It is unfortunate when you must write a bad review The reason we selected Locanda degli Agrumi is because they advertised they had a hot tub/jacuzzi. But when we arrived, we were disappointed to learn the hot tub was broken. We were told it would be repaired the next day, but it wasn’t. Every day, the owner assured us it would be fixed. However we stayed for five nights and it was still broken when we left. It was our dream to return to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing and relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine. However, it never happened and our dream went unfulfilled. We were not notified about this in advance, no offer was made to find us different accommodations and no compensation was offered during our vacation. One more comment....We had a rental car so the location was not an issue, however if you are traveling by bus then it is a kilometer walk to the bus stop on the main road.

We stayed here several nights around Easter. It is a lovely inn on the side of the mountain with incredible views. Our room was very clean and comfortable with good Wifi. The innkeeper is delightful and serves breakfast every morning on the patio which is shaded with orange trees. Fresh squeezed OJ, cappuccino, Italian pastries and other items. We ate at a wonderful restaurant just a five minute walk (Bonta del Capo). A church is across the street and the night before Easter the road in front of the inn was lined with votive candles and an Easter procession went right by the hotel. Magical. The price is very reasonable. Conca dei Marini is so much more relaxing and better than Amalfi or Positano -- I suggest staying here and doing day trips. There is a small beach you can walk down to with restaurants that Jackie Kennedy used to frequent. However, you do need to figure out your transportation. Taxis ( private cars) are very expensive on the Amalfi Coast. Renting a car is another option and the inn has parking. Or you can take the bus, but it is a hike up and down the mountain to the bus stop, and the bus was not always reliable. Once you get to Positano or Amalfi, it is very easy to take the ferry to other destinations along the coast. I thought this hotel was the ideal choice as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast, especially because I did not care for Amalfi or Positano, but do figure out your transportation logistics in advance.

We were a 7 adults, one toddler and two babies. We took 3 rooms. The overall stay was really nice - Salvatore and his wife were very welcoming and helped us with each issue that came up. For example, on the first day, we had a water pressure and water temperature issue so the next day Salvatore called a guy to fix it, which he did. The breakfast was very nice. Salvatore make a mean Cappuccino. and squeezes fresh OJ. There is a private parking for 3-4 cars. If you're staying on the second or third floor, you will have to face a flight of stairs. The rooms were GREAT and the view is SPECTACULAR, especially from the private balcony. You have a close mini market and a good restaurant you can take away. The less good things - The water pressure is a bit low and if you are staying at the third floor and someone takes a shower on the second floor you might experience an issue with the water temperature moving from nice and hot to boiling red hot and back again. The wifi reception was poor in my room and overall cell phone reception in the area was not that great either. Overall, we had a really nice time!

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful stay here. All the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to help us. Our room was incredibly sweet with a massive ensuite with shower and jacuzzi. Our balcony had a sea view with breathtaking views of Conca Dei Marini. The breakfast was lovely, freshly squeezed juice and local fruits, pastries and breads. Cannot recommend more.

We have chosen the place based on its terrace, and what a view ! But everything was just fabulous! Our hosts Salvatore and his wife Rita were incredible and so accommodating. The room as well as the bathroom were spacious, local style and nicely decorated. It was very clean and comfy. The breakfast had a huge selection and very tasty, each morning Salvatore prepared a fresh squeezed orange juice, and amazing Italian coffee. We had our breakfast each day at the amazing terrace covered by a magnificent lemon tree and sometime had a late evening coffee or tea. I was not feeling well, and both Salvatore and Rita made tea for me as much as I’ve asked. This was just a perfect location for our trip to the Amalfi cost. If we ever come again, there is no doubt, we are returning to this home away from home.
