Staying at Castello Banfi was one of the most beautiful hotel experiences I have ever had. The castle is absolutely stunning, and in the most incredible surroundings. It really is a magical place to stay and watch the golden sunset with a glass of local wine. The location is wonderful amongst the hillside vineyards, it's feels very remote, but also not too far from the lovely Siena. My partner and I were lucky enough to have an exclusive stay at Castello Banfi in the off season and enjoy the property in its entirely, for ourselves. We loved the Castle and the wonderful rose garden, but there are views to be enjoyed from every angle and every corner of the property. The swimming pool is also a highlight, it's gorgeous, and a fantastic sun trap where its very easy to spend the entire day relaxing. Our villa/studio room was very spacious with a seperate bedroom and living room area, and an enormous bathroom with lovely Italian tiles. The bed was the most comfortable, silky delightful bed I have ever slept in, and we slept like babies before waking up to picturesque Tuscan hillside views. We didn't eat at the restaurants on the property, but they looked great from the outside. We did however do the Banfi wine tour and tasting in the enoteca, and I highly recommend it! It was an informative and fun tour, followed by a very enjoyable tasting with a delicious plate of local meats and cheeses, breads, olive oil, and banfi balsamic vinegar. This ended up being one of our favourite days of our holiday in Italy, I would definitely do it again! We did it as a couple, but I think it would be even more fun with a group of friends. The service we received at Castello Banfi was flawless from start to finish, and made us feel so at home and so comfortable. All up it was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. I thought everything about Castello Banfi was perfect and I will undoubtedly be returning again!

We're in the process of planning our wedding at Banfi! Thus far the experiences has been excellent. We visited to view the grounds, rooms, and facilities and experienced a capable, friendly and efficient team. It should be mentioned that some of the photos posted by reviewers on TripAdvisor are taken before a recent refresh of the rooms and gardens so preference should be given to the newer interior shots. The glass museum should be mentioned since it is stunning and the overall setting is very impressive and perfectly maintained. We'll keep you posted on progress over the next few months. Thus far: A+ E&K

A gorgeous property! My visit was too short (2 nights) with rainy weather but I absolutely loved it. Beautiful views of the vineyards and surrounding hills (which would be even more stunning on a sunny day). Luxury rooms with historic details. The team is amazing and provided excellent personalized service. The restaurants were lovely and the food delicious - lunch at the Taverna with classic Tuscan fare, a tasting dinner at La Sala dei Grappoli - both featuring the Banfi wines. The wine tour and tasting followed by a visit to the Enoteca were a great way to sample many of the Banfi wines - and of course, ship some home! I cannot wait to return!

This was our 3rd visit to Castello Banfi. It is a spectacular property and self contained with the best accommodations, food, service, pool, and winery. Anything you want, it is here. It's also a good home base from which to explore Tuscany. Have lunch and La Taverna, dinner at Sala dei Grappoli and you won't be disappointed. The food is exquisite! Also, the wine tasting is a great opportunity to sample multiple vintages. We always ship a case of wine home to last until our next visit. Many thanks to Maddalena, Domenico, Edouardo and Sylvia and rest of the team for another wonderful stay. Looking forward to visit #4!
