Kind and smiling people welcoming you warmly to this beautyful white big house by the sea with a garden where to relax and pools where to cool down after a hard work of sunbathing at the beach and with the cutest guys (special greetings to Dimitris - go and meet him!) at the pool bar, who seem to have smiles and jokes for everyone to bring you straight into the mood of vacation. Thanks Irene Palace!

I want to thank the hotel staff for their attention to guests. Check in was instant, gave the keys, the room was ready. The food was excellent, the food is very tasty. At poolbar I would like to thank Dimitris for his attitude to the guests, very friendly, smiling and very attentive. Thank you very much, he made the day more pleasant from morning until evening. Thank you Irene Palace for the hospitality and excellent staff.

Travelled with a friend May 2019 (ladies in our early 60s). We stayed for a week, half board, but most guests were All Inclusive. We had paid extra for a sea view, and the room on the 2nd floor was fine. Nothing special, but clean with plenty of storage space and a fridge & kettle. Small but adequate balcony. Plenty of hot water. (Bath with shower over). The safe was chargeable (as was the wifi which was 15 euros for the week for 2 devices) We were the only British guests at the hotel, the others were German, French, Italian & Russian. Reception staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Food was acceptable, had better, had worse, there was enough choice at breakfast and dinner to never go hungry. Must mention the evening when they had gyros pita AND moussaka on the same night, and they were both delicious. Restaurant staff pleasant and hard-working. There is a nice outdoor terrace just off the restaurant itself where we ate our meals. The first few days it was easy to get a sunbed, (there is a sunbathing area round the main pool plus a large grassy area towards the sea which also has sunbeds), but it was the start of the season, and by the end of our week it was getting busy, so peak season could be a problem. Mattresses could be hired, 1 euro each per day, to make the beds more comfortable . Pool towels were available, we didn't bother as we had our own, but I think it was 3 euros per week per towel. The pool is fab, there is a shallow section but the main swimming area is 9-10 feet deep. There is a lifeguard, and also another one at the children's waterpark area of the hotel. The animation team work really hard. There is lots going on but no pressure to join in if you prefer not to. Marco in particular deserves a special mention for his enthusiasm and friendliness and his infectious smile. His aqua gym classes were great. There were cocktail games, darts, boules, stretching and dancing. And entertainment in the theatre each evening, although we didn't go to that. The pool bar is ok, sometimes a bit of a wait to be served, but the mojitos were lovely. We didn't try the food there. There is a nice leafy shaded area to sit behind the pool bar for a relaxing drink. My only real moan about this hotel was the fact that there was a wedding fiesta there one night - nothing wrong with that, it was beautifully done, but it meant that hotel guests could not use the pool area for the whole day whilst preparations were taking place. The actual pool was available until 2 pm but not the sunbathing area, just the grass. Although our meals were not affected, the outdoor terrace area was closed for the evening meal which was disappointing. The pool bar also closed early that day. The bar inside the hotel was ok but rather cold, and there were not many seats, but there is a pleasant outdoor area just outside it which was nicer. We had a late flight home and there is a shower in the downstairs gym that can be used, just ask for the key at reception. Pool tables, ping pong, crazy golf, hairdresser/beautician, gym, sauna, Tv room & shop all available in this hotel This was not an expensive holiday and I think that this hotel offers really good value for money. There are a few shops and tavernas in Kolymbia but it is not a large resort. The beach is ok, the beach area to the left when leaving the hotel is rather rubbly and not brilliant, but to the right it is nicer. There is a makeshift bar at the beach outside the hotel. Walk further along and there is an attractive fish taverna, but we did not try it.

Went half board for a week in mid April. Although the hotel itself is fine our rooms were dated & in need of refurbishment. We were given a chance to move to a 3rd floor modernised room at the cost of €8 a night. Your not allowed to bring your own drinks to the restaurant so you would end up paying steep prices for low quality drinks they had on offer. The pool was large but bitterly cold at this time of year. Kids loved the mini club although our 10 year old was told she couldn't use the toilet when she asked to go. Pool bar & surroundings are exceptional. Kolymbia beach is worth a walking visit just down the coast. Large fleet of hotel rental cars at very good prices. Don't let them put you on the 2nd floor !!
