The Gravina Resort is a complex of 91 residences, set on a strip of land that slopes gently towards one of the most evocative sea stretches of the Mediterranean. Crystal clear waters, isolated beaches, coves, granite rocks chiselled by the wind and Mediterranean vegetation: all this is Costa Paradiso. Beautiful place, a lot of services available for us like the pool, tennis camp, and beach volley area alongside the soccer field. The kids had a lot of fun with the animation and miniclub. All the people we talk to were nice, we've been treated very well:))

Warning - Gravina Resort has been destroyed by extreme noise from the nearby sports centre, which has been attempted to convert into a party's charter hotel like the worst you know from Bulgaria or Turkey, with extremely high music night and day. I've stayed at the hotel several times with friends and family, and so far we've enjoyed the tranquility and beautiful views Costa Paradiso is so known for. This is now over. Too bad, because it was a nice hotel until the neighbor ruined the place.

Well..if you want to pay 10€/ person EVERY DAY for the towels, if you want to have no internet first 3 days, rude Marianna at the reception, no IRON in the room (and the reception could NOT even provide it for the whole stay), no hairdryer, waiting for the hot water to take a shower 30 min ... then this is the place to be. I was amazed by photos on the internet that s why i picked this apartment, but the services here are way too far from normality.

I was afraid before coming to resort Gravino. I had read many negative reviews about this resort. Seeing the apartment i was positively surprised. The apartment we got was clean, nice and spacey. Kitchen was well equipped, air-condition was working as well as wifi was doing its job. Market was close to the apartment containing basic food (more or less all we needed). The only negative observation i have is the distance to the beach. But this was something I knew before we came here.

We stayed in a villa at Gravina Resort for two weeks and we are very pleased with our stay. The villa was big and comfortable, with a pool shared by three other villas. Calm and relaxing location. Sure, you need a car to get to the shop or the beaches, but that is expected if you do a little research on the location of the resort. The staff was friendly and did what they could to make it a wonderful holiday for us. We would definately recommend this resort if you are willing to rent a car to get around with.

We stayed for one week. The fridge it's a bit small but eveything it's clean, very nice place to stay. Ten minutes to the beach. 1h to Palau to visit the islands by boat, 1h30 to Porto Torres to leave by ferry. The beaches arround are calm, to do snorkle, to read with no so much people. A very nice holidays if you don't want to be in costa Esmeralda neat to everyone.

The resort have nice facilities and pools. However the place is located far from anything. You need to use a car for all things. You will be charged extra for bedsheets and towels. The bed was not clean with several stains. The ad informs daily maid service. This is not true. When leaving you must clean the apartment. The staff were very stressed, unfriendly and rude. When trying to argue that daily maid service was supposed to be included the staff responded that they had no time to argue and informed that if they found the cleaning if the apartment unsatisfactory they would charge us a "fine" of 50 euro. There were no cleaning detergents available. These had to be purchased at the local supermarket a drive away. Broken furniture both inside and outside the apartment.

July 2014: After having reserved a double villa with a panoramic view of the sea, as shown in great detail in the booking pictures, as well as described as such, were were in for a nasty shock when we arrived. The villa we booked already had people in it and we were placed in a villa with a giant pile of dirt and rocks for a view! Right behind the one we were supposed to get. If you read the other reviews you will see we were not alone in this experience. They over book, double book and do not provide the accommodation that you think you will be getting. If you feel like playing a roulette with your booking, this is your spot! In addition, the staff could not care less, as they clearly do this all the time. The villas are very basic and lack charm. Also barely clean and nearly non-existent internet, and serious mosquito problem, we had to buy plug-in repellents to sleep. Also: we booked through Novasol which was another very poor customer service, had no idea what was going on, blamed us for getting moved into a wrong villa, was useless. They suggested moving us to another house which was also not available! Both the Gravina owner and Novasol refused to honor the discount they promised as a compensation for this bait and switch. You will have no-one to help you if you find yourself out there! If we did not have grandparents and children with us, we would have just left. Zero stars.

On arrival the resort looks great and the location is very good if you have a car to go explore the area. The amenities nearby are expensive but is to be expected. The restaurants were fine but the resort lacked a bit of exciting night life! We arrived excited having reserved a villa with private pool for our group of four through Expedia. The 'receptionist' Monica asked us to pay the full amount which we had already paid to Expedia and we spent a good while sorting that out. She then gave us the key and we were shown to the property by one of the people who she had sat around reception in swimwear laughing at the clients. Our villa turned out to be an apartment with one bathroom not two as we reserved and a 'private' pool to be shared with 20 other apartments. We instantly went back and complained only to be told that the villa is the very apartment we had been given and the pool was to be shared with the other apartments. Gravina resort washed their hands of us and said the fault was entirely expedia's. Even though they have on their confirmation exactly what we booked but neither party wanted to inform us before our arrival that this was not the product we would receive. We felt really defrauded and unsupported and we had to settle compensation when we went back home. The apartment we were given was filthy. The resort charges a cleaning fee and I don't know why because we had to do everything. The mattresses and pillows full of suspicious stains and the whole place smelt odd. We had to sweep the floors with the broken brush and the amount of dirt we found leads you to think that the floors had spent several weeks without being cleaned. We had to wash all cutlery and plates by hand several times before it stopped smelling and felt clean. The cafetiere was in a disgusting state and couldn't be used. The terrace table and chairs were thick with dirt also. We knew facilities were basic (you even have to bring your own bed linens and towels) but that should not mean dirty and smelly too. The pool area looked ok though although has a lot of algae on the sides and we used it very little but it seemed fine and the other kids seemed to enjoy it. Be aware that there is not even a microwave here. I could imagine a family with a baby would struggle, especially when hot as there's no fans or air conditioning, we managed fine without. If you really don't plan on using the apartment for anything other than sleeping then you would be fine here but from our experience we wouldn't go back again, it leaves a lot to be desired!
