If you want to stay in a 5* Hotel with everything that goes with that, this is not the place for you. However if you can appreciate a beautiful house with the elegance and old fashioned charm this offers then this is for you! We stayed in a lake view room which was beautifully clean and comfortable, polished floorboards, with... More

This is an old fashioned hotel straight out of a novel set in the late 1800s. Beautiful setting with spectacular views. You can swim in the lake directly from the hotel and there is a beautiful garden to lounge in. Very convenient for the ferry and it is just a quick walk into town. Good food and pleasant staff. Just had our third visit to the hotel (booked again 2017)it has the best location on the lake, great for swimming just walk through the garden. The restaurant has great food but the menu is a bit limited, fantastic service and a lovely outside terrace to eat on.The hotel has an old charm to it with great views from the... More

No designer furniture or whirlpools but location is the luxury of this hotel. Located at the border of Lake Como with a beautiful garden to relax in and order from your chair a macchiato or aperol spritz. The restaurant is fairly good but choice is limited if you stay for a couple of days. But dining on the porch with... More

My wife and I had different views of the hotel. Firstly, we both agreed that the location was excellent, the restaurant good (although choices limited) and the service was good. Where we had different views was that I thought the hotel was a little 'tired' in places whereas she thought it had old world charm. Either way, I would happily... More

This hotel enjoys a fabulous setting by Lake Como, offering simple yet elegant accommodation in what is a stunning setting. Rooms on the lake side are better than road side as you can open your windows at night and listen to the waves lapping onto the shore rather than slightly more invasive traffic noise. You will also need to get... More

Having walked across from Switzerland this hotel was indeed a jewel in the paradise of Lake Como. It was like stepping back into a gentile country house in Edwardian times with a relaxed and family feel. The exterior of the hotel is classic Italian and the inside is like a country house. We had a mountain view hotel which no... More

Highly recommended. Suggest 3 nights or more !! to fully immerse in the San Giorgio experience. Felt like 1905 as a guest in an English style boarding house. The hotel has a fascinating family history (see history page of hotel website). It's 3 spacious lounges, gracious and containing an eclectic mix of old furniture. The lovely gardens infront of the... My family and I spent 7 nights at this hotel in early July 2016 and had the most wonderful holiday. The hotel is right on the lake at Lenno in Lake Como and has amazing views. We had two lake view rooms one for my wife and I and one for our 3 children aged 11, 14 and 16. The... More

I visited this charming hotel for the weekend with three girlfriends. The owner/manager was extremely welcoming and offered lots of helpful advice during our stay. The hotel is in a wonderful location right on the lake and our simple rooms had a wonderful view. The hotel is in a great location if you are looking for peace and quiet, but... More
