Stayed 2 weeks in September. Pro’s very clean, the maid was exceptional and so hard working. Next to nice clean beach, have to pay for sunbeds though but I knew that before we came. People do reserve sun beds in garden the night before by putting mats on they hired from reception. Car hire man was brill, so friendly and gave us good price on car. Not able to get sunbed in day didn’t bother us because we went out. Gardens are nice, we sat in them at night rather than hotel, much quieter and more pleasant surroundings. Kids disco good if you have kids, other entertainment was virtually non existent first week except some Greek night, we gave up second week so not sure if it improved. Food was pretty average, ok nothing exciting. Had better at other all inclusive, waiters were good. Beer was ok, wine had better but what you expect from all inclusive. Cola is disgusting, just cheap syrup. Worst cocktails and gin and tonics etc. Glasses filled with as much ice as possible. Tonics poor, no fresh juice used cocktails or as a mixer, these come out of a pump and horrible and sickly. Not friendliest barman, got the impression we are just a number here is your drink now go. Opposite of car hire man who was ace. This experience has put us off all inclusive for the time been and will be self catering next time. Easting out in Greece is cheap and will get better food and drink. Kolyombia is a nice place good walk on the headland and along beach, few shops bars restaurants. Carousel is very good for an evening meal if you get bored of hotel food…
Hi, We had an all inclusive holiday for 7 nights here, 30 aug - 6 sept 2022. We left dissapointed due to multiple reasons. We are a family with 2 kids, if you're just a couple with no high expectations, maybe you should try it, but for a family with kids, you surely will at least a bit dissapointed. Pro: - 2 pools for kids: one simple with sunbeds near for parents and one with 4-5 slides - playground for kids - each evening, excepting on those with private events, a show is dedicated to kids with music, dance and competitions - 80% of the stuff is very nice Not okay: - at breakfast the water is missing you can only served it from inside, no bottle on the table, impossibile to simply refill your kid's water bottle - each morning they serve the same variety of food: eggs, bacon, croissants, pancakes, gem, salads - same if the food was obviously re-cooked - the pools - kids and adults - are closing at 17:00 each day - the cocktails are something spontaneously created, the sodas are with syrop, very bad tasting - for example: Coca-Cola - they don't serve the original one, it's something really owful tasting - with 2 kids, we had to re-call the stuff, 2 days on the road because the card wasn't functional anymore, we let them know about the problem and they didn't solved it right away, it tookf them 2 days to do that, therefore each time we wanted to enter in the room, we had to go to reception, expect someone to come for like 10 minutes each time - not cool - they serve you with a bottle of water each lunch and dinner, but they don't give you the chance to take that water with you - "it's not allowed", they say - after the kids show, one night, some adults were drunk and they started to just have a show for themselves, on the stage, using the microphone, an embarrasing one, we simply left to take a walk - the water in the shower was colder than the sea one in the early morning, only in the evening the water became a bit hotter…
A wonderful summer vacation in a pleasant beach resort in Kolymbia on the island of Rhodes. Excellent food, of which there was plenty and a large selection. Room was comfortable and clean. Very nice staff. I highly recommend it to everyone.
5 stars for: - The food variety - The garden - The waterpark - The hotel staff (very helpfully) - close to the beach Things to improve: - The rooms needs a renovation (smell old) - missing a mosquito net for Windows - not drinkable cocktails Thank you!
We thank all the staff of Irene Palace Hotel, everyone was kind and helpful with us, really loving with our baby. The food was nice with a good variety for adults and children. The Hotel is suitable for families, with play ground and water park. We didn't miss mini disco, it was really fun. Outside the Hotel you can find restaurants, shops , a Luna Park, bus stop and car rentals. There is also one in the lobby. The beach reserved to hotel was nice, not too windy , a mixture of sand and stones.Even if you are a customer you need to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. Water was clean and colorful. As mentioned before, the staff was good, hard working. The cleaning service came everyday to tide up and clean our room. It was was nice and recently renovated. Other parts of the hotel seemed older and sometimes you could find some details to fix and to improve. But di overall impression was really good! We are really grateful for the nice time we had. Rodhes is a wonderful Island I don't need mention it. We miss our vacation already, we hope to come back soon!…
Beautiful and spacious hotel with huge garden, very close to the sea. Rooms are clean and have really comfortable beds. Food is tasty (I loved wafles by Paris for breakfast and greek evenings) and you can choose from extensive food selection. Staff is polite and friendly - especially receptionists Nina and Antonis, bartenders Filominas and Panos, managers Vasilia and Filimonas and THE BEST waiters George and Maria in the outdoor part of the restaurant. The only drawback is slow wifi and not so good animations. I spent there 2 wonderful weeks and the hotel was like my second home - I'll definitely come back again.
Food good but small menu of salads and drinks. Large queues for both lunch and dinner. Wine and beer are served by the staff. It is often necessary to wait a very very long time for a drink. A complete lack of sunbeds in the garden. On the hotel beach sunbeds for a fee. Among other things, there is no toilet on the beach - only toitoi! (mobile toilet at a 4* hotel, seriously). The hotel is not able to ensure the safety of its clients. We are sure that we always had a lock and yet we lost cash money from the luggage in the hotel room. Whether we should suspect the workers or the cleaning lady, we do not know, but the hotel staff did not want to deal with it at all. On the side, we learned that room thefts are common there! We are really very disappointed that even such a hotel can claim to have 4 stars! It is not true! Just one plus point: Nice evening programs for children.…
If you don't speak german you are not at all on the same level as German speaking guests. Some of the staff were very unpleasant without a smile without kidness. We stayed in a superior room with a sea view. In which we heard evrything around from the cleaners to children's roar or laugher from the room that was 10 rooms from us. Well , evry day I stood in line for food like somewhere in a canteen. The hotel lacks a restaurant where local dishes are cooked and where a waiter serves you.
Luckily for us we spent first 10 days at 5 star resort Lindos Imperrial which was fabulous. We came here just for 4 days looking for change of scenery. What a mistake it was! This hotel is between 2.5 and 3 stars for facilities, service and food. Rooms have been renovated so they are very comfortable. Food is not good, poor quality, no variety and looks not fresh. Compare to 3 star resort in Cuba, Cuba is better! We ended up barely eating for breakfast and lunch and eating out for dinner which cost about 100 euro each night for family of 4. So we are very upset we paid money for all inclusive and didn’t even enjoy it. They are also charging for bottle water which I have never seen in all incisive before. Mojito cost 6 euro even if you are all inclusive. bar staff grumpy with huge line ups. Building and hallways is very old, filthy old green carpet. Pool is very old and very strict life guards who yell at everyone…. Overall, loved Rhodes and other hotel but this was horrible stay luckily only 4 days….perhaps this hotel was badly impacted by pandemic but I feel it should be advertised as 3 star until they improve. Picture is typical lunch menu.…
Pleasantly surprised. Lovely hotel. Spotless hotel. Food was lovely. Staff were so polite and helpful . Beach was few minutes walk. Quite stoney. Great selection of lovely shops just around the corner. Bus stop to many destinations at the entrance to hotel. Lovely weather
