I wont repeat every other detail people have mentioned. I will say that after reading the comments about needing decorating and being shabby prove that some people are never happy. The decor is old fashioned but walking through the door takes you back to an era of maggie smith doing afternoon tea with some old colonel. You could step back...

We spent a long weekend here 4- 8 April. Very nice hotel, extremely friendly staff and ideally placed for exploring Lake Como and Switzerland. We booked in on half board - great breakfast with plenty of choice for all tastes and a fabulous 5 course dinner every evening. Only downside was no tea and coffee making facilities in room but...

We stayed here as part of a tour in Oct. In it's day this indeed was a Grand Hotel.....however the decorating definitely needs to be updated. We paid extra for a lakeview room with balcony which gave us a lovely view of the lake....BUT the room was very sparten.....an armoire for a closet & 2 tiny drawers for storage was...

Our stay in this hotel was part of a Riviera Travel Tour. The Hotel is very big, but there is a lift to all floors, a bit slow but that should be expected when the hotel is full. Our room was very small and dark, possibly at one time part of a stairwell and hallway, no view. 4 steps down...

We are already trying to figure out when we can come back and stay longer. we had an excellent view from our balcony, and the ferry dock was close-by. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. Thank you so very much... Also...

We stayed here for a week as part of a Riviera Travel tour. It's a lovely hotel, huge and very grand. The entrance, reception and seating area is lovely and quite peaceful to sit and read in your spare time. Our room was large and basic with two 'Queen' beds pushed together and very comfortable. The bathroom was large with...

Like other reviewers, we stayed here whilst on a Riviera tour, which was excellent. The hotel is greatly used by tour groups; whilst we were there there were two other Riviera groups as well as others from Germany and Ireland. Our room, at the back of the hotel, had no view, also no noise as front rooms have. It was...
