The "La Casa del Melograno" is a very beautiful "Bed & Breakfast" suspended on the sea of Furore, splendid place for five kilometers from Amalfi, along the tornantis of one of the most beautiful roads of the world. When you enter in "La Casa del Melograno" it fully dips in the forms, in the colors and in the perfumes typical of "Divine Coastline" but true magic is the embrace of the sea that, incomparably blue, it winds the splendid terraces of the B&B that it turns you into an unique window on the immense one. And it is on this terrace, where it feels it as on the bow of a gigantic ship that Umberto and Virginia they offer the rich and colored breakfast, a real propitiatory rite to authentically begin the exploration of a magic earthThe intense blue of the sea of the Coastline is framed by the green and by the intense red of the pomegranates that the B&B in a perfect marriage of the earth with the sea

Absolutely amazing B & B, old building nicely renovated. Definitely the best part to enjoy the evenings and breakfast was the terrace which offers wonderful views to the sea and nearby Praiano. All though Furore might not be the most central town of Amalfi coast, it’s definitely more authentic since there are not so much tourists and even in high season you can enjoy a peaceful holidays up in the mountains of Amalfi Coast. Umberto and his team are very helpful giving you advice about the best beaches or if you need anything around in the B&B. It was so great to spend my holidays in Casa del Melograno and Furore!

We had a wonderful time at Umberto's bed and breakfast and most amenities were provided. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. The breakfast on the terrace was the most memorable breakfasts I've ever had. The homemade Italian breakfast served was the perfect start to a say of sightseeing. The location is away from the main touristy areas of Amalfi so a car is definitely needed. My only recommendation would be to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and an update on the hairdryer as it looked past it's best. Apart from that Umberto was very welcoming and it was a pleasure to stay at his B&B and hopefully, we will return one day :)

First impressions count and the host made a lasting impression but for all the wrong reasons whilst at the same time making us feel as welcome as goldfish in a sand pit. We booked a room with a balcony but our room did not have a balcony. We were told the communal terrace where breakfast was served each morning is our balcony!! We wer however told if we didn’t like it we could leave!! The one and only window in the room also overlooked the communal terrace so once in the room with window and door closed for privacy it became like hot cell - as the air con would only run for 5 mins before turning off!! The solarium appeared to be under construction something we were not made aware of prior to arriving The location albeit extremely remote is stunning but after having such a disappointing visit I would advise to avoid.

Dear Madam, I am very sorry that you did not appreciate our structure, I believe that your comment is not consistent with your ideas, it is true that he has been angry, since when he arrived he tried to find obstacles to get a discount on the price, he saw 3 rooms and chose the one that pleased her, I offered her not to take the room without any penalty, and she wanted to stay, so I think she liked everything, now please stop saying untrue things. Regarding the air conditioner, she had entered a winter program, so it could not work, if she set a summer program out cold air. I'll give you an advice, the next time you leave a hotel, greetings that is a HUMAN gesture. Greetings UMberto Somma.

Wanted to write an honest review so others understand what they're getting into before booking here. First, important to note the location. While this is a cute area and a nice property that the owner manages himself, its pretty far from town/civilization. Requires a walk up or down 300 or so stairs in either direction to get to a bus station or market. We couldn't go anywhere without being incredibly sweaty. No fancy dinners for us. Since there is not much to do at the actual location, you spend a lot of time going up and down those stairs just to get somewhere else. One of the reasons we picked this place was because of the website and the list of "excursions" available. I wrongly assumed this would be similar to other resorts that have a list of options, but basically the owner does everything and just sends you to his friends. We did a boat tour from Amalfi to Capri and back for €90/person where we were told we'd get unlimited drinks, and the driver only gave us 1 beer each at the end of the 8 hour tour and he was kind of weird about even offering that, as if we were stealing from his private stash. As other reviews have mentioned, you probably need a car or a scooter (unless you like stairs) otherwise its a €60 taxi even just to get to Amalfi which is only 15 minutes away. We were much too scared to rent anything because the roads are so windy & narrow and buses and cars seem to appear out of nowhere. Again, cute place, well managed by the owner and we loved the homemade breakfast and patio view, but just wasn't what we were hoping for for 5 nights.

Dear customer, your honest reception is not because you do not tell the whole truth, but you're angry at the excessive cost of taxis. The Amalfi coast is made of steps, narrow streets and full of curves, these make a unique landscape, so if you preferred a city with the train had to book in another place, this makes it clear that she is the first time that leaves home. The comments to be honest must only describe the structure and not the neighboring restaurants or taxis. She arrived here without having to file herself down, wrong, in this way it also puts us in difficulty. The truth is that she did not imagine how it was the Amalfi coast, and when the reality was constantly complaining about having free transef with our car. The next time you come to the Amalfi coast, choose a 5 star hotel on the sea of amalfi, in this way you will not have anything to complain about. Greetings UMberto Somma.

Perfect location between Amalfi and Positano, where you drive to in about only 20 minutes. This B&B offers a quiet stay with a mind blowing ocean view. The host is very helpful depending on what you want to do during your stay here. As a Northern European I really appreciated having the opportunity to choose eggs for breakfast. Nothing I take for granted in Italy - good thinking :) Beds are very comfortable even for a tall guy like me. Remember to taste the homemade fresh lemon here, fantastic. When the planned pool area are in place they will get the fifth star from my side. If/when I return to this area I will stay here again.
