as 2 families & asked to be located together, was assured this would be OK when booking, but ended up being as far away as possible....and the actual vans were not great they were pretty tired and the mattresses were not very good at all - we would not book with these again as there are plenty better vans onsite
