When we arrived at the hotel we were so disappointed to find it on the edge of the cliff, backing onto the main Amalfi coast road and in the middle of nowhere! Any trip out involved using the bus. The bedroom itself was lovely, but the ensuite tiny. However our balcony was 'closed in' and made the room depressing and...

Overall gave the hotel good marks. Old, quiet, quaint. Staff tried hard, friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for modern chain hotel amenities this is different. Things to know. Restaurant is ok and inconsistent. Ordered the 4 course special the first night. Too much food and very bland. Continental breakfast is pre cooked eggs, pastries, cereal, few meats and...

When we arrived myself and friend we stood in the car park , looked around and thought I need to find another hotel. But when you strip back the looks the quirkiness of the whole place, you find a great hotel we'll run , great staff and clean tidy rooms . Perfect for a base to explore this part of...

Just returned from a week here. We stayed in the Cliff hotel and the view from there was breathtaking, overlooking Capri and the most beautiful sunsets. Better still from the bar on the roof with a bottle of wine. Room was superb and kept clean. The food was buonissimo and the staff were great. Free shuttle bus service to and...

This is a great place to stay in between Positano and Amalfi. If you want something that is not in the tourist "zone". The rooms are a good size and have a great balcony over looking the water. There is no beach but a swimming area , about 250 steps down. The breakfast was great, fresh OJ and freshly made...

Just amazing location and rooms which set the theme for the whole holiday. It was not perfect,no place ever is, beds were far too hard to be comfortable and food in restaurant did not match the hotel facilities or the excellent and friendly staff . But we would recommend it for a romantic getaway ps the bathing platform is worth...

Hard to give an overall rating, as standards ranged from the brilliant to the poor. The bougainvillaea-draped restaurant terrace commands simply wonderful views of the coast and sea, with no noise from the road behind. The food was of a consistently high standard. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, as were all but one of the restaurant staff....

Just returned from an excellent break in this iconic part of Italy. Positives: the staff (thanks for all of your help Carmen), food (on half board & had some great meals, monkfish/olives/pasta was my favourite), the room (over the top Italianate styling yet suited the hotel & reminded me of Portmeirion), access to Amalfi/Positano/Capri (via variations of boat/bus/taxi) & the...

All rooms have a balcony and sea views - the hotel is right on the cliffs. It's all very clean and comfortable. But the best things are the amazing food and the friendly staff. I stayed for a week and the dinners were fabulous - fresh fish and vegetables, local wine and the lemon olive oil made from the olives and...

We didn't stay at this hotel but we visited to view the rooms and have food. Really good service. The a la crate menu is extensive with many options to choose from. The service was great and all the staff were very attentive. Definitely worth a visit of you are in the area
